Let's put the instrument at the front cooling hole of Z2 and try it. The test result is 61.3 dba. The volume is relatively high, but I don't think anyone will lean their ears against the cooling hole.

3. Temperature measurement
Heat generation is also a key issue that users pay attention to for projection, because excessive heat generation will definitely affect the normal operation of the machine. What about the performance of Jimi Z2 in this respect? Come and have a look with me!
The starting time of the machine is about one hour. The temperature measuring gun and the machine shadow machine have been placed in the same environment for two hours, and the ambient temperature is 22 degrees. The temperature test result on the fuselage is 36.7 degrees. The temperature is really not high, and it only feels warm when you put your hand on it.


On the side of the machine, the test temperature is only 25.2 degrees, and there must be no heating elements in this place.


The temperature of the front cooling hole of the machine is slightly higher, but also very ideal, only 43 degrees. This temperature is really very low for the projector cooling hole.


After measuring the fuselage, let's take a look at the power adapter, another major heat generator. When testing the power adapter, I tested it from its four side points. The temperature at the top left point was the highest, reaching 66.8 degrees. It was very hot when I touched it with my hands. To be honest, the temperature was a little high.

5、 Actual display effect
I don't need to say the actual display effect of projection. Everyone knows that this is the most important thing. Projection is used to see. The quality of the display effect directly affects the user's choice. The physical resolution of the polar meter Z2 is 1280 * 800, which is the so-called 720P picture quality, but it also supports 1080P playback. With 1200 lumens of RGB LED light source, we can put a 150 inch large screen. I don't know what kind of display effect these data will bring us. Speaking of which, I want to say something else, which is also my personal opinion.
1、 The value of projection in entertainment is to provide users with a visual impact close to the cinema, which is simply a huge screen. Because it is impossible to compare with LCD TV in terms of display effect. Many people have seen that the display effect of XX projection is on a par with that of LCD TV, and even more than that of LCD TV. I don't want to say more about these things. Everyone knows why. So the projection size below 100 inches is of little significance to tell the truth, so the display effect pictures I show below are all real effects close to 150 inches.
2. As we all know, the smaller the projection size, the better the effect. Of course, it is not very small. The display effect of 150 inch is absolutely different from that of 100 inch and 80 inch, because the smaller the size, the higher the brightness, and the higher the quality of the displayed image. However, since it is a test projection, I will test its maximum display size to show you the excellent performance of the Z2 in its maximum size.
3. In view of different shooting environments, different shooting equipment, and different shooting techniques, the effect pictures will be different. I can only bring the 150 inch real effect to everyone as far as possible, and the actual effect is slightly better than the effect pictures.

First, let's introduce my projection environment. My projection is placed in the bedroom. The bedroom is 5 meters long and 3 meters wide. The projection is 3 meters from the west wall. The projection area is 3 meters wide and 2 meters high, which is about 150 inches. The shooting distance is also 3.5m.


For the convenience of watching movies, I specially moved a sofa from the living room to buy a better couch for lazy people in the future. It's more comfortable to watch movies lying down.


As for why to cast white wall, one reason is that the 150 inch screen is more expensive, and another reason is that I personally think that the Z2 does not need to cast a screen at all. Seeing that many friends in the group are struggling with the curtain, I would like to give you some basic knowledge about science. Of course, if there is anything wrong, you should forgive me.
At present, the popular screens on the market are mostly white plastic screens (white fiber screens, upgraded versions of white plastic screens). They are suitable for all projectors, and the actual use effect is also the best. The color is pure, but the contrast is poor. White fiber screen is more suitable for high-definition projection above 720P, and there is no obvious difference between projection quality and brightness.
In addition, the use rate of grey plastic screen (grey fiber screen) is also relatively high. This screen is suitable for projectors with real 1800 lumens or more (preferably no less than 2000 lumens), with beautiful colors and perfect contrast. The grey fiber screen is an upgraded version of grey plastic, which is more suitable for high-definition projection above 720P, and the brightness must reach a real 2500 lumens in order to play the strongest effect.
The glass bead screen is more suitable for low brightness projectors below 1500 lumens. The image quality is close to that of the white plastic within 35 degrees, and the brightness is about 20-30% bright. The brightness and contrast of the angle above 40 degrees drop linearly. In addition, the projector cannot be hoisted and can only be projected horizontally, otherwise the picture effect is obviously inferior to that of the white screen. Generally, it is not recommended for families to buy glass bead screens, nor for projectors below 500 lumens. It is not practical. The projection angle of the upgraded version of the micro bead screen is increased from 40 degrees to 80 degrees. To some extent, it can be hoisted and used. The actual effect is better than the glass bead screen, but its practicability and image quality are not high.
As for the metal screen that some people like to talk about now, in fact, it has a similar perspective problem with the glass bead screen. The angle is larger than the glass bead screen, which is about 50 degrees. The brightness, contrast, sharpness and other aspects of the screen decline straightly above 70 degrees. Within the angle, the picture quality can be comparable to the gray screen. The gain is the brightest screen.
