APP application introduction
The LifeSmart app is used together with the Smart Center, and can add a variety of device controls, not just for light bulbs. It is not easy to use, and it takes some time to get familiar with and use.
Entering the APP, you can choose to directly enter the local smart center, or register an account, and add the smart center after login, so that you can use the complete functions of LifeSmart
The main interface label of APP is the home page, the menu icon is in the upper left corner, the button editing icon is in the upper right corner, and the device operation button can be added by the+sign below. The menu page has many functions, and the classification is a bit miscellaneous, which does not make you want to enter the corresponding menu at once when you are operating
Like the pairing of devices, it is actually to add a new device, but it is placed in the advanced settings. I'm afraid it will take a while to find it for the first time. However, the pairing instructions are relatively clear. Select the corresponding smart bulb, and follow the prompts to make the bulb in the pairing state. The pairing will be successful soon. The complexity of the app application has made the experience a lot of discount, but it has not been tested well by a single intelligent bulb. After the Smart Center is powered on and connected to the network, the green status indicator on the front changes from flashing to permanently on. Turn on the capsule bulb. The ordinary white light is slightly warm. After looking for a long time in the APP, no way can be found to turn on the white light alone. Instead, the white light brightness can only be adjusted from 0 to 100 in the settings of the color control page, and the white light added with color light is still color light, No white light, natural
The capsule bulb, which is called 16 million colors, is really hard to adjust the color of the light on the APP. It is often unable to accurately locate a certain color. Although the dragging method is very unique, the user most needs to accurately and quickly adjust to the desired color, rather than to draw across the screen for a slight difference, obsessive-compulsive disorder will damage the bulb
Of course, if you think the capsule bulb is just beautiful, you are wrong. Because there is a smart center, the capsule bulb can play a variety of scenarios that ordinary smart bulbs cannot play. Here are five ways to play the capsule bulb:
Play 1: Add bulb time switch. By setting the white light brightness to be turned on at 11:00 p.m. and off at 5:00 a.m., a small night light that automatically starts and stops is set. It was originally intended to use the human body sensor to link with the bulb as a small night light, but there is no human body sensor module for LifeSmart, so we had to change the strategy and set a timing switch, Although ordinary smart bulbs can also be switched on and off regularly through the smart socket, the brightness and color settings of ordinary smart bulbs cannot be saved after power failure, unlike LifeSmart settings, which can still act according to the previous settings after restoration even after power failure
Play 2: Add one button light on function. This function is mainly aimed at smart light bulbs, which is equivalent to a shortcut. The smart light bulbs that need to be operated by one button will be added in turn. After completion, a light off mode will appear on the smart tag page, and a light on/off button will appear on the tag on the home page. The principle of color light groups is similar, except that the execution is not just the switch, but the color of the light groups can be adjusted by one button, This function is particularly suitable for commercial use
Play 3: Add a profile (custom scene). The more hardware connected to the Smart Center, the more tricks can be played in this mode. After clicking Add Profile, select the device that needs action in this profile. After naming the scene mode, you can see the newly added profile on the smart tag page. Don't just start the device once as the profile, Linkage mode will be introduced later
Play 4: Add linkage method 1. On the bulb control page, click the pen icon in the upper right corner to enter the bulb setting page, select intelligent linkage, and select the conditions to be linked, that is, under certain conditions, perform the actions of the bulb, such as opening and closing or no action. The charm of linkage lies in the setting of conditions. Since there are only two capsule bulbs on hand, briefly demonstrate the significance of the settings in the above figure, When the condition is met, bulb 1 turns off and bulb 2 turns on, the linkage is executed, that is, bulb 1 turns on. This scenario is used to turn on bulb 1 in the corridor after going home at night. At this time, bulb 2 is off, and the linkage condition is met. When bulb 1 in the corridor is turned off, when entering the room, bulb 2 in the room reaches the delay time, and automatically turns on. But this linkage has been tried many times, After bulb 1 is turned on, bulb 2 lights up without delay. I don't know whether there is a bug in the linkage setting between bulbs or whether there is a problem in the logic conditions I edited. However, it can be seen that if there are many devices, there are many ways to set the linkage conditions
Play 5: Add linkage method 2. After adding a profile, click to enter the profile, select intelligent linkage, as shown in Method 1, edit the linkage conditions, and you can achieve the purpose of executing the profile. After careful observation, you can see that the scene editing page of this method is slightly different from Method 1, that is, the selection of the implementation item is different from that of the light bulb linkage, without opening, closing, or inaction, Because this profile is aimed at all intelligent devices of LifeSmart, and the execution device and operation have been selected when adding the profile, you just need to choose to execute or not to execute. However, in the process of use, this difference will also make people feel a bit confused, perhaps too powerful, However, I hope it can be more concise and clear. After all, we are not programmers and do not have such strong logical thinking ability
In view of some problems encountered in the use, I think the following aspects can be improved appropriately:
1. APP application operation is slightly complicated, which can be properly simplified, and the corresponding classification of functions can be adjusted. For example, pairing and adding wifi devices are actually adding LifeSmart intelligent hardware devices, which can be placed in the added devices;
2. Remove the equipment purchase link from the home page tag page, or add a separate mall page to make the page more refreshing;
3. Add the message record of the action of the light bulb profile and linkage mode to judge whether the profile is normally opened;
4. In some cases, the linkage action is not executed according to the set process, and the user does not know where the problem is, so a linkage test process can be added to dynamically display the execution of the process according to the condition judgment, execution operation, and execution result steps, to help users better design the linkage mode 5. The light bulb color is switched by dragging. Although it is very special, it is not convenient to select the desired color. The traditional color inventory selection is more direct;
6. Properly add the operation prompt in the APP, and many pages come out, sometimes without knowing what to do. For example, in the device list, after selecting the smart center, a bunch of icons come out, which can actually provide several lines of instructions.
