Meizu MX3 was released at the Water Cube on September 2, and this time Meizu called it "a better large screen mobile phone". What are its unique features and competitive advantages? We have a simple trial experience of MX3 through the on-site display machine, and have a taste of the third generation dream machine.
From the appearance, the MX3 and MX2 are basically the same. Of course, the size of the MX3 needs to be larger. The screen size reaches 5.1 inches, and the front still maintains the style of "off screen aesthetics" ▼
Although the screen of MX3 reaches 5.1 inches, thanks to the narrow frame and unique radian of the body, it feels good in one hand ▼
MX2's iconic Home key remains, and MX3 gives it more functions, such as sliding upward to unlock ▼
MX3 boasts an ultra narrow border of 2.9mm. Here we also use LG G2 to compare ▼
The double material injection molding process is abandoned on the back, but it still looks exquisite ▼
The camera remains at 8 million pixels, but the sensor has been upgraded to Sony's third-generation backlight ▼
There is a speaker ▼ at the bottom
The frame is still made of metal and has good thermal conductivity. However, when the body temperature is high, the user will feel hot ▼
On the top is the on-off key and 3.5mm headphone interface ▼
At the bottom is the microphone and microUSB interface ▼
The comparison of fuselage size from left to right is , Xiaomi 2S, HTC One, MX3, LG G2 and ▼
In the photographing interface, Smart Bar has some photographing menus ▼
Because the screen uses a ratio of 15:9, a black edge ▼ appears when playing a common high-definition video

This MX3 uses the same WM5102 chip as the I9500, which re emphasizes music playing. The following is the playing interface ▼
Basemark X, Achievements are basically consistent with I9500 ▼
Now let's take a look at some screenshots of the game
Flyme 3.0 lock screen interface, wallpaper style flattening ▼
Flyme 3 launcher, the style of icons also conforms to the current popular flat design style ▼
The program list is no longer limited to the number of applications. You can slide up and down to turn pages ▼

For system settings, tab icons are listed on the left, and the setting contents are on the right ▼
MX3 model is M353, and the system version is Flyme OS 3.0 ▼
We first experienced the 32G MX3, with the usable capacity of about 29G ▼

MX3 uses Samsung Exynos 5410 1.6GHz "4+4 core" processor, which has strong performance. We also have some simple performance tests on it.
From the hardware information of Anthare, we can clearly see that the GPU of MX3 is SGX544, from which we can infer that it uses Exynos 5410 instead of Exynos 5420 ▼
After a series of tests, the available RAM is only about 600M, and there is still room for optimization ▼
The score of the run point segment is 26576. Although it is also a relatively high score, it still has a certain gap with the I9500 of the same SoC. The difference is mainly in the CPU floating point performance (the Anthare version is 3.4) ▼
The test of Sunspider 1.0.1 was conducted with the browser, and the result was not ideal ▼
Angu Rabbit 3D, MX3 showed abnormal performance in this test, which was not consistent with Angu Rabbit's score in the evaluation ▼
We also conducted other tests on the CPU performance of MX3. When BSPlayer 1.9.150 was used for soft solution testing, MX3 showed strong strength, Average Frames 42 , surpassing I9500 (video parameters 1920 * 1080, 60FPS, ref16) ▼ using the same SoC
The system information Pro is used to detect the CPU frequency. The MX3 is well controlled in frequency reduction. After a long time of testing, the software decoding test of the mobile phone can also float the CPU frequency between 1.4 GHz and 1.6 GHz, keeping the four core full open ▼
Take a photo sample (click to view the large picture, the first one is compressed because it is uploaded on Weibo)
In terms of the simple play at the press conference, while maintaining the original classic appearance design, MX3 has added a stronger hardware configuration and a better Flyme 3.0, which has made significant progress in both hardware and software. In terms of performance, the Exynos 5410 brings strong power to the MX3. At the same time, the MX3 controls the CPU frequency reduction very well, and the heat generation is also better than the previous generation MX2, which is also a very positive signal. Of course, whether the metal frame will have an impact on the signal, and how good the third generation back facing camera is, we still need to pass more detailed tests to know.
