Because most of the companies that contact smart cloud audio are domestic start-ups in the field of smart hardware, rather than old brand electroacoustic manufacturers, they tend to focus on the concept of intelligence and cloud, ignoring the sound quality itself, which is a bit of a sacrificial feeling, Perhaps the fast-food listening experience is more in line with the needs of mass users, but while smart cloud audio brings us convenience in wireless audio sources, it allows us to have more daydreams about the development of smart cloud audio, such as personalized song lists, better audio quality, and more intuitive song cutting forms.

However, O2 Smart Cloud Audio gives us a different answer to all of this. It is a pure cloud music experience, abandoning all distracting expansion functions and acting as the background of life.

The main body of O2 Smart Cloud Audio is composed of plastic parts. The whole body is an ellipse with a diameter of 25cm, and the height of the highest point is about 12cm. A round capacitive touch LCD screen with a diameter of 4.5mm is set at the lower end of the ellipse, and a chrome plated decorative ring is set around the periphery of the LCD screen.

The main body is angled about 30 degrees from the plane, which can make the perspective of the LCD screen larger. The upper part is covered with black mesh.

The bottom of the O2 smart cloud audio is equipped with a tilted rubber pad to achieve a 30 degree tilt between O2 and the desktop. The rubber pad is pasted with audio parameters, 8800 mA polymer battery, 8 ohm 15 watt bass unit, and 4 ohm 5 w 2.0 unit.

The operation mode of O2 Smart Cloud Audio is very novel. The whole machine has only one power entity button, and other operations are realized through touch screen and touch sensing. The touch sensitivity is very high. The whole touch sensing is divided into five areas.

However, the recognition success rate of the engineering version is not very high, about 60% or 70%.

In the playback state, if O2 is not operated for a long time, the touch screen interface will enter the screen saver mode, displaying the local temperature, weather and time, which is very considerate.

O2 has not completely got rid of the app. Cloud audio sources must be configured through the app. For the time being, the beta version of the app only supports four online music sources, including Douban FM, Netease Cloud Music, qq Music, and Xiami Music. More music or radio sources will be added in the future.

However, these audio sources need users to add personal accounts before binding. If they don't want to register an account, O2 has its own scene radio, which plays music of different styles for various use scenarios. The type and quality of music are very good.

Open O2 to enter the system, which is a black glue disc style playing interface. If O2 has been set before, music will be played according to the last playlist. Album pictures and music information will be displayed in the middle of the black glue disc. The outer circle of the black glue disc is an orange progress bar to realize the music timeline.

Sliding the interface to the right will switch to different network radio stations, which are configured in the app of the mobile intelligent terminal.

You can switch music by sliding the interface up and down, or you can switch songs by sliding the sensing area of O2 in your palm.

If you play music for a long time without operating O2, you will enter the screen saver mode to display the local temperature, weather and Beijing time. If you do not play music for a long time without operating O2, O2 will enter the power-saving standby mode. When there is a demand for listening, you can activate O2 through app or touch sensing.

Swipe the interface to the left to switch to the setting interface, where you can set wifi, upgrade firmware reset， By displaying the QR code and downloading the app at the smart terminal, the hardware function of O2 can be turned on and off, and the power of O2 can be turned off.

It is worth mentioning that wifi can be configured through the touch screen. Although the keyboard is small and easy to misoperate, it is very convenient to enter a simple password. Similar products need to be set passively through the mobile terminal. O2 is much more intuitive and convenient.

For the sense of listening, there is no single comment here, because O2 uses an online audio source, and does not support other local audio source input methods. It pursues a pure and simple listening experience, but the unit quality of O2 itself is not low, 8 ohm 15 watt bass unit, 4 ohm 5 w 2.0 unit, so the energy sense of O2 is much higher than that of similar products, The sound will not break under loud pressure, but the empty sound will appear in the cavity of the music plastic part under 80% loud pressure. However, the music will not be listened to at such a high volume generally, and 70% of the volume is already too high.

The general 2.0 smart audio generally uses a low-frequency unit with a slightly better bass, so the treble is dim and has no penetration. O2 has a separate bass unit to be responsible for the low-frequency part of the music, and two full frequency units are responsible for the performance of middle and high tones, so the listening sense is much higher than that of similar products, such as Faye Wong's Sky and Deng Ziqi's Like You The treble part has a certain penetration, but due to the sound source, the details are slightly missing, which is a bit regrettable. 2) The playing mode is still relatively simple now, but the official feedback will add functions such as single cycle, sequence cycle, song library search, etc. in the future.

3) The power display is not intuitive enough and needs to be queried in the setting interface. Although the theoretical 8-hour endurance is not available when the power supply is not connected, it is impossible to know how long it can last. It is recommended to add an intuitive power display.

4) Add FM frequency modulation. Since it is positioned as a simple style of life background music, how can FM be omitted.

5) Add more cloud music sources.

6) Adjust the music timeline by rotating the black glue disc on the main interface.

However, the flaws do not hide the merits. The listening experience of O2 can really experience her original design intention. You can continue the last song list by tapping the power supply. You can enjoy music that meets your own taste and mood without deliberately looking for the sound source. It is as natural as air. I believe that with the current performance of O2, it is no doubt to promote the products of the same class horizontally, and look forward to a better performance of O2 in the future.
