Recently, a Taiwan Apple information website shared a spy photo of the backlight component of the suspected iPhone 7, and the website speculated that the component might be the backlight component of Apple's next generation 4-inch iPhone.
Let's first take a look at the backlight component of the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. The 3D Touch chip is located in the middle of the left side, and the LCD panel cable is also located on the left side of the backlight component.
From the photo, the backlight components of iPhone 7 are similar to those of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, but the 3D touch chip and LCD flexible cable have been rearranged. The 3D Touch chip is closer to the left edge, while the ribbon cable is moved from the left to the right.
However, it was rumored that "iPhone 6C" would not have 3D Touch. In addition, the size of the backlight component also indicates that it is applicable to products with screens larger than 4 inches. Therefore, the backlight component is more likely to be used for iPhone 7.
