This time, I had the honor to experience a leapfrog 36DB. Their noise reduction technology solutions were previously provided to AKG, Tiesanjiao, Panasonic and other international front-line audio-visual equipment enterprises. Of course, The products I got are engineering test products, and mass production can be more perfect in terms of workmanship.

Because of engineering products, unpacking and accessories are omitted. The whole structure is also very simple, including earplug, wire control, noise reduction controller, and aux3.5mm male head.

In terms of earplugs, the main body is made of plastic, and the silicone ear hook, which is common in sports earphones, is used. It should be configured in three sizes: large, medium and small.

The ear hook has a detachable structure, and a barb is designed outside the ear plug cavity, so the ear hook is very firm and will not loosen.

The remote control is a plastic shell with aluminum alloy facing, which is distributed with volume+, telephone, volume function buttons. The buttons are made of rubber, and feel good.

The reverse side is mic, with good pickup effect.

The noise reduction controller is a plastic box about 27mm * 70mm * 10mm, with 36DB logo on it, and a micro usb charging interface is set on one side.

The noise reduction push button is set on the other side, and the noise reduction function can be turned on and off with one button.

The indicator light is hidden under the panel, which is blue when it is turned on, red when it is charged, and green when it is fully charged.

The interface adopts AUX3.5mm gold plated male head, which is applicable to all devices with AUX3.5mm output.

Sound quality test:

As an earplug that is not the main HIFI earplug, I don't want to put more pen and ink on it. I tried Faye Wong's sky, Cai Qin's ferry, Fujita Huimei's DOWN BY THE SALLEY GARDEN, Angel，My heart will go on， The overall listening sense is that the tone is relatively warm and loose, with emphasis on the middle and low tones. It performs well for drum and piano sounds, especially the low tones are deep, and it also has a good sense of space. The high tone performance is not as good as the middle and low tones. Of course, it has advantages over sports earphones or earphones with remote control at the same price in the market, especially JABRA Bluetooth earphones.

With the noise reduction function turned on, there is no sound source mode. In a low-noise environment, it is like entering a professional sound absorption room, and almost no sound can be heard.

In the process of music playing, if the noise reduction function is turned on, the middle and low frequencies will be slightly enlarged, and the sense of distance will be shortened. It seems that all noise reduction earphones will more or less change the original listening effect.

Noise reduction test:

First of all, the low ambient noise must be filtered. Because in ear earplugs already have a strong sound insulation effect, and with noise reduction turned on, normal ambient noise is almost inaudible. The noise reduction effect of extreme noise environment is mainly tested. Because it rains continuously, it is impossible to go out for testing, so the test only creates a test environment in the factory and at home:

Next to the 160T press: the mobile phone software tests 91 decibels, the peak value is 92 decibels, and the range is 5 meters. Because the low frequency of the press is dominant, the iPhone app is not sensitive to low frequency. If a professional decibel meter is used, higher test values may be obtained, and low frequency has obvious body induction.

Wearing 36db, the active noise reduction function is not used. The sound insulation effect of earplugs is limited. Turn on the music, and the music content can not be heard clearly. Turn on the active noise reduction function, and the middle and low frequencies are filtered by more than half. The roar of punching sound is left like the sound of hammering. Turn on the music, and the impact of environmental noise on listening is greatly reduced, but the body is particularly sensitive to low frequencies.

The next evaluation environment is to play desktop audio O2 in a close range, with the volume ranging from 60db, 80db and 100db.

60db: that is, normal ambient noise. Wearing 36db, it is hard to hear the noise due to its sound insulation effect. Turn on the noise reduction function to filter all ambient noise.

80db: The ambient noise on the square, bus and high-speed railway can be heard clearly by wearing 36db, depending on its own sound insulation effect. With the noise reduction function turned on, you can still vaguely hear high-frequency sound. The middle and low tones have been filtered, and the noise can be easily covered by turning on music.

100db: In extreme environment, standing next to the stereo is very fidgety and can't stay for a long time. Wearing 36db still makes a lot of noise. Turning on the noise reduction function can filter out the medium and low frequencies of gruff sound. Music can be heard, but it can't be completely filtered, and playing music can't be completely covered.

Conclusion: Yuehuoda's 36DB is indeed a cost-effective professional noise reduction headset. In terms of noise reduction, thanks to its in ear structure, its noise reduction capability is actually higher than that of Sennheiser's flagship noise reduction headset. However, 36db does not have its own talk through like pxc450 or Aware Mode like boss qc20, which means that it can eliminate environmental noise while amplifying dialogue sound, This is also the reason why this high-quality noise reduction headset is more affordable.

Of course, the 36db sound quality itself is quite cost-effective. The sound base has a bose style, which is suitable for users who spend a long time on the way to and from work or suffer from noise problems. However, it is worth noting that because of the extremely strong noise reduction function of 36db, you should be careful to use it in the environment where there are motor vehicles, because most of the horn sound will be covered by noise reduction and music.

Finally, I hope that Yuehuoda can add more metal elements to the product appearance and materials in the future to make the product appearance more scientific and technological. Don't continue the Bose style. To be honest, the Bose qc20 feels more like a hearing aid.
