I About Standards

Standards are something I attach great importance to, which may be related to my work habits. From the information I know, there is no national standard for anti haze respirator products at present, while the known standard is dust prevention products from labor protection—— GB 2626-2006 The measurement of its protective ability seems to be based on PM0.3 In other words, products that meet this standard have a stronger ability to prevent haze.

At the same time, for the same GB 2626-2006 Standard products are also divided into KN90 、 KN95 and KN100 Three levels, each with 90% Above 95% Above and 99.97% Above. Note: KN It corresponds to the protection of non oily particles.

The reason why standards should be emphasized is that it is impossible for all people to have the ability to test product protection, and it is also impossible for all people to take the purchased products to the Quality Supervision Bureau for testing, so it is very important to have a reliable and referential basis.

II Product unpacking

Well, as a personalized protective product, the packaging is very trendy, and the color matching of black and yellow is very dynamic (remember the racing stripes on Bumblebee?). Take out the inner box of the product, open the package, and the inner package is covered with a manual (front and back, the back is the manual).

III Disassembly and fitting

The main body of the product is basically divided into five layers from the pentagram to the mask - the first layer is the upper layer. The front of the upper cover is decorated with "knots", while the air inlet of the whole mask is around. I think this design may be to avoid the direct blowing of the front air into the mask and reduce discomfort (for example, when riding a bicycle). As can be seen from the figure, the workmanship is good, the surface is smooth and clean, and there is no obvious defect or burr inside.

The third layer is the support part for placing the filter cotton insert. The triangular mesh above is the coverage area of the filter cotton, which is somewhat special in shape, so the filter cotton is also made into this bowl shape, which will be mentioned later. The lower part is the exhalation valve, and the surface is covered with a thin rubber cover film. When inhaled, the pressure will stick to the surface to prevent gas from entering, while when exhaled, the soft rubber cover film will be blown open, which will not prevent gas from flowing out.

The fourth layer is the headband layer, that is, the elastic fabric layer, which is glued behind the head with velcro to achieve the effect of fixing the mask. Two holes are designed on both sides of the headband, so the ears can be free from constraints. The design is very considerate. Elastic fabric can also ensure the size of the head without wearing problems.

The fifth layer is the bottom bracket and mask layer. The upper bottom bracket is connected with the third layer through screws to achieve the sealing effect, while the soft sponge mask is attached to the face, which is comfortable to wear and has good sealing performance.

The second layer that is missing in the above is the replaceable filter cotton.

The above five layers form a complete respiratory protection system - gas enters from the pores on both sides of the first layer, passes through the second layer of filter cotton, enters the nasal cavity or oral cavity through the triangular grid on the third layer, and exhales through the respiratory valve at the bottom of the third layer.

It seems that everything is normal at present, but it is a respiratory protective equipment after all. If you can go to a place like my hometown where the watch explodes, you will have a big problem if you don't wear it properly. It can be seen from the above gas inflow and outflow situation that as long as the gas flows smoothly from the design position of the mask and the unexpected gas enters, filtration can be basically guaranteed. The first is the bowl shaped filter cotton design. Although I have used many masks, I don't know much about the material of filter cotton. However, I still think that the bowl shaped filter cotton is much more complicated than the flat filter cotton. I think this heterogeneity is related to the bowl design.

The second is the airtightness of cooperation. It can also be seen from the appearance of the filter cotton above that there is a dotted line inside the edge, which outlines the shape of the filter cotton. However, the distance between the solid edge of filter cotton and the dotted line is not consistent, some are wide and some are narrow. This leads to the need to pay more attention during installation. If the filter cotton is not suitable, a gap may appear... Although it is not sure whether it will be closed after being covered, and it is not sure what impact it will have on the situation, it is not sealed that it is not sealed.

Third, as mentioned before, the third and fifth layers are sealed by screwing together. The advantage here is that the elastic headband in the middle can be removed for cleaning after it is dirty again, but at the same time, the airtightness also exposes problems. When the manufacturing tolerance of the parts deviates in the opposite direction, the fitting is insufficient and the gap is exposed. In fact, the screw on the top right of my mask can't be tightened no matter how hard it is tightened, because there is no screw opening to screw in, and the length is not enough... In addition, although the plastic material can deform under the screw pressure to achieve the sealing of the third and fifth layers, too much tightening will also make the plastic material produce stress and bury hidden dangers.  

IV summary

For me, this is really a test full of expectations and disappointment. Mainly after working for nearly ten years, dust protection has always been an essential protection requirement in our industry. When the haze first appeared, I saw too many products with good publicity and beautiful pictures that meet the medical mask standard or even just meet the enterprise standard (although not necessarily the enterprise standard is lower than the national standard, but, hey, do you believe??), and also known as imported anti dust products PM0.1 Mask.
