The 2016 MacBook was updated in a low-key manner on Apple's official website. It is still the original design, with the addition of rose gold color matching, upgrading the CPU to the second generation Core M processor. Recently, iFixit has disassembled this rose gold MacBook. Let's take a look at its internal changes.
Parameters:
Screen: 12 inch 2304 * 1440 (226PPI) IP screen
Processor: Intel Core m3 (dual core, main frequency: 1.1 GHz) can be equipped with Intel Core m7 (dual core, main frequency: 1.3 GHz) at most
Graphics processor: Intel HD Graphics 515
Memory: 8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3
Storage: 256GB/512GB PCI-E SSD
Connection: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless network connection, Bluetooth 4.0
Interface: USB Type-C interface, 3.5mm headphone interface
The two are almost identical in appearance. It is difficult to distinguish them from each other in appearance without the rose gold color matching. The 2015 MacBook and 2016 MacBook are both marked with A1534. The difference between the two models is that the EMC code of 16 models is 2991, and the EMC code of 15 models is 2746.
When we took apart the MacBook shell, we found that the metal skeleton inside was also rose gold.

Here, the three wing screws on the 2015 MacBook are replaced by the current Philips screws, Other screws inside are conventional Philips Torx screws. There is a layer of blue glue on the screw of the hinge, which makes it less easy to unscrew.
Upper (2016 MacBook USB Type-C interface) Next (2015 MacBook USB Type-C interface)
The flat cable at the USB Type-C interface of the 2016 MacBook is fixed on the USB board by plastic, which places two parts on the same unit, while the 2015 MacBook uses a separate device.

Because in both The USB Type-C interface uses parts with completely different structures, so the 2015 and 2016 USB Type-C interface parts cannot be used universally.
Its battery shape is exactly the same as that of the 2015 MacBook, but the battery capacity of the 2016 MacBook has increased from 7.55V and 39.71Wh of the 2015 model to 7.56V and 41.41Wh of the current model. It is officially claimed that it can play iTunes movies for 11 hours.
There is adhesive on the battery, so you need to be careful when removing the battery. Finally, the batteries of the 2016 MacBook and the 2015 MacBook are completely universal.

The final repairable score given by iFixit is 1 point, which means that the maintenance cost of 2016 MacBook is very high, and it is difficult to carry out recoverable disassembly and maintenance.
There are no three wing screws on the 2016 model. All of them are standard Philips screws. Its processor, memory and flash memory are still welded to the motherboard. The battery has adhesive on it. You must be very careful to remove the battery. The screen still has no outer protective glass. If the screen is damaged, the replacement cost is quite high.
