Compared with the previous two generations of Meilan, we can find that the screen parameters and quality of Meilan series are shrinking all the time. The CPU performance of Meilan 3 is certainly the highest in history, but the memory and GPU performance of the first generation of Meilan is the highest. Of course, Meilan 2 and Meilan 3 are both priced at 599 yuan, which is understandable.

Although the Snapdragon 616 is one of the worst known mid and low-end SoCs, the MT6732/6735 has no pressure to win the absolute performance of the two generations of Meilan. The CPU part is not much ahead, but the GPU and storage performance are greatly crushed.

Although the full score of Meilan 3 has not yet come out, the parameters are obvious enough. The CPU performance of Meilan 3 is close to that of Red Rice 3's Snapdragon 616, but the GPU part is still crushed, and the flash memory speed is not optimistic.

This time, Meilan 3 didn't sacrifice its performance to control the price and the whole network, as the previous generation did. It not only added 2.5D glass, but also increased its battery, which seemed quite sincere.

Compared with the rival Hongmi 3, Meilan 3 wins in price, appearance and feel (lighter, rounder and mature body). Although there is a new SoC from MediaTek, the 2860mAh battery is still difficult to win the red rice 3 of Snapdragon 616+410mAh battery.

The difference between Meilan 3 and Hongmi 3 is like the difference between Meizu and Xiaomi: the former is good at appearance and design, and the latter is better than the configuration itself. However, their biggest difference may be the barrier between 599 and 699... After all, for machines with only a few hundred yuan, the price difference of 100 yuan is quite fatal.
