How can a doorbell know whether there is a wolf or a person checking the water meter? The key is that Xiaodong has a camera. When others ring the doorbell, they will take photos and send them to the bound mobile phone.

Xiaodong packaging adopts the popular kraft paper design of Internet manufacturers. Since Xiaomi, everyone seems to like this packaging design, and inexplicably adds the Internet label to this kraft paper.

On the back of the package, there is only a small label on the lower right corner, which is very simple. The function parameters of the doorbell are not marked. If you want to know more, you can only scan the WeChat QR code.

The package is designed to pull up and down. When you open it, you can see the Xiaodong host, surrounded by black sponge. The protection measures are very considerate.

Because I have to do several tests, I first fixed Xiaodong with transparent tape.

The first test is to put Xiaodong at a height of 1.8 meters.

At a height of 1.8 meters, Xiaodong can only take photos above the visitors' chest. At this time, if the wolf squats and rings your doorbell, you can only see the neighbor's door.

The height above is not suitable. I will put the doorbell at the same height as the cat's eye, about 1.7 meters.

At this time, although the wolf is wearing a hat, we can also see his general outline and see more details.

If you want to get a better effect, you can also place it down slightly so that you can see children knocking at the door.

Generally, there are not many bad people knocking at the door in the daytime, but more at night. Xiaodong is just insufficient in this respect. If there is no light outside the door, it can hardly be seen.

View the photos taken from the visitor record. Unfortunately, they cannot be saved. There are no pictures saved in the mobile phone gallery, and they can only be viewed in the app.

From the picture just now, you may find that there is a regulator on the picture, marked with light and shade, which is actually just equivalent to adjusting the contrast of the picture. The effect is not ideal, it is very poor.

The APP can automatically count the number of visitors. Each photo in the visitor record is marked with a specific time, which is displayed in the form of a timeline. It is very convenient to view.

In addition, although the 480P pixel resolution is not very high, the shooting effect is very good. I am still competent to shoot the exterior, and I can clearly shoot the garden downstairs.

If the photos can be saved, we can use Xiao Dong as a self timer.

The Xiaodong doorbell also has a loudspeaker, which can not only be used as the doorbell sound, but also be used to reply to the knocker on the app. However, it can only reply to the several sounds set in the app, and cannot be used as a walkie talkie. It would be even better if it could be used for voice intercom.

There is a limit of 16 seconds for replies. If it exceeds 16 seconds, you can only expect to knock on the door again. In the 16 second countdown, you can also click the take picture button to take another picture.

At first, it was a pity that the camera could not take full HD photos. After use, it was found that the 480P just met the use requirements, because the full HD photo file was larger. As a doorbell, it needed to transmit photos to the mobile phone at the fastest speed. The 480P could ensure faster transmission speed and good picture quality.

What needs to be improved is the night vision ability and the ability to use the doorbell to take pictures of the door at any time and anywhere. The Xiaodong doorbell is a more qualified product
