Speaking of O2 Cloud Audio, I have known it for a long time. In May, I had the honor to participate in the WeChat online conference. Later, I followed the crowdfunding activities in August, as well as XiaoO's WeChat and the official account of O2 House, but today I really started playing. Under the experience, I felt little by little what the O2 team said at the press conference, "make a sound with personality and texture to make life better".

It has always been believed that although the product packaging is solely responsible for the one-time mission, the product attitude can be seen intuitively. What kind of good products do you expect to make if your "clothes" are not well designed and worn? Although biased, practice has proved that it is reasonable. The packaging box of O2 Cloud Audio is simple in design. It can be said that the orange circle on the white main tone is the finishing touch. ▽

When the product package is opened, the red O is ready to come out wearing a "veil", carefully marked with simple operation methods to help you get started quickly, and the accessories are also fixed in a special paper box. Of course, accessories such as power adapter, quick guide and warranty card are necessary, but to my surprise, there is a small brush similar to a makeup brush in the accessories, which is not listed in the list of instructions, and should be used to clean the dust on the body of Xiao O. Small details, small equipment, different feelings. ▽

"I was afraid that the flowers would go to sleep late at night, so I burned high candles to illuminate my red makeup". Xiao O adopts the shape of goose soft stone as a whole, with a diameter of 25cm and a weight of 1.7kg. Whether it is placed at home or carried outside, I feel the size is just right. The main part of Xiao O is covered with a layer of fine red yarn fabric, which feels good. Although there is a "makeup brush" that can be used for daily cleaning, what should I do if it is dirty? It seems that it is difficult to replace. The silver base and red main body of Xiao O are completely different, and the visual contrast is stronger than other color series of Xiao O. In the haze and cold winter of the outdoor photography, it is only with this touch of red that you can be alive. ▽

Small O's switch button and power interface are designed at the bottom side of the silver base. When small O is placed, it is in a forward position, so these two buttons and interfaces will not be blocked when they are used. The side close to the outer ring is designed with an embedded handle, which is convenient to carry when going out. As can be seen from the picture, the black silicone anti-skid base on the top of the bottom, the buttons and interfaces in the middle, and the handle below form a child's head pattern, and we can see that the design is careful. ▽

In addition to plug-in use, XiaoO also has a built-in 32.6Wh battery, which can play for 8 hours according to the official introduction. In the actual experience, the tail does not play on its own battery for a long time, but it is plugged in intermittently and not plugged in, so it can not be verified for the eight hours, but it can be sure that the normal use of supporting an outing is OK. At the same time, in daily use, it is found that the temperature of the power adapter is slightly high when Xiao O is plugged in for standby. Under the ambient temperature of 24 degrees, Xiao O stands by for one day, and the maximum temperature on the side of the power adapter is 40 degrees. Is it related to the input voltage of 18V? It is suggested to find and optimize the problem later. At the same time, when using the built-in battery, it is found that the power displayed in the "About this device" in the small O setting is not consistent with the power displayed on the main screen, and it is hoped that subsequent optimization will be carried out. ▽

In terms of interaction, XiaoO provides four solutions: touch screen, motion sensing, voice and APP. First, let's look at the touch screen. What attracts me most about XiaoO is the round screen. With its round body, it feels good to play music with a spectrum screensaver or analog record, which is also different from many smart speakers on the market. Although the touch display screen of this LCD is small, it can be clearly felt that the touch control is still accurate and smooth from the time when WIFI is connected and the password is entered. Under indoor conditions, the display effect of the screen is good, and the visibility of the screen outdoors is acceptable. ▽

The small O touch screen can switch different interfaces such as playing, scene, setting and music switching by sliding up and down or left and right. In terms of music selection, it provides today's recommended song list, intelligent recommendation based on listening to music hobbies, my collection, and scene music menu for different periods, such as midnight snack, sleep, flirting and other scene music at night, which is also carefully and thoughtfully designed. At the same time, after the music service is configured on the APP, the music menu provided by the developer will be added to the screen. In standby mode, the current weather condition is displayed. ▽

There is no physical button on the front of Xiao O, thanks to motion sensing, which makes the lines perfectly smooth. Small O has designed four sensing areas on the front, respectively on the upper and lower parts and both sides of the display screen. In operation, press and hold the upper sensing area with your palm for one second, you can play or pause, and take two quick shots to collect music. Similarly, press and hold the left sensing area with your palm to reduce the volume, and press and hold the right sensing area to increase the volume. Touch the lower sensing area with your palm to activate the voice interaction function, which is described below. In addition, after the gesture song changing function is enabled in the settings, as long as the vertical distance between the palm and the sensing area is within 5cm, and the two sensing areas are completely slid from left to right or from right to left, the song can be cut. It should be noted that Xiao O has an error proofing mechanism, and only when it is placed horizontally can it conduct touch operation. ▽

In fact, I don't like using voice function on my device very much. Perhaps for the need of subsequent function expansion, perhaps also to increase the technical content, or perhaps for the layout of smart home entrance, Xiao O has designed a voice sensing area at the lower part of the display screen. Activate by tapping or using the voice password "Hello, Little O". In terms of function, voice commands such as "play pause, continue playing, I want to listen to Brother High, the next song, and today's weather" can be used, but complex functions such as "wake me up at seven tomorrow, and help me check the flight" can not be realized. In fact, as far as the current feeling is concerned, voice control is still integrated, and the close range recognition rate is OK, but as long as it is only two meters away, it needs to shout loudly, and the realization function is too simple, so we look forward to future optimization in all aspects. ▽

XiaoO's APP is simple and intuitive, and the scene radio is updated synchronously with XiaoO. XiaoO's alarm clock settings, scheduled stop, manual song cutting, automatic brightness and other settings can also be set on the APP port. The biggest role of APP is to configure music services, which is like opening another window. Through the cloud concept, you can enjoy a large number of audio resources, making listening unlimited freedom. However, it should be noted that the APP can only be used in the same WIFI environment as O2 and mobile phones, and cannot be used alone. ▽

It is reported that the speaker unit of Xiao O is equipped with three internal magnetic Nd-Fe-B full frequency speakers, low frequency phase inversion tube design, HiFi level independent decoding chip. From the sense of hearing, the treble and midrange are still relatively clear and full, and the bass is limited to a slightly lower volume, which is not enough, and the effect is enough for daily use. The performance in this type of speaker is balanced and good, and we look forward to opening the EQ function in the future. ▽

As an aside, I pay close attention to the small O team and its use during this period. Apart from the product itself, I can feel the continuous efforts of the small O team in many places and their attitude towards making products. What I feel most is the efficiency of its after-sales, service and communication. In the QQ group and WeChat group of O2 Cloud Audio, there will be official personnel to communicate with users, inquire about their experience, record suggestions, find common choices of users through demand ranking and other forms, and then update XiaoO's system according to the opinions and suggestions regularly to make it more close to user needs. Now it seems that these have become a virtuous circle. ▽

In a word, the experience of O2 Cloud Audio during this period, although some suggestions were put forward in the use, was more about the design, technology and freedom that the team believed in, and more about the refinement and effort of the product. Little O, hear a good voice in a second.
