After several months, the cookie bike finally arrived, and I received a single speed white blue M code version, which is just enough for me to drive at a height of 170cm. In terms of packaging, it is packed in a large paper trunk, and many important parts are wrapped with packaging cotton or paper, so there is only a little scratch after transportation.

The assembly of the cookie bike is relatively simple, and the entire assembly process only requires standard tools. The installation process is mainly divided into four steps. The first step is to install the front wheels, which support quick disassembly, so that we can place bicycles in daily life; Then it is to install the cushion. I suggest that you can use the tape on the package to bind the USB cable to prevent the USB plug from separating from the interface when pulling down the cable; Next is the installation of pedals and handlebars; Finally, check whether other screws are tightened and adjust the brake. The whole process takes about 15 minutes.

Compared with LeEco Smart Bike, the appearance of the Cookie Bike is not so fancy. With its simple shape and white and blue colors, it looks more like an ordinary bike, but in fact, it is an intelligent bike.

The frame of the Cookie Bike adopts a patented triangle structure, which is not only stable, but also has a lower center of gravity, making riding more comfortable; The use of 6061 aluminum alloy makes the frame more solid. The Cookee on the frame looks very cute, giving people a fresh feeling. It is worth mentioning that the overall weight of the cookie bike is very light compared with the bike I used before, only 10kg. Although I have to lift the bike down from the fifth floor every time I use it, I don't feel very tired.

As an intelligent bicycle, almost all the intelligent hardware of the Cookie Bike is concentrated at the handlebars. That's why if there is a problem with the intelligent hardware of the car, you just need to send the handlebars for repair instead of the whole vehicle, which facilitates after-sales maintenance. The bow shaped integrated handlebar makes the car head look more elegant and more scientific. At the front of the handlebar is the LED headlamp, at the middle of the front is the speed/power (when charging) indicator, and at the bottom is the GPS chip. There is a USB type C charging interface on the back of the handlebar, with a waterproof cover on it. The cable also adopts a waterproof design to ensure no water ingress in rainy days.

The LED headlights at the front of the car are composed of five small LED lights. There are two modes of light emission: constant light mode and flashing mode. In the constant light mode, the overall brightness is very good. It can reach about 5 or 6 meters in front. The actual effect is shown in the figure above. It's safe to turn on headlights when walking on some remote roads or roads without street lights.

The actual effect of flashing mode is shown in the above dynamic diagram. Compared with the constant light mode, the brightness of the flashing mode is much lower, mainly to attract the attention of surrounding vehicles when riding on the road, and improve the safety of riding.

The speed/power (when charging) indicator can choose different colors according to your preference. It will light up according to the speed when riding, and it will look very cool at night.

The handle of the cookie bike gives me a good grip. It fits my hand well and has great friction. Even if my hands are sweaty, they won't slip. There are five buttons on the left handle cover, namely, the horn, the steering headlight and the B button. The difference between the buttons is still large, and even blind pressing will not make mistakes when cycling. But when the cart is going up the slope, it is often touched by mistake. Maybe it would be better to stack the keys to the right. There is a turn light on both sides of the handle sleeve, which will light up after pressing the turn key, and the handlebar will also vibrate. The single speed version of the Cookie Bike uses the C brake of Yanhao Tektro. The quality and braking performance are good.

Personally, the cushion of the Cookie Bike is relatively hard, and you will feel a pain in your buttocks when you ride for a long time. There are laser lane lights and integrated tail lights under the cushion, which can emit laser lanes around the riding lane at night, not only effectively ensuring the safety of riding, but also bringing full force!

The Cookie Bike uses Zhengxin CST TRAVELLER's road tires, which are specially designed for paving roads, and are more suitable for urban road conditions, that is, bald tires, with a specification of 700 32C. The inner tube air nozzle is French type, and you need to buy a special pump or adapter. For me, I have always ridden mountain bikes in the past, and it is the first time to ride a road bike. It gives me the feeling that road bikes are much faster than mountain bikes in terms of speed. Running on roads with a single lane is really much easier, but because it is a single speed version, it is difficult for many climbing sections.

The foot pedal produced by Wellgo, an old Taiwanese brand, is quite gripping, which is conducive to improving the efficiency of cycling. Note that the Cookie Bike is not equipped with foot braces as standard. If you need them, you can buy them separately.

The rear wheel of the car is equipped with a speedometer. When we are riding, we can see the current speed through the indicator light in the front of the car. Of course, if we are not shy, we can also set the B key to play the current speed, and play the speed while riding!

It is commendable that most of the lines in the body of the cookie bike can be hidden in the frame, which adds a lot to the simplicity and beauty of the car. Compared with this, the handlebar main board looks a bit crude, exposed directly without installation, and the flat cable gives a feeling that it can easily be broken. Although the joint surface with the sitting tube is equipped with waterproof glue, this waterproof glue is easy to wear off if it is assembled and disassembled for many times. It is recommended to make the main board sealed to ensure the safety of the main board.

For most of today's smart products, mobile phones must be connected when they are used, and Cookie Bike is no exception. However, the cookie bike is slightly different. In addition to its own app, it can also be connected and controlled directly through WeChat. In terms of completeness, apps are certainly better than WeChat, but when it comes to experience, I prefer to control through WeChat. First, with the increase of smart products around me, the drawer is full of apps that control them, which makes people feel very upset; Secondly, the function on WeChat is only less than that on App.

Through WeChat, we can choose the color and ringing tone of the heartbeat light we need, as well as the function of selecting the B key.

After the car is locked or unlocked, WeChat will receive a notice. When someone steals your bike, the bike will send out words like "someone steals the car" and "be gentle with me" to attract the attention of users or people around. At the same time, the bike will also report its current position through WeChat to facilitate the recovery of the bike. If it is a gearshift version, the rear wheels will be equipped with a physical lock, which works well with the intelligent lock. However, the single speed version does not have a physical lock. I suggest you equip a bicycle lock yourself. After all, when a bicycle loses power or is attacked by some rampant thieves who ignore the alarm sound, it will be really GG.

Maybe I think the above functions are a bit lame, but the following function is definitely the biggest highlight of Cookie Bike - voice navigation. When we ride a bike to navigate, we often encounter these problems: we don't know the way, take out our mobile phone to look at the map while riding, and then suddenly brake, and the mobile phone drops to the ground and the screen falls; Otherwise, mobile navigation recommends that we take some roads without single lanes or sidewalks, which has great potential safety hazards. For voice navigation, the advantages are obvious:

1. The planned paths are all paths that can be safely passed by a single car. The sound is loud enough for users to hear clearly even in noisy places.

2. Remind the user when he/she goes to the wrong route, and re plan the route;

3. When it is necessary to turn, the handlebars will vibrate to remind and flash the turn signal in the corresponding direction, which is more user-friendly.

4. The most important thing is to let users not take out their mobile phones to look at the map while riding to ensure safety.

However, in the process of use, we also found some areas that need improvement:

1. Voice navigation will have a large delay in some places with weak GPS signals.

2. Voice navigation often uses such directional nouns as "northwestward" and "northward", but it is really difficult for me to distinguish clearly. It is suggested to add a compass on the handlebar to facilitate viewing the direction.

3. In some complex places where there are intersections, overpasses, tunnels, etc., it is still impossible to know how to go by voice alone.

But on the whole, the voice navigation function is great! According to my own experience, navigation uses about 0.3Mb of traffic per hour, because not every time I ride a bike, but 10Mb of traffic per month is already very sufficient.

Maybe you feel strange. It seems that there is no battery. Where does the power of the Cookie Bike come from? In fact, there are five Samsung battery cells hidden between the handlebar and the cushion, a total of 18650 mA. The design of hiding the battery is really good. So, what about the charging and endurance of the cookie bike? Let's take a look at the charging speed first. Here is the time electricity diagram I tested:

Through the test, the cookie bike will be fully charged in about 3 hours. For the 18650 mA battery, this charging speed is already very fast. The endurance of a cookie. According to my own experience, riding for an afternoon, including voice navigation for about an hour, reduced the power from 94% to 52%, with a total power loss of 42%. However, after 3 days of standby, about 9 hours, the current drops from 37% to 13%, and 24% of the power is lost. Therefore, the battery of the Cookie Bike can last about 12 days if it is in pure standby.

Because there is no key on the bicycle, we cannot save power by turning off the car. If it is used normally, it needs to be charged once every four to five days. Personally, this charging rhythm is acceptable, because we don't go out by bike every day, and we don't need navigation every time we ride a bike. But I also hope it can last longer. After all, the anti-theft function needs the support of electricity. If the bike is stolen and the bike has no electricity, then the bike may really not be found.

In the past few days when I experienced the Cookie Bike, I would go out for a spin almost every day. When I get off the bike, the ride experience of Cookie Bike is still great. Voice navigation is used to find convenient and safe travel routes; The intelligent lock car plus the self purchased single car lock provide dual protection... Unfortunately, the single speed version is very hard to climb, and the cushion is quite hard. However, in the process of cycling, I am more impressed with the moral construction of urban cycling, because many roads do not have special bike lanes, and most of them are shared with sidewalks. However, these roads are paved with floor tiles, which are potholed, and very shaking when riding. If you want to enjoy the fun of cycling, you'd better go to the green road for racing~

Compared with many smart products on the market for the sake of "intelligence", what the Cookie Bike has shown me is more like a way to improve and enhance the experience of the product through intelligence based on the original product. In other words, even if there is no intelligent functions such as voice navigation and intelligent locking, the Cookie Bike can be competent even as an ordinary bicycle, And intellectualization makes the experience go to a higher level!
