This time, we received the official quotation of 1698 combo kit, one speaker box, and the other large speaker base. No highlights were found in the packaging style design, and the mainstream level of traditional market speakers. The slogan of redefining the music experience printed on the package and the logo of Alibaba Smart tell us that this is not an ordinary speaker.

Open the box, there are no spare parts for the speaker, just a power adapter and card instruction manual.

To be honest, the first impression I got was a high-end smart rice cooker, which looks like an electric cooker. But it has more details than rice cookers. Its smooth frame, curved three-dimensional shape and a circle of metal mesh around the body make it more concise than traditional speakers. If white plastic is coated with skin like coating or injected with two materials, it will be more high-grade.

The slightly concave arc on the top of the speaker adds a bit of elegance to the white plastic, which is originally thin. In the middle is a monochrome LCD panel and control buttons.

There are many keys in Xiaofei's key area, with basic functions. It also has unique functions such as independent collection, channel switching, voice input recognition and playback. But since the keys are so complete, why not fast forward and fast backward? In the later measurement, press and hold the previous/next song for a long time, unable to fast rewind/fast forward. Sometimes this function is also needed.

There is a QR code in the middle of the bottom of the speaker. Scan it to download the supporting Alibaba Xiaozhi APP. Scan the code again to add the device. The four corners are equipped with rubber feet to stabilize the speaker and avoid excessive resonance during playback.

I almost forgot that this important and only accessory, the 12V-2A, is not small in power, but also in size and weight. Several jacks around the socket are wasted. This detail needs to be further improved. At present, the mobile phone's 20+W fast charger is lighter and smaller than yours.

The back of the power adapter is slightly designed, but it does not consider reducing the size and weight. This setting is strange.

Plug in the power supply, start the machine automatically, the top screen lights up automatically, and the display is starting···

The first time you use it, you need to download the APP and the distribution network. The manual prompts you to scan the QR code at the bottom of the speaker to download the Alibaba Xiaozhi APP. But I scanned it and found the general web page of the Alibaba smart device when it appeared. Forgive me for being so dazzled that I didn't find the place to download it directly. So I searched for Alibaba Xiaozhi in the application store that came with my mobile phone and finally downloaded and installed it successfully, However, the name of the launched app is AliSmart, and the name of the app on the desktop is also AliSmart. It is better to unify the name to avoid user problems.

Back to the point, press the SETUP button on the back of the speaker for a few seconds as instructed, then open Alibaba Xiaozhi APP, and log in using the Taobao account (many times, for accounts involving money, users will worry about logging in to other platforms to some extent, and hope that there will be more ways to authenticate their identity and add devices in the future). Click the Add Device button, which provides multiple connection methods, It is unnecessary to add by selecting the product model according to the instructions. There are too many products in the sub directory, which will dazzle you. You can directly select the first scan code to add, and then input the wifi password under the current wifi name as prompted. The device will enter the distribution network operation, and the addition will be successful later.

After successful networking, music will be automatically selected to play. When you enter the Philips Xiaofei speaker device of APP, you can select many channels to play music, including Xiami, Douban FM, Himalayan FM and Dragonfly FM. This WIFI play is not the nature of the LAN, but can be directly remote. If you are in the company, as long as the home speaker network is open, you can also select music to play remotely. However, the disadvantages are also obvious. Under the same intranet, DLAN push is not supported, and the mobile phone's local music playing function is not enabled in the APP. If local songs need to be played, they can only be connected through Bluetooth or AUX.

In addition, naturally, I tried the voice input function. Press the voice key at the upper right corner of the button area under the display screen, and I said four words of Faye Wong's hurry that year. After letting go, I successfully recognized and quickly started playing (see the video in front of me for the specific effect)

It may be that the version is too low. When the speaker is used for the first time, the built-in firmware prompts that the version is updated, and the speaker can be flushed.

Press the next key according to the prompt to start the speaker firmware version update.

Press the Bluetooth button on the panel to switch to the Bluetooth mode. Turn on Bluetooth, find the Bluetooth device starting with Philips and connect it. Now you can finally play your own music in the phone. Although the overall effect is worse than that of wifi mode.

You can switch between wifi and Bluetooth modes by pressing the Bluetooth key, but you cannot switch to AUX mode. When using AUX mode, the phone or other audio source device needs to be directly connected to the speaker AUX. The speaker will automatically detect and switch to AUX mode, and the screen will display the pattern of AUX line.

Put on the photo of the combination with the base of Peter Pan. Although cute, I prefer the simplicity and beauty of the independent speaker. However, this combination suit is suitable for the elderly and children at home. The hands and head of the base can rotate. After the combination, it is put at home. Children need to listen to stories. You can order them remotely from far away in the company, Children will be more interested in listening to anthropomorphic speakers.

On the back of the assembled Peter Pan, I went to Tmall's official website to check the combined price of 1698 with a base and 599 for a single speaker. In other words, this base costs 1000? I don't think the user will pay for this base. After asking the customer service, they replied that there was an active price of 799 sets with base. In this way, the price was acceptable.

tone quality:

Inevitably, HIFI has nothing to say about it. The music content and the main focus are Alibaba's cloud music platform. Due to the online playing bit rate, the effect itself cannot play well. The overall experience shows that the performance is up to standard, no noise, no bottom noise problems in some speakers. The high frequency is slightly lacking, and the mid frequency performance is good, restoring the reality. It would be better if the bass could dive a little. Compared with other speakers of more than 1000 yuan, the sense of presence is slightly lacking and the level of fullness is not enough. However, the price of Xiaofei speakers is still impeccable when they are sold for 500 yuan alone.

Summary of advantages:

Although there are a variety of input methods, voice recognition search and other functional highlights, speakers are not the goal, and the cooperation between Philips and Ali to build an intelligent device ecosystem is what manufacturers expect. Even if there are some details, I even think that automatic power on/off is not supported. Inserting power on/off automatically saves costs and promotes other smart cloud sockets of Alibaba Smart. Connecting the Wifi socket in my home to Xiaofei just happens to achieve remote power on/off and timed power on/off. To sum up, in the price range of more than 500, this smart speaker with independent features such as differentiation, focusing on voice and online play can still find its user base!
