Of course, in addition to the beautiful appearance, the above functions are just official propaganda. We still need to conduct actual tests to know what the functions are. In the last article, I mainly introduced the appearance of Wei Xiaobao K2, but the functions are just passing by, This time, let's share my actual test experience with you about the functions of this watch.

Appearance

For the appearance design of Wei Xiaobao K2, I personally feel it is good, and it is easy for children to love it. At least my baby likes it when he sees it. You can refer to my last post for the introduction of appearance. Here is just a reminder of a small discovery in the use process. Four cartoon ornaments of Wei Xiaobao are presented in the box, which can facilitate our manual DIY. This design is very distinctive.

But when we insert the fifth pinhole on the watch strap, the DIY jewelry on one side of the watch strap will be affected, and the wrist strap cannot be placed flat. Because my baby just uses the fourth or fifth pinhole, we found this problem. Of course, this is not really a problem, it's just a small discovery in my experience. 『 Two way call 』

It is the most important phone watch for children. Of course, talking is one of the most important functions. The way for Wei Xiaobao to make a call in K2 is very simple. Just click the "Confirm" button below the watch to quickly enter the dialing interface. By touching the left and right edges of the watch screen, you can switch the number, and only the family member number we preset on the "Wei Xiaobao" mobile phone APP will be displayed to avoid the baby dialing by mistake.

After the actual test, the watch can make a call, or the call is relatively clear. Similarly, if you dial the phone number in the watch with your mobile phone, you can also answer it normally. Click the "Confirm" button to answer it. Short press the "SOS" button on the right side of the watch to hang up. For the call function, Wei Xiaobao K2 can be used normally, and the definition is also good. By default, the ringtone of the watch is the largest. However, in noisy environments, there is still the possibility of missing connections. If the vibration function can be added, it should be more convenient. Of course, the battery power consumption will also increase.

『 4+1 intelligent positioning 』

Wei Xiaobao K2 has upgraded the positioning function. It uses four positioning modes, namely GPS positioning, WIFI positioning, LBS positioning and Bluetooth positioning. Its accuracy is higher than that of most products on the market. After opening the "Weixiaobao" APP on the mobile phone, the system will automatically locate the current position of the watch. The 2D map and satellite map can be switched through the icon on the top right of the interface. Click the envelope icon on the top left corner of the interface to enter the "Message" interface, where we can see the detailed positioning information about the watch.

Here, we have conducted a down positioning test on Wei Xiaobao K2 and two professional mapping software in the mobile phone. The mobile phone mapping software and "Wei Xiaobao" APP are installed on the same mobile phone, and the mobile phone and the watch are in the same location. After observing the screenshot above, it is also accurate to 100 meters. The positioning points of Wei Xiaobao K2 and the other two map software are basically the same. In terms of positioning accuracy, Wei Xiaobao K2 really does a good job.

Talking

Wei Xiaobao K2 also supports the chat function. Switch to the "chat" function on the left side of the left slide screen on the watch end, click the "Confirm" button, select the chat contact, long press the recording, and release it to automatically send it, which is very convenient. Of course, to use this function, the mobile phone card in your watch must have the flow function enabled.

The advantage of this function is that it can support multiple people to chat together. As long as we have installed the "Wei Xiaobao" mobile app on the mobile phone and logged in to the account, the operation is also very simple. Press the button below to speak, release it to send, and also support facial expression sending. The most important thing is that this "chat" function only needs your mobile phone to connect to the WiFi network. Even if there is no mobile phone card in the mobile phone, it can be used normally. In this way, even if our mobile phone is down, we can contact the baby as long as we can connect to the network. According to the test, the acceptance speed of the watch is still very fast. After the mobile phone sends it, the watch can receive it basically at the same time. However, text input is not supported at present. If this function is added again, it should be more convenient.

Change

Wei Xiaobao K2 also has a "transformation" function, which is just to change the background of the screen. After entering, we can select the background wallpaper by clicking the left and right sides of the screen. After selection, click the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen to change it. However, I feel that it is more compatible with the theme in the same color as the watch and looks more harmonious.

Of course, only 4 background wallpapers can be replaced at present. It is suggested that more wallpapers can be added in the future, or personalized customization can be carried out directly. Would it be cooler to set your baby's photo as the background.

『 Power consumption test 』

Here we refer to the power display in "Wei Xiaobao". Of course, this result is only for reference. Since we have been doing various tests on watches for more than 2 hours during this period, the above test result is only for reference. The power consumption of function test for 2 hours+standby for 8 hours is 43%. Since we forgot to make records before going to bed, Therefore, the power consumption in the two hours of heavy use is unknown.

In the morning, a simple test was conducted on the standby power consumption of Wei Xiaobao K2. The power consumption of the watch in the "Wei Xiaobao" mobile phone APP was also referred to. At 8:27 am, the remaining power of the watch was 42%. During this period, the watch screen was basically not lit. After 6 hours and 30 minutes of standby time, the power consumption was 4%. In general, even if Wei Xiaobao's K2 children's watch is frequently operated, it is OK to use it for one day. The official 3-5 day use time should be tested under light use. I haven't used it for more than 3 days anyway.

『 Charging test 』

Wei Xiaobao K2 does not provide us with a charging plug, just a USB magnetic charging wire, and does not specify the charging voltage and current of the watch. However, after testing, we can directly use the USB interface at home or the mobile phone charging plug to charge the watch.

The power of the watch is automatically turned off. Here, the USB interface of the Xiaomi USB patch board is used to charge the watch. We can see that the charging voltage is 5.04V and the charging current is about 0.46A. That is to say, there is a limit on the charging current in Wei Xiaobao K2, no matter how large the output charging plug you use, Its charging current will be limited to below 0.5A. After the test, it takes about 2 hours to fully charge the watch from the time when the watch automatically shuts down. Since there are several screen lighting operations in the middle, the charging power is slightly inaccurate, but the total power should be greater than the official 600mAh.

Summary

After some simple tests above, the overall performance of this Wei Xiaobao K2 children's phone watch is still good, and the call quality is clear. Through the 4+1 relocation function, the positioning accuracy is still very positive whether indoor or outdoor. Of course, there are still some areas that need to be improved. Disadvantages&suggestions: At present, only the mobile phone cards of China Mobile and China Unicom are supported. Telecom users are very injured. We hope to have a version of China Unicom in the future; The appearance design of the watch is very distinctive on the whole, but some details still need to be optimized, such as the comfort of keys, there is still much room for improvement; The system still needs to be optimized. For example, a text input function can be added to chat. If the story content in the "Paradise" can be converted into voice and transmitted to the watch, it will be more powerful.
