The Bihoo Plus Bihoo router uses a paper packaging box. The appearance of the packaging is very simple. The embossed routing pattern is designed on the top, but it is not very obvious; The label on the back is the product name, model, color, executive standard and relevant information of the manufacturer; The two sides of the packing box are printed with the logo of Bihu - gilded tiger head. I felt heavy when I got the phone, which made me curious.

There is no groove designed on the packing box for easy holding. In addition, the upper and lower boxes are tightly combined, resulting in a sense of damping, which makes it difficult to open the box. When you open the box cover, the first thing you see is the huge Bihoo Plus. The body shape is exactly the same as the product drawing on the outer package.

Take out the router host, and we can see a manual. Open the middle partition, and the network cable and power adapter are below. This is all the accessories of Bihoo Plus.

The shape of Bihoo is very simple. It is a cuboid with a bar light on the top to show the running status of the router.

The body of Bihoo Plus is made of aluminum alloy and plastic. The top and bottom covers are made of plastic. The middle main body is made of aluminum alloy. The whole body is sealed without heat dissipation holes. There are also very few interfaces. The Bihoo Plus does not have the power port commonly used by ordinary routers. Instead, it uses the POE power supply mode, which makes the WAN port and the Power port two in one. The blue interface on the left is shown in the figure below. In the middle is the reset button, which adopts a hidden anti false touch design. When resetting, sharp objects need to be inserted to reset. There is only one LAN port left for Bihoo. If there are many requirements for cable, you need to connect to the switch or secondary routing.

Different from the 12v power supply commonly used by ordinary routers, the power adapter of Bihu Plus uses the 24v DC power supply mode. Because it is a POE power supply, the voltage increase is to reduce the voltage drop during transmission on the one hand, and reduce the current and cable diameter on the other hand.

The WAN port is designed on the power adapter. The POE power supply is formed through the adapter and input to the router.

This router is positioned at large square meters, with wide signal coverage. It is said that the big house can also be easily handled, and it is the strongest signal among routers of the same price. How does it do it? Gangzi's hand itched again. He couldn't help taking it apart to see what kind of design could achieve such a powerful signal. After observation, no screw hole was found. A small hole was seen on the bottom plate. It should be pried from here. Just do what you say and get the tools to start.

It takes a lot of effort to remove it. This is the effect of half removal. So many buckles are really firm. Continue to remove them.

I used all my strength to pry it open. This is the removed bottom plate. Look at these clips. It's terrible. Two round metal permanent magnets, which is why Bihu Route can climb walls. The main chip is AR9341, the latest generation of WLAN SoC from Atheros, the leading WLAN chip manufacturer in the industry. The core is MIPS 74Kc, the main frequency is up to 533MHz, and the integration is extremely high. The AR9341 supports 64MB of DDR1/DDR2 memory and SPI Flash. The AR integrates high-performance MAC/baseband/RF, supports 2.4GHz 2 × 2 MIMO, and can provide up to 300Mbps of wireless bandwidth.

The transport memory chip is H5PS5162KFR, 64M DDR2 of Hynix.

The settings are required for the first use. First, connect the network cable and power it on. After the router is started, connect the hotspot named "BhuWiFi-0" with your mobile phone. There is no password. After that, enter the browser, enter "192.168.62.1", and set according to the prompts. There are two networking modes: dynamic IP and PPOE broadband dialing. Gangzi uses Bihoo as a secondary route. Therefore, if dynamic IP is selected, the direct connection to the optical cat needs to be set to broadband Internet access.

Since Gangzi has experienced the previous generation of Bihoo Routing, scanning the QR code on the manual, downloading the Bihoo Routing APP, installing and registering all the steps are saved. There is no need to talk about it in detail. Go straight to the main topic. The main interface packages the four tabs of Terminal, Optimization, Discovery and My.

First of all, let's adjust the strength of wifi. Bihoo Plus provides a four gear signal strength option. The numbers match the pictures, which is easy to understand.

In order to let more people see my WIFI signal, Gangzi chose the signal option of Big House. Take a look at Newfi and Youku Router in the same location. The signal test of mobile phones in different rooms shows that the signal in each room is the best of Bihoo.

Among the "My" options, the most striking one is the wallet option, which means that all the money earned by the Bihoo router can be put here, and the withdrawal amount must be more than 10 yuan when needed. The wallet needs to be bound to WeChat or Alipay. Gangzi chooses to bind to WeChat. The steps are simple. Follow the prompts.

So, how do users pay? Gangzi tested it himself. First, connect your mobile phone or computer to "Bihoo Secure Share WIFI". This hotspot has no password. After the connection is completed, enter the browser, click a webpage randomly, and you will automatically jump to the reward interface. After you select Alipay or WeChat reward successfully, you can start to surf the Internet. Gangzi gave himself a reward of 0.56 yuan after a test, but only 0.31 yuan was received from his wallet. Where is the other 0.25 yuan? After many inquiries, we learned that the money was distributed by Bihu as a service charge. That is, all the money you earn through Bihoo Plus must be shared with Bihoo, but the specific share ratio has not been clearly stipulated. Some said 20%, some said 30%, but this time, 44% of Gangzi's reward was taken away. The amount needed for reward on the computer side will be more, generally around two yuan.

After several days of trial, I felt that the Bihoo router was really good in terms of signal, but there were many shortcomings in other aspects. The price of 299 yuan still seemed a little expensive. As Gangzi's family is located in the old campus, the staff is relatively stable, so he has not received any income. advantage:

1. The signal is powerful, which can support large houses and facilitate the spread of wifi farther.

3. The permanent magnet on the back can be adsorbed on the steel object to save space.

4. POE power supply reduces router wiring, which is simple and convenient.

5. Built in 8G memory card, although the usage method is not announced at present, I hope it can be used in the future.

6. Lifetime free renewal reduces worries.  

Disadvantages and suggestions:

1. There is only one LAN port, which is suitable for users with more wifi devices and less wired devices. If there are more wired devices, they need to connect to the switch.

2. The reward rules are not clear, and there is no explanation on how long the Internet can be accessed after reward, and how users can pay.

3. The commission fee for reward income is too high. If you want to go this way, I suggest that the hardware be free and the income be used for hardware.

4. It is suggested that the official should do more publicity on the security of public wifi. After the publicity on March 15, many people are afraid to connect to external wifi. If they do not do much publicity, I'm afraid the income will not be too high. After all, when paying, they need to jump to WeChat or Alipay. Their security needs to be publicized to make more people feel secure.

5. There is no USB port and LAN sharing is not possible. If external storage can be connected, can we use it to share and gain benefits?
