1、 Brief review of appearance

One of the biggest selling points of 360 5G Secure Routing (hereinafter referred to as 360 Routing) is its fiber level router on the front of the package. The back of the box is the basic configuration of the router.

There are no highlights in the accessories: host, power adapter, warranty card/manual.

However, its power adapter is larger than that of an ordinary router, and its output power is also larger, 12V=1.5A. The cable of the power adapter is about 1m long, which can meet most needs.

The front panel of 360 Route contains 10 LED lights, which respectively display: power supply, system, USB status, 2.4GWiFi, 5GWiFi, Internet status, WAN interface and the status of 1-4 LAN interfaces. The display is rich. At the same time, the LED light can be set to be normally on, normally off or time switch by setting.

2、 APP use

Two open WiFi (360WiFi and 360WiFi_5G) will be automatically sent out after 360 Route accesses the WAN port and power supply. At this time, open the downloaded router guard to automatically bind the current router and perform the basic settings of the router. I didn't take a screenshot of this place because I was lazy, but I still made some simple explanations about the router guards.

On the first screen after entering the APP, there will be six functional areas to choose from: network speed management, security protection, smart home management (not yet open), online diagnostics, expansion tools and routing settings. Although there are still many incomplete functions on the app, they are basically complete. However, in terms of expansion tools, 360 Route is not small, but there is still a gap between 360 Route and Xiaomi Route mini in terms of expansion: USB can only be used as a home network disk to store photos and videos (drop student card), while Xiaomi Route mini can download videos directly through the router background.

3、 Actual use

（1） Limit network speed test

1. Wireless test

This time, I chose four places at home to test the network speed and signal strength. (In the through wall mode)

First, point A:

Point A is about 50cm away from the router. In this case, the 2.4G signal can almost be called a burst meter, but the channel rating is poor under the interference of surrounding WiFi hotspots; The 5G signal is slightly less good, but thanks to the less interference of 5GWiFi, the channel rating is very high.

Point B

The distance between point B and the router is about 5m, and there is no wall barrier in the middle. In this case, the 2.4G signal has greater attenuation than the 5G signal because of the loss signal, and more interference is received at point B, so the channel ratings of both signals are reduced.

Point C

Point C is about 7m away from the router, and there is a wall in the middle. However, the 2.4G signal is basically the same as point B. The 5G signal decays rapidly due to the barrier of the wall. Also, because there are many interferences at B and C, the channel rating is reduced.

Point D

Point D is 5m away from the router, but there are two walls in the middle. The 5G signal is relatively poor. The 2.4G signal benefits from the 360 through wall mode, so the signal is good. In terms of uplink and downlink speed and delay, it may be that the home is too small, and the data at the four ABCD points are basically the same.

2. Wired connection

I chose the speed measurement network（ ）Test.

·PC direct connection:

The download speed is 7.93Mbps, and the upload speed is 3.12Mbps, which is the normal 10M fiber broadband level.

·Routing LAN port to connect to Mac:

The download speed is 4.14 Mbps, and the upload speed is 1.09 Mbps. This slowdown is a bit scary. It seems that the so-called optical fiber level only refers to the WiFi level.

（2） Limit interference test

At point A, test the delay and packet switching rate through Android APP PING:

When the local IP address is entered for testing, the packet dropout rate is 0, but the delay of 2.4G is significantly more than that of 5G. At this time, the advantages of 5G are still reflected.

（3） Stability test

In terms of intuitive use, there is a big problem with the stability of 360 routing. 2.4GWiFi is used in small online games such as Joy Mahjong and Joy Doo Landlord. It is often dropped every two or three days. The stability of 5GWiFi is more worrying than that of 2.4G. Sometimes, the network cannot be connected at point C. I feel very tired.

4、 Summary

360 5G security routing has excellent ability to penetrate the wall. Even in the case of two walls, 2.4G signals remain relatively good. The addition of 5G signals also makes up for P1's regret. However, there are still big problems in wired connection, client experience and WiFi stability. I hope the manufacturer can improve them.
