However, in order to expand its influence, Huawei should also enter the low-end market. As Huawei's magic weapon in the second half of this year, let's take a look at the performance of Huawei's free 5S.

This Huawei 5S is available in two colors: gold and silver. I tried silver.

The front is white, which is divided into three parts: the top is a 500W front camera, earpiece, light and distance sensor, which adopts a symmetrical design, and the black camera and sensor are very prominent on the white body. The middle part is an IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 * 720 and a pixel density of 294ppi. The overall effect of the screen is very good when the screen is black, but when the screen is bright, the black edge is somewhat obvious because of the white border. There is no entity key at the bottom, only Huawei's classic logo, simple and generous.

Looking at the back, it is also a three-stage design: the top and bottom are polycarbonate, and the middle is a metal integrated design. Since the upper, lower and middle parts are painted with the same color, it makes little difference. Of course, there are differences after careful observation. After all, the materials are different. However, this is also the choice of most metal mobile phones. In order to better signal, we have to make such sacrifice. The connection was also good, there was no uncomfortable feeling.

On the top of the back are 1300W rear camera, LED flash light and noise reducing microphone. The camera is placed on the upper left corner. Personally, I think this design is to make the body thinner and avoid metal body openings. There is a screen in the middle to occupy space, so the camera module is placed on the top without a screen. The front camera module is placed on the right, and the rear camera module is placed on the left.

The pressing fingerprint identification module is placed on the upper part of the metal body, and the metal chamfer design is used around the fingerprint identification to make the fingers fit better and feel better. However, the position of fingerprint identification is a bit high, and it is hard to reach the small hand with one hand. This design is a bit unimaginable.

However, I don't know whether the mobile phone I tried is defective or faulty. There is a gap between the fingerprint identification module and the shell. I hope the manufacturer will pay attention to this problem in the future production process.

The metal fuselage frame also adopts chamfer design, which improves the grip feel and makes a smooth transition.

At the bottom of the back is Huawei's classic logo and speakers. When the phone is placed horizontally, the speaker sound will be covered, which will affect the experience. I have to complain about this.

The card slot is placed on the left side of the phone body. This phone can have dual cards and dual standby. The upper card slot supports Micro SIM cards, and the lower card slot supports Nano SIM cards or MisroSD cards (only one of the two can be selected). The gap between the card slots is very small, and there is no looseness.

On the right side of the fuselage are the volume key and the power off key, both of which are striped. They feel good to the touch, and the key feedback strength is moderate.

The top is a 3.5mm earphone hole. In the package, China does not provide original earphones, but it should be able to adapt to the earphones on the market. I can use Meizu EP-21 to answer calls, listen to songs and other remote control operations without problems. The bottom is the charging interface and microphone. Unfortunately, this phone does not use the currently popular Type-C interface.

There are too many aspects of a system to do, many of which I have not yet used. I will talk about some of the highlights and shortcomings I found during the use of this system.

Because the mobile phone I used before is Meizu, I am familiar with Meizu Flyme. At first glance, I fell in love with Huawei's power on interface, because the Flyme power on background is pure white, and the brightness is also the largest. Sometimes the blinking effect when the phone is restarted or the system is updated at night makes me crazy. The EMUI is black, and the light is much softer when the phone is powered on.

When I turned on my mobile phone and connected to WiFi, I was prompted to upgrade the system, and I clicked it. However, I found that there was no update log, and the user did not know what functions and bugs had been updated.

I am very happy with the application icon of the EMUI. I prefer the round in the square of the EMUI to the square icon of Flyme.

There are not many pre installed software for mobile phone systems, and many of them can be uninstalled.

Long press the blank space to set the desktop. The interface effect is good, which suits my taste.

Because there is no physical key, the system uses three virtual keys below, which can be hidden. Return to the left, return to the main menu in the middle, and open the recently opened application on the right. You can end the application by sliding the application icon up, but I can't figure out that when there are only two applications running, the application icon is displayed in the top row. If you want to slide the end icon up with one hand, you need to move the handle up. This design is too inconvenient. These three virtual keys let me go back to Meizu's smart bar. I really didn't like this. I searched the whole setting to find a way to replace these three virtual keys. I found this hover button in the intelligent assistant:

With this hover button, functions such as return, home screen, recent tasks, lock screen, and one key optimization can be achieved. However, these operations can only be achieved by clicking the hover button first, and then clicking the icon above. Compared with the operation of Flyme's hover ball through clicking and sliding, it is somewhat cumbersome. Some functions in the intelligent assistant are very practical. Phantom control: you can quickly open the corresponding application by drawing letters when the screen is off. Gesture control: Turn the phone to mute the incoming call. There is also a breath light. There is an unprocessed message. A green light flashes next to the front camera.

This mobile phone supports all Netcom. The network of two cards can be switched to 4G network at will, and only one card is opened. The notification bar on the top also only shows the signal bar of one card. This processing is great.

I also found a more user-friendly function, that is, there are three options when connecting the data cable to the computer, which can let the phone only charge, accelerate USB charging, and reduce battery consumption. This detail is well done.

But I also want to complain about the design of this alarm clock, and put the confirmation in the upper left corner. If it is placed below, it is not easy to operate?

There is also a very good function to use the built-in video player, that is, playing on a small screen, you can brush the microblog while watching the movie, or you can drag it at will.

The system's built-in lock screen wallpaper is very nice, simple and personalized.

During more than a week of use, the smoothness of the whole system is very good, silky lubrication, and there is no jam.

[Performance Test]

The first is the mobile phone parameters, which cannot be the only standard of performance, but can also explain many problems.

After uninstalling unnecessary software, the phone displays a user capacity of 11.18G, and 10.34G is available, which is good.

Then I downloaded Anthare for scoring. The result was 41982 points, ranking 15th. The matching MT6753T 8-core chip was very good.

However, the mobile phone screen is an IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 * 720 and a pixel density of 294ppi. Now 1080p screens are popular in thousand yuan phones, and the pixel density is getting higher and higher. The Changxiang 5S is not sincere enough on the screen, but because of the cell phone battery capacity, only 720p can be selected to reduce power consumption. It seems acceptable as long as the resolution is not paid attention to during use.

In order to test the transmission efficiency of the data line used by the mobile phone, I sent a movie "The Return of the Great Sage" to the mobile phone. The entire video size is 1.82G, the transmission time is 3:54 seconds, and the speed is average (the computer is USB2.0 interface).

The endurance is also one of the most concerned issues. I conducted four tests.

1. Local broadcast: 1080p Return of the Great Sage

From 3:55 to 4:25, the power consumption dropped from 51% to 47%, and only 4% of the power was consumed. The result is very satisfactory. The playback is smooth, and the progress bar is dragged randomly without getting stuck, so you can hardly feel the heat.

2. Live broadcast online: Panda TV live broadcast

From 5:06 to 5:40, the power consumption dropped from 41% to 31%, consuming 10% of the power. Because online video WiFi increased the power consumption, the power consumption naturally accelerated, but the power consumption was more than twice that of local broadcast, which was still a bit scary.

3. Play the game: downloaded 1.52G FIFA 14

From 3:05 to 3:38, the power consumption dropped from 62% to 53%, and 9% of the power consumption was acceptable. After all, the game is very big. The heat is well controlled during playing, and I can hardly feel any heat. However, because the main body has only 2G of memory, sometimes it will get stuck when entering the game, but it will not get stuck after entering the game.

4. Standby test:

Turn off WiFi and data traffic. From 1:26 in the morning to 9:31 in the morning, the power dropped from 95% to 91%. The 8 hour standby time consumed 4% of the power. However, because there is only 2200mAh of battery capacity, the result is still satisfactory.

I also conducted a test on charging. At 19:58, I started to charge from 2% of the battery, and at 11:00, it took me three hours to fully charge the 2200mAh battery, which made me unimaginable. After checking the charging head, the output was 5V-1A, and the output current was a little small. When the charge is lower than 10%, a red breath lamp will remind you to charge. When charging, the breath lamp below 10% is red, 11% - 89% is orange, and more than 90% is green. You can judge the charging condition by the color of the breath lamp.

Fingerprint identification:

Five sets of fingerprints are supported, and the fingerprint entry process is also very simple. During the use, the recognition rate is very high. If you have sweat in your hand and a small amount of water, you can recognize them. The recognition speed is very fast. The screen is turned off in almost seconds, or 360 degree recognition. It is very comfortable to use.

As a powerful tool of Huawei, the metal texture makes people reluctant to put it down. All Netcom switches the network at will. 360 degree fingerprint recognition allows you to do whatever you want. The system is silky smooth. I think these are enough to attract a large number of fans. However, the battery is a bit weak, but it is still OK to use it lightly for a day. Of course, there are many areas to be improved. Huawei has a long way to go, and hopes that one day it can go out of China as a domestic Apple and enter the world.
