IWatch Concept Design Collection
Igao7 - Brief 2014-02-22 18:29

Since the appearance of various smart watches 2013CES After the exhibition, various news about Apple's iWatch also emerged one after another. After CES 2012, some experts asserted that wearable smart products would be a trend, which was indeed confirmed on CES 2013. Although we can't say for sure that Apple will release iWatch Smart watches, but no one can deny that the industry is concerned about its popularity. Just yesterday, another media broke that Apple's patent for iWatch, a flexible touch screen, surfaced. It seems that Apple's announcement of iWatch is more and more reliable.

This patent was submitted in August 2011 and is entitled "Bi directional stabilization technology of flexible touch screen". This patent describes how to use flexible touch screen materials to build a wristwatch. When activated, Apple patents mention that iWatch will be able to communicate with mobile devices via Bluetooth or WiFi, such as iPhone The iWatch can display instant messages on the flexible touch screen, such as missed calls, messages, iPod playlists and controls. Apple said it could equip the wearable device with a gyroscope, a speed sensor, etc. Other components include built-in light sensing devices, solar panels, etc.

Before that, everyone had been speculating about this iWatch, and various concept maps were presented to everyone by the media. Today, I made a summary of the previous concept map. There are roughly the following types:

1. IWatch with round dial and spiral interface

This is the work of designer Nickolay Lamm, who said that the appearance design of this iWatch rendering was affected by the GeneveHorizon watch of Ikepod. The iWatch in the rendering uses a more traditional round dial, and its interface uses a spiral design. This interface design was patented by Apple in 2010, but has not been used in products.

2. IWatch with FaceTime and Retina displays

Designed by Anders Kjellberg, a Swedish designer, this concept rendering is equipped with Retina display, 800 pixel camera, FaceTime support, Bluetooth, AirPlay and other functions. The iWatch has a capacity of 16GB, an accelerator and an ambient light sensor, and eight kinds of customizable watchbands. Of course, it also supports third-party extension applications.

3. IWatch with Siri function and Corning Surface Willow Glass

The design of this iWatch comes from the British Guardian, and the functions mentioned include Siri, Corning Surface Willow Glass, body condition detection and communication with iOS devices.

4. Rugged iWatch

This iWatch is from ADR Studios. Because the rendering design appeared earlier, the design of curved glass was not used, but it looks excellent. According to ADR, this iWatch includes functions such as WiFi, Bluetooth, 32GB deletion, FaceTime camera, and small components such as RSS and weather. The iWatch is made of polycarbonate, aluminum, aramid and PK2, so its firmness must be guaranteed.

5. IWatch featuring Siri function

The iSiri smart watch from Federico Ciccarese looked silly at that time. Since it does not support the display of any information, the authenticity of iSiri is not great, but its functionality may be similar. After all, Apple says that Siri is the company's future technology.

6. IWatch looks like iPod nao and iPhone

The iWatch produced by Just Design Things looks like the sixth generation iPod nao and iPhone. The only key of this iWatch is on the side, and there are various colors to choose from. Supported functions include Siri FaceTime、AirPlay、Nike+。

7. Like Nike Fuelband's iWatch

The iWatch, designed by Esben Oxholm, has a very simple appearance. It is made of black metal and rubber wrist strap, showing a dark matt. This concept product is somewhat like Nike Fuelband.

8. Fat iWatch

The iWatch prototype designed by tswithaKay looks bloated. There is also an iPod application in the design. Now the iPod application has been changed to a music application. The elements of this design come from the Nike Amp watch, and then add some iOS elements.
