According to foreign media reports, Canonical is expected to launch the Ubuntu tablet at the 2016 World Mobile Conference MWC held in Barcelona, Spain, on February 22. According to the warm-up announcement already released, Canonical will cooperate with the Spanish mobile phone manufacturer BQ to launch the first tablet device loaded with Ubuntu Touch at this MWC conference, BQ has previously launched two mobile phones of Aquaris E4.5/E5 Ubuntu.


Canonical was planning to add X11 application deployment support to the Ubuntu Tcouh system, allowing users to run all graphics software in the Ubuntu library, such as GIMP and Firefox. Now, Ubuntu Touch has optimized the tablet operating system.


If the news is true, this BQ Ubuntu tablet may be the Aquaris X10 recently launched, which is equipped with a 64 bit MediaTek 8163 quad core processor, a 1080P 10 inch screen, 2GB memory and 7280mAh battery capacity.
