Dajiang Innovation is a benchmark enterprise focusing on UAV field. In other words, when it comes to DJI Dajiang, the first thing that comes to mind is the UAV flying in the sky. In October this year, the OSMO handheld camera was released. The OSMO is mainly used by the Zenith X3 camera mounted on the Inspire 1 (Wu) UAV, plus a multi-functional control handle and the mobile phone client DJI GO APP to achieve a variety of play methods.

As a senior photography enthusiast, it has become a habit to take a camera outside. With the emergence of some excellent sports cameras and portable video recording equipment, the editor is not limited to recording life with static photos. When I look through old photos in my spare time, I can find only a few black-and-white photos of my childhood. Sometimes I often think how happy it would be if I could see several videos of my childhood now. (Of course, because of the limited family conditions at that time, it was a luxury to take several black and white photos.). In order not to leave such a regret for Niuer, I now insist on recording her growth with video every month.

When it comes to video shooting, we may have encountered the same situation as the small editor. When we hold a camera or a mobile phone to shoot a video, if we want to take a jog or ride, the video shot is dizzy. How can we shoot a video that is as stable as a TV movie? The shooting of film and television videos can only be completed by using some professional stabilizing guides and stabilizing camera heads. With the emergence of consumer level handheld PTZ, it has brought good news for us to shoot in our daily life. People friendly price and portability can also give us ordinary people a big director addiction.

With regard to the three-axis stabilized PTZ, three motors control the X/Y/Z axes to achieve the ideal balance and play a stable role in video shooting. Different from what we often say about optical anti shake, optical anti shake is mainly used in photography, and three-axis stabilization is mainly used in photography. Three motors are used to control the camera's movement on the X/Y/Z three-axis and output the corresponding reaction force to offset part of our shake in the process of moving photography, so as to achieve the goal of making the shooting picture more stable. Well, let's not say too much. Let's unveil the mystery of OSMO.

OSMO also adheres to the principle of "fly when you reach the hand" of the Dajiang UAV. In addition to the handheld PTZ camera, there are also mobile universal brackets, rechargeable batteries and chargers, charging power cables, shoulder bags, shoulder straps, UV filters (already installed on the X3 lens), lens protection covers, a 16GB TF memory card, disc teeth protection cover, instructions and other documents in the standard configuration. It can be described as "play when you get it"!

OSMO is equipped with a special portable storage shoulder bag, which looks like the mini version of the violin storage box. The surface is treated with waterproof treatment, and the quality and workmanship of the whole bag are very good. There is no pungent odor, which indicates that the materials are more conscientious. The inside uses the card position and the magic belt to fix the PTZ and camera. It is also equipped with a shoulder belt, which is very convenient for traveling.

Hold the handle with your right hand, and several function keys just fall within the controllable range of your thumb. Different from other independent stabilizing PTZ, there is a universal rocker on the OSMO handle to control the shooting angle of the lens. The damping and force feedback of the rocker are also quite in place. In the past, in other handheld pan tilt photography, there was a slight deviation of the lens and it was embarrassing to use the other hand to straighten the lens. OSMO can solve this problem as long as the thumb of the right hand moves slightly.

In front of the handle is the pickup hole for the built-in MIC and the 3.5mm connection hole for the external MIC, as well as a mode switch button. They all fall within the controllable range of the index finger. Double click the mode switch button to return the lens, and the triple click mode switch button to rotate the lens 180 degrees to switch to the self timer mode; If you press and hold the mode switch key, it is the lens direction locking mode.

Zenith X3 lens, effective image number of 12.4 million, CMOS sensor (size: 6.17x4.55mm), optical parameter of lens 20mm (35mm format equivalent), f/2.8, infinite focus, 94 degree viewing angle. It can shoot 4K (4096x2160) ultra HD video at 25 frames per second and 1080p full HD video at 120 frames per second.

Turn the adapter ring at the connection between the handle and the PTZ to the unlocking mark, and you can separate the Zen X3 from the handle. If you have higher requirements for shooting, you can replace the X3 with the Zen X5/X5R of Dajiang Of course, the price is not cheap, and the local tyrants are free.

Besides, the standard all aluminum alloy mobile phone bracket is one of the best brackets that Xiaobian has ever used, both in terms of materials and workmanship. Some people say that it is a Rolls Royce in the bracket. I don't think it is too much.

After playing with OSMO in recent days, the overall performance is good. I can shoot stable pictures anytime, anywhere. Xiaobian has also used several other stabilizers. In the process of use, the PTZ will always go crazy for several times, swinging left and right, and shifting... At this time, you need to recalibrate the PTZ. The OSMO has not been calibrated from the time of receiving the OSMO to the time of publishing, and the system performance is very stable. Of course, as the first hand-held stable camera in Dajiang, there are still some bugs. For example, the pickup effect of the built-in microphone is not ideal. If you want to get a better pickup effect, you must prepare an external microphone. There are still bugs in the shooting of 4k video. As of press release, the official has not optimized the release of new firmware. So I can't show you the effect of 4k video here. It's a pity. I hope the official can optimize and improve it as soon as possible. The battery life is a pain point. The standard 980 mA battery has a continuous working time of about an hour (less than an hour in the actual measurement). In such a normal shooting, you should prepare at least three to four batteries, so you have to replace the batteries frequently in the external shooting. You can only use the standard seat charge. The image quality of the shot by the lens is also satisfactory. x3 and gopro use the same super focus principle, that is, we often say pan focus. When shooting, it can ensure that the scene within a certain range will be clearer without focusing, but when shooting closer objects, the performance will be more general. If you want to take pictures like Meimeida in the official promotional materials, you also need to master some post processing techniques. Finally, the price, starting from 3999, is not friendly to ordinary consumers. But now everyone has several or one sports camera or mobile phone with good video recording effect. I think that Dajiang can consider a general-purpose sports camera or mobile phone stabilized handheld PTZ with high cost performance. With Dajiang's reputation and excellent quality, the market reaction must be very good.
