Recently Meizu officially released a new generation of Meilan product - Meilan 3 at the Beijing National Convention Center. The machine uses MediaTek MT6750 processor, with 2GB memory in the standard version and 3GB memory in the high configuration. The built-in storage is 16GB/32GB. It still uses a polycarbonate back cover, but it is lighter and thinner. Let's see what changes Meilan 3 has made compared with the previous generation of products.
Unpacking&Appearance:
Meilan 3 adopts the consistent packaging style of Meilan, a simple white packaging box.
The side is marked with "Meilan Youth Good Product".
There are detailed product information and configuration instructions on the back. Meilan 3 supports all Netcom and blind plug.
After opening the box, Meilan 3 lay quietly inside.
A stylus printed with Flyme is included.
The attached charging head is 5V 1.5A.
The package is simple, and only the data cable, charging head and instructions are attached.
Although it is a thousand yuan machine, Meilan 3 has a good appearance.

Meilan 3 uses 2.5D glass, which makes the hand feel more round than Meilan 2, and the edge will not hurt the hand.
The polycarbonate shell is still used on the back, and we got the silver version.
Although it is still made of plastic, it feels rather astringent. Thanks to the reduction of thickness and the overall rounded shape, it has a good grip and good texture.
The design of the four corners and back radian is relatively round.
The built-in Meizu music has a good use experience.
MBack has become the standard configuration of Meizu. Unfortunately, Meilan 3 does not support fingerprint recognition.
The left is Charming Blue 3, and the right is Charming Blue 2. It can be seen that the former is much more rounded, and the 2.5D radian is quite obvious under the light.
The back shape is also similar, and the radian of Magic Blue 2 is larger, but because the thickness of Magic Blue 3 is reduced, the grip feel is improved compared with that of Magic Blue 2.
The SIM card slot position is basically the same. The card slot position of Magic Blue 3 is slightly reduced, and the volume and power button position on the right are also reduced.
The openings at the bottom have changed to a certain extent. The call microphone part has changed from one opening to four. The design of the bottom is more symmetrical.
The location of Meizu's logo has changed from the bottom to the upper middle part.
The original location only retains the manufacturer's information.

Pi has been greatly improved compared with Meilan 2, shortened to 34.855 seconds, but there is still a slight gap compared with Hongmi 3's 31.841 seconds. In the RAR reading and writing performance test, its score has been improved compared with that of Meilan 2, but there is a big gap from that of Hongmi 3.
Meilan 3 uses MediaTek MT6750 processor, four 1.5GHz A53 cores and four 1.0GHz A53 cores. Its single core performance is slightly higher than that of Hongmi 3 using Snapdragon 616, but its multi-core performance lags Hongmi 3 by about 300 points. There is still some gap. However, compared with the 1707 points of Meilan 2, Meilan 3 has greatly improved.
The GPU of the MT6750 is equipped with two 400Mhz Mail-T860 graphics processing cores. Compared with Meilan 2, it has almost doubled, but it is still slightly behind Hongmi 3, which uses Snapdragon 616.
In the A1 SD Bench test, the reading speed of Meilan 3 is 132.650MB/s, and the speed difference between the three is small, which is within the reasonable range of eMMC 5.0. The writing speed is 31.810, which is slightly lower than that of Red Rice 3, but also within the normal range.
System:
Meilan 3 adopts Flyme 5.1.3, and its core is YunOS3.1.6.
The system interface, icons, settings, and operation logic are almost identical to other Meizu mobile phones.
The operation of the whole machine is smooth. In addition to no fingerprint identification, as a 599 machine, there is not much to be picky about.

Meilan 3 upgraded the camera to 13 million pixels and added phase focusing. Let's take a look at the sample of Meilan 3. Because we got the test machine late, we only have the night view sample for the time being.
In the night scene environment with sufficient light, the performance of Meilan 3 is acceptable, the white balance is relatively accurate, and it has got rid of the situation that the thousand yuan level can only be used in the daytime in the past. However, its focus accuracy at night still needs to be improved, and the dark smears under complex light sources are also heavy.
Summary:
Meilan 3, as a mobile phone with a price of only 599, has achieved a reasonable balance in terms of workmanship, feel and performance. In our use, both smoothness and heat are controlled within a reasonable range. As the first mobile phone equipped with MediaTek MT6750 processor, its performance has been greatly improved compared with the previous generation Meilan 2, However, it is slightly weaker than Red Rice 3, which uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 616. However, the price difference between the two is 100 yuan, and it depends on the user's choice.
