In recent years, intelligent wearable devices are very popular, but they are not used for the disabled. However, blind people still need crutches or guide dogs to lead the way, which is quite inconvenient. Today, Le Chal, an intelligent shoe, allows blind people to walk independently.
This smart shoe is designed by the designer Anirudh Sharma. The smart shoe is called Le Chal, and in India it is "Take Me There". The main purpose of designing this smart shoe is to lead the blind to their designated position, while avoiding possible collisions and obstacles.
Le Chal, a smart shoe, is designed with the idea of adding vibration elements to the shoes, linking them to smart phones, and GPS for positioning and tracking. After the smart phone detects the user's direction through navigation, it will remind the user to turn left and right by vibrating the corresponding components when turning.
At the same time, Le Chal smart shoe can also detect obstacles 10 feet or 3 meters away through the sensor on the front end, which can remind and avoid users in real time.
It is not clear when the intelligent shoe Le Chal will be launched, but the design team is designing the style of shoes to produce intelligent shoes with perfect functions and the same appearance as ordinary shoes. The LV PrasadEye Institute of India is developing and testing the intelligent shoe Le Chal, and improving the cooperation between the vibration components and GPS software.
