Routers, as home network terminals, have been involved in the field of intelligence for a long time. At present, the popular intelligent routers include Xiaomi router, polar router and Lenovo's Newifi new router. The author is also an old player in this field and has a good understanding of intelligent routing. Today, we are going to introduce the peanut shell, which is used for domain name resolution, to launch a router product focusing on remote VPC intelligent networking. It is officially named "Dandelion Router".

Unpacking and appearance

Dandelion router uses white paper packaging box, and the overall design is very simple. The front is a simple pattern, which is very interesting and seems to travel through time and space. Yes, this router is used for traversing and VPN remote intelligent networking. The product name is on the side of the box. At the bottom is the introduction of product features: "intelligent networking", "embedded peanut shell", "cloud management platform".

The upper and lower layers are designed inside the box, making perfect use of the space inside the box. The upper part is the main product, and the lower part is the power adapter, USB cable and other accessories.

Different from ordinary routers, the dandelion router shell is made of solid materials. The shell is aluminum alloy shell treated by anodized aluminum paint spraying process, and the overall feel is very good. In addition, the overall size of the router is 128mm X 88mm. However, although the materials are solid, the appearance is not amazing. Compared with 360 router and Xiaomi router, this router can make some improvements in the appearance design.

The dandelion router uses two external 5dBi high gain omnidirectional antennas. Although they are not detachable, they can rotate 180 degrees freely and are suitable for placement at various positions and angles. In addition, the 5dBi high gain omnidirectional antenna can cover a wider range of wireless wifi signals.

Like general routers, the main interface is placed between two antennas. From left to right, there are reset keys, one 100M WAN interface, three 100M LAN interfaces, and one MicroUSB power input interface. The WAN port and LAN port are in different colors, so that even non professionals can clearly understand how to set them. What is worth praising is that this router uses a small USB interface, 5V 1A power input, and can be used by any mobile power supply.

back-stage management

Open the browser and enter "oraybox. com" to enter the router background. For the first login, you need to enter the SN code and mobile phone verification code on the back of the router to register.

After some verification, you can enter the background for operation. The whole background is divided into three modules: "Home", "Device Management" and "Application Center". The level is relatively clear, which is convenient for user management. "Home" mainly displays some information of the user router, such as public network IP, LAN IP, memory, hard disk occupancy and other information.

In the "Management Device" module, we can further detail the device of the router, similar to the "Advanced Management" module in ordinary routers. In this interface, we can set "DMZ" “UPNP”、 Change the LAN IP address and other operations. What's worth praising is that, compared with the general routing multi-level menu settings, this interface uses the first level menu settings, which avoids a lot of trouble for users.

In the "Application Center" module, two special services, "peanut shell dynamic domain name resolution" and "sunflower remote boot", were officially provided. However, at present, the "sunflower remote boot" service is not open to users. The so-called "peanut shell dynamic domain name resolution" is simply that the peanut shell server will obtain the current dynamic IP of your computer, and then keep binding the current IP of your computer with the peanut shell domain name, so that others can access your peanut shell domain name, regardless of the constantly changing public network IP of your computer.

Enter the router background, find the "Intelligent Networking" under the "Device Management" module, click to enter, and the system will guide us to register a "peanut shell" account first.

Next, add a route to the registered peanut shell account. After adding, be sure to drag it into "Selected Network Members" to complete networking.

After networking, you can ping the IP address of the other party to verify whether it is successful. The specific method is: open the computer "Run" → Input "cmd" → Input "Ping the other party's IP address".

If ping is enabled, networking is successful. On the premise of successful networking, we can enter the other party's route to view the other party's route information, and even help the other party set up routes. After the networking is successful, the members of the LAN can transfer files and share information with each other.
