I have always wanted to buy a large size TV so that I can watch movies and live sports. I have observed it intermittently for half a year. The reason why I haven't started is that on the one hand, it is because of the price, and on the other hand, it is in the state of renting. Buying a large TV will be very troublesome to move. Later, I learned that the price of Jimi's projection is not high, and its reputation is good. The most important thing is not afraid of moving, so I started to use the Z4X aurora.

The entire shape of the polar rice Z4X aurora version is square, and the four corners adopt arc transition. The color matching is the gold of the rotten street. The top is a black arc very similar to the vinyl record. It looks cool, and the logo of "XGIMI" is in the center. The whole projector still has a certain weight, which is heavy in the hand. At the same time, because the surface of the whole projector is sanded to a high standard, the feel is also good.

The thickness of the projector is 5cm, and the most prominent front is the large "glasses" from which all video information is sent, which can project a 300 inch giant screen at most. The Z4X aurora version of the Jimi Jimi has also cooperated with Harman Carton. The specific sound quality will be discussed later.

The speaker is on the left side of the back. The specific sound effect will be explained later. On the right are various interfaces. It has 1 USB2.0, 1 USB3.0, 1 network cable interface, 1 AV interface, 1 headphone interface, and 2 HDMI interfaces, which are more practical. In particular, two HDMI interfaces facilitate switching between different devices, such as connecting a PS4 and a millet box at the same time.

The bottom cover can be opened, but only a 2.5 inch SSD can be placed. In terms of cost performance alone, it is too wasteful to place a SSD here just to download videos. It would be better if it could support a 2.5-inch notebook hard disk.

The built-in remote control is also metal. It's still a little cold in the north of our country in this weather. The keys are slightly hard, the key range is a little short, and there's nothing else to complain about. In terms of functions, the remote control supports voice search, flying mouse function and gravity sensing, which will be discussed later.

In particular, a polar Z4X was found for comparison. Except that the body of the polar version is plastic, the thickness and interface layout of the other versions have not changed. Of course, the metal ones are superior to the plastic ones in both look and feel, which can be seen from the price.

Summary: In terms of appearance, the shape of the polar meter Z4X aurora is not amazing, but the texture improvement of the whole metal body is obvious, and the workmanship is also good, so I am satisfied overall.

Before introducing the specific functions, let's briefly explain the parameters, which can be viewed by interested friends and skipped by uninterested friends. The polar meter Z4 aurora supports up to 1280 x 800 physical high-definition resolution, supports H.265 hard decoding, plays 4K without pressure, supports 2D to 3D, and the brightness value is 600ANSI lumens.

The GMUI system independently developed based on Android 4.3 is adopted by the Z4 aurora of the Jimi. The page is a large color block similar to the WIN 10 interface. Its main functions are very eye-catching and easy to operate. In terms of video resources, we cooperated with Mango TV, and gave a two-year VIP card to Mango TV randomly. one Business interface

The Z4 aurora has a business interface, under which there is no video access, only PPT, WORD, EXCEL and PDF. But first of all, you need to store relevant files in advance in the projector, which is very troublesome. It is not as convenient as using the mobile phone to project the screen directly. I think this function is very useful. If you know something about it, please give me some advice.

two , Voice search

Voice search is now relatively mature. The Jimi Z4 aurora sends search commands through the remote control to search the corresponding video content. The test time is about 5 seconds, and the experience is good. Unfortunately, at present, only its own video content search is supported. There is still no way to voice search for third-party video content such as iQIYI and Tencent Video TV, which I downloaded myself. The user experience is not very complete.

three 、 PC on the same screen

This function is the most practical one in my opinion. Download a PC onscreen assistant on the official website of Jimi, and you can directly project the PC interface onto the large screen. In this way, PPT demonstration does not need to be connected to the projector, and it is more convenient than mobile phone operation. If the network environment is good, it can also project video. It is really convenient to use it in practice, and it is highly recommended.

four Other small functions

When an external video source such as Millet Box is connected, an image preview will appear when you move the cursor to the video interface option. Frankly speaking, this function is practical but not very strong. More importantly, I feel the intention of the team, and I can take such small details into consideration.

I have just boasted and scolded again. The Z4X aurora has the function of projecting the projector onto the mobile phone at the same time. Generally, our mobile phone projects onto the large screen to take advantage of the large screen. Now, I don't know what the design of projecting the large screen to the small screen is for. I really don't understand!

When it comes to the most important video playback link, let me first explain: because I project directly on the wall, the picture quality is worse than that projected on the screen; In addition, the level of taking pictures is average, so the pictures taken are a little worse than the pictures actually seen. In this group of projected pictures, we can see that the overall picture is not sharp enough and the color is not bright enough. The overall picture is somewhat fleshy and not very pleasing to the eye.

If the document is projected, the font is clear and the black and white contrast is clear.

In the most important aspect of video playback, there is no pressure to play 1080P video, and the quality of the whole picture is much higher than that shown in the above picture, which is completely acceptable. In addition, I think the picture quality can be partially ignored due to the large view brought by the large screen.

For 4K video, playback is supported, but it may be that the polar meter Z4X aurora does not support Wi Fi in the ac band, so reading 4K video in the home NAS has obvious stuck. There is no problem with external hard disk playback, but it is not convenient.

To add, the introduction of the Z4X aurora of the polar meter supports 1080P and 4K decoding, which means that these videos can be decoded normally, but the maximum resolution that can be projected is 1280 * 800. That is to say, whether it is 4K or 1080P video, the maximum resolution actually projected onto the screen is 1280 * 800, which should be known.

Jimi Z4 aurora uses the German OSRAM LED light source. The official said that the use time can reach 300000 hours, and the actual use time should be 200000 if it is less than 300000, so there is no need to worry about the brightness attenuation problem, but watch it.

Finally, add two sentences about the sound quality of external playback. The Jimi Z4 aurora uses a diffuse Hakaton speaker, which has a strong stereo sound quality, especially the bass foot. The sound quality is better than that of ordinary TV external playback.

Purchase suggestions: Due to cost and technical constraints, the Z4X Aurora and other projectors priced within 8000 yuan do not support 1080P resolution output, and the overall image quality cannot be compared with that of TV, so they are more suitable for users with high screen size and relatively low requirements for image quality, or users who like me have requirements for portability.
