On MWC, LG released its first machine equipped with Snapdragon 820, the G5. Just when we all thought that this flagship model had the same configuration in the world: Snapdragon 820+4GB LPDDR4 RAM+32GB ROM, Cristi á n Correa, LG Chile's sales manager, said that the G5 would be launched in Latin America with Snapdragon 652+3GB RAM.

Compared with the Kryo core of the Snapdragon 820, the A72+A53 of the 652 can only run to 1.8GHz, and the supported memory is reduced from LPDDR4 to LPDDR3. This configuration is more like a mid tier model than a flagship. In addition, the 360 VR glasses mentioned in the G5 promotion can't be used regrettably. As for whether to support other accessories, there is no exact information yet.

LG explained that through research, the use of this configuration in some regions will be more in line with the requirements of consumers, and the estimated price will also be correspondingly lower, and more people will be able to afford it. For domestic engine oil, the Latin American version of the G5 needs to be highlighted when you buy it, unless you originally go for the Snapdragon 652. (laughing)
