In 2014, Jolla started crowdfunding on Indiegogo website, and finally received 21637 supports, with crowdfunding funds exceeding 2.5 million dollars. However, there is a bad news for users who have participated in crowdfunding, because Jolla has announced that not all users who have participated in crowdfunding will receive Jolla tablets.
As early as last November, Jolla announced the failure of the first round of financing, which led the Finnish company to lay off most of its employees and apply for debt restructuring for its survival. However, Jolla later obtained much-needed funds and improved the company's financial situation. Before that, Mark Dillon, the co-founder of Jolla, had left the company because of financial difficulties.
But today Hani Lasilla, the head of Jolla's public relations, announced that the Jolla tablet project on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo had failed, which disappointed some supporters. Hani Lasilla said: "Although the project failed, Jollla will ship additional small quantities of Jolla tablets to early supporters of the project at the beginning of 2016, and the company will send invitations in January." In other words, all supporters of Jolla tablet project cannot obtain Jolla tablets.
