Inventory of mobile payment technologies of handheld black technology

When it comes to mobile payment, everyone knows about Apple Pay, but what other mobile payment methods make use of various "black technologies" besides Apple Pay? You don't have to look in your wallet or change any more when you go out. You can pay by taking out your mobile phone and opening NFC or scanning the QR code. Let's see the principle of various payment methods together with Xiaobian.

Apple Pay:

The famous Apple company launched it, and its implementation principle is similar to the working principle of the chip card that China UnionPay supports "QuickPass", which is realized through NFC technology. At present, most POS machines support card swiping payment. The card can be sensed by swiping the bank card that supports "flash payment" in front of the POS machine just like swiping the bus card. Small amount "password free" payment can be realized according to the payment scenario and amount, or you can input the password after swiping the card for offline payment.

Apple Pay is to use the NFC antenna of the machine to communicate with POS after binding your credit card in the phone, thus replacing the function of credit card. When swiping the card, check the touch ID (equivalent to entering the password) and complete the payment through the NFC of the phone. Although it seems high-tech, it is not difficult to achieve as long as the manufacturer and the bank acquirer reach an agreement.

Samsung Pay:

Apple and Samsung are enemies. If you have Apple Pay, I will also take Samsung Pay. Unlike Apple's NFC method, Samsung uses MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission).

Samsung's current flagship models (S6 edge+, S6 edge, Note 5, etc.) have built-in coils that can transmit "magnetic stripe code". Mobile phones can simulate bank cards with magnetic stripes to swipe cards. That is to say, I can "disguise" my mobile phone as a bank card with a magnetic stripe, "cheat" the POS machine, and think I am a card. Unlike Apple Pay, which requires POS machines to support NFC payment, it has the advantage that it can directly use this technology without replacing the existing POS machines (but now more and more POS machines support NFC. Although they support NFC, because Visa&Master's EMC standards are incompatible with China UnionPay's PBOC 2.0 technology, it seems that Samsung Pay is more convenient to use in China if it is popularized)

China UnionPay flash payment:

China UnionPay's QuickPass can also be regarded as a quick payment method. When VISA and Master abroad support NFC payment, UnionPay has also created its own standard PBOC 2.0. The NFC payment standard used by Apply Pay in the United States is based on the EMC standard of VISA, while the domestic UnionPay flash payment uses the self-developed PBOC 2.0 technology, which is incompatible with each other. This is also the reason why the NFC chip model of the National Bank iPhone 6s is different from that of the Hong Kong version iPhone 6s, and Apple Pay is not supported in China. Of course, UnionPay has also tried to use some NFC mobile phones certified by UnionPay to bind with UnionPay flash bank, and use mobile NFC to simulate bank cards supporting QuickPass for offline payment.

WeChat payment&Alipay:

WeChat payment and Alipay scanning code payment emerged at the historic moment because it is difficult to unify the hardware standards. The article also introduced that for various reasons, we had to bypass special hardware requirements to pay. Therefore, the WeChat scanning QR code payment method was born. Like the supermarket shopping scanning barcode, the user shows the dynamic binding personal account QR code (equivalent to the "barcode" of goods), and this barcode/QR code is bound to the user's bank card account. As long as the cashier enters the deduction amount, the payment will be automatically deducted from the bank card agreement.

Speaking of the last part, in the final analysis, in the field of mobile payment, all manufacturers and settlement institutions have their own wishful thinking. They hope to use their own systems to control you, and then charge a service charge for swiping your card (even WeChat payment will also charge a certain fee), so that settlement institutions can reap profits for a long time. Of course, no matter what, it is good for consumers to provide convenient payment methods to improve our lives, and it is their business how they tear them up.
