According to the Japanese Economic News, Apple may reduce the output of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus by about 30% in the first quarter on the basis of the original plan. The Nikkei did not specify the source of the report.
Apple previously told parts manufacturers that it would maintain its production in this quarter at the level of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the same period last year. Production is expected to return to normal in the second quarter.
The Nikkei News said that the companies whose delivery volume may decline include Japan Display, Sharp and LG Display, Sony TDK、 Alpine Electric and Kyocera.
Apple fell 2.8% for the day.
