As far as Cyanogen is concerned, most people think that the CM system should be the first one. The Android third-party ROM CM compiled by Cyanogen's team has been widely used and has always enjoyed a lot of praise. The Cyanogen team had previously said that they would develop a browser of their own. Now their product has come out and is named Gello.

The left 1~2 are the settings interface of the Gello browser. The right 1~2 are the settings interface of the Chrome browser
The browser is developed based on Chromium code (based on the webkit kernel). Its entire design language follows Google's Material Design, and the browser's entire interface is also very similar to Chrome. However, compared with Chrome, Gello has added many small functions, including page search, color status bar, night mode LookLock、 Power saving mode, text zoom, etc.
Gello's page search
We can use the "Search" function to retrieve text on the page. The text retrieved on the page will be selected in color, and the retrieval speed is almost instantaneous.

Gello's multi window selection interface is in the form of square cards. You can edit the bookmark content immediately after saving the bookmark. The operation design here is still full of Material Design.
Colored status bar
Gello's "color status bar" is described as the status bar will change its color based on the page visited. For example, on Taobao, the color of the status bar has changed to orange, while on Bing, it has adapted to dark green, and JD is dark red. Of course, sometimes color recognition is also very urgent, such as in Love to play computer games When the page was turned into khaki
When the browser of the status bar Gello slides up and down on the page, the URL bar will be automatically hidden. At this time, with the "color status bar", the whole painting style will be harmonious.
Text size and zoom
In the set auxiliary functions, the text size of the page can be zoomed. Compared with manually zooming, this directly adjusted zoom is simpler and more direct.

We simply tested the power saving mode of Gello, and the model used is the Nexus 6P (Snapdragon 810). When the power saving mode is turned on or off, the loading speed of the web page does not affect much, and the CPU core and frequency are regulated in much the same way. The four A53 cores are also turned on. However, in the power-saving mode, the frequencies of the four A53 cores will not run to full frequency during the page loading process, while when the power-saving mode is turned off, the four A53 cores will basically run to full frequency.
Left: Nexus 6P scored 362.8ms in Gello Right: Nexus 6P scored 598.6ms in Chrome
In fact, in addition to the above mentioned functions, compared with Chrome, it also supports the browser's default search engine selection (Google, Bing, China Yahoo, Baidu), sets automatically filled documents, and turns on LookLock mode (described as preventing other applications from reading web view content from the application), which will prohibit screenshots, and so on.
In addition, in the case of the Nexus 6P (Android N system), Gello's daily spider performance is 362.8ms, while Chrome's is 598.6ms. Gello's daily spider performance actually exceeds that of Chrome.
summary
The browser is more like a multi-functional Chrome. Its operation logic is almost the same as that of Chrome, and its interface design is also very similar to that of Chrome. We use the 1.0 version of Gello. According to the Cyanogen team, Gello is a browser specially adapted for CM13, but actually it can be used on many models, even without Android 6.0 system, such as one plus two LG G4、LG G5、Nexus 6P、Nexus 5X、MX5、 Meilan Note3 and so on are supported (Xiaomi 5 does not support).
