Thank you very much for the trial of Lei Feng.com and Beijing Bird View Technology Co., Ltd. In fact, this is the first helmet of BirdLook. Previously, BirdLook launched the "LeEco Super Helmet" with LeEco, so it is the first product, but it is also very good.

In the past year, VR has been very popular. Many companies have launched VR products, and the price is one of my concerns, ranging from tens of dollars to thousands of yuan. This time, the price of Bird View was 399 yuan when it was launched, which is very user-friendly. It is currently crowdfunding in JD, and interested friends can go to see it.

Unpacking

The whole box is black, and the logo of Bird Technology Co., Ltd. is printed on the front. On the reverse side are some information about products, manufacturers and other information.

Open the main body of the box in front of you. There is a small box next to it, which contains parts and warranty cards. In order to protect the main body, the box is made of sponge from top to bottom, which can prevent it from being damaged during express transportation.

Talk about the product

Pico 1 is an entry-level virtual reality helmet targeted by Birdlife. The size is 186mmx103mmx102mm, and the seed size is 288g. The following six pictures take you to know this product.

The white area is reserved for the rear camera of the mobile phone, and the blue area is to prevent the mobile phone from shaking inside. It can be freely adjusted according to the width of the mobile phone. The 5-6-inch mobile phone can be used for Android phones.

Red is our lens, which is a professional COP optical lens with a diameter of 40mm. The green one is distance sensing. After taking off the helmet during watching, it can automatically pause through it.

The left side is very simple. One logo and one mobile phone compartment are of pull out design.

The most important right side. There is a 1.7 inch touchpad integrated on the right side (yellow box). Because it is not equipped with a Bluetooth handle, the design of touch gesture is a major feature of the touchpad. Green volume adjustment button. Black is the return/menu key.

This is the top. There is a (red) myopia adjustment gear, which supports 0-800 degree adjustment. Purple is the red and blue indicator light. Green is the power key and Bluetooth multi-function key. When watching the video, short press to answer the phone, long press to hang up the phone for two seconds, and it can also open the rear camera to realize the connection between virtual and reality.

At the lower part, the red one is the 3.5mm headphone hole. Because Bluetooth will use the helmet as the audio output after connecting it to the helmet (as shown in the figure below), you can also turn it off, but I think it will be more realistic to wear headphones. White is the charging hole. One microphone is not marked on the left side of the red circle.

The beginning of the manual is an important tip. If you do not meet the following conditions, you will not be able to experience this product better.

(1) Myopia is less than 800 degrees

(2) The difference of binocular myopia is less than 200 degrees

(3) The degree of astigmatism is less than 200 degrees

(4) Pupil spacing is within the range of 54mm to 71mm

There are also two suggestions. If you have slight dizziness or dizziness after watching for a long time, you are recommended to take a rest after 30 minutes of use. Children under 12 years of age are not recommended to use this product.

The following are the requirements for hardware. The mobile phone must be Android, which does not support Apple at present. The resolution of Android mobile phone should be above 1080P, so high resolution can have a better experience.

Use

In terms of use, we have to start with the software. The software used with the helmet is PicoVR. Although there is a QR code scanning in the manual, it is WeChat that is scanned and downloaded. Then I scanned in WeChat and got the results. But to download the app, I can't directly search on the UC, and then I finished the download. It's really tortuous.

Compared with film and television resources, there are fewer game resources.

Installation experience.

Does it feel like there is something missing from the headwear? It is just that there is a piece of tape missing. Sending it here does not hinder the experience. The mobile phone also has the function of gyroscope. After wearing the helmet, there is a cross cursor. When the head moves, it will move. You can select where the cursor points. My friend told me when I was using it that when I controlled the cursor movement, the mobile phone compartment and the mobile phone fell down together, and he said he must write it down.

As an entry-level helmet, Pico 1 performs very well. If you have 3D vertigo, don't use it. I think someone will ask if using it will hurt your eyesight. I think it will. After all, you don't look at 3D, and you won't take your mobile phone so close. Talking about what can be improved. The mobile phone compartment is one. It can be locked to prevent the mobile phone from falling. It is hoped that the QR code on the manual can be scanned and downloaded directly. As for the resources in the software, the film and television resources can be further improved in quality, and the game resources can also be more abundant.
