According to a report in Taiwan today, the trial production date of the second generation Apple smart watch may be earlier than expected, and will start at the end of this month at the earliest. It will be manufactured by Quanta, which is also the OEM of the first generation Apple smart watch last summer.

Although today's report shows that Quanta is eager to continue to contract the second generation of Apple smart watches, a report in November last year suggested that Apple's profits from the first generation of Apple smart watches were lower than expected. Therefore, Apple may look for new manufacturers, but will continue to let Quanta produce most of the second-generation Apple smart watches. The new OEM candidates include Foxconn, Wistron, and Inventec.
