Using microalgae to generate electricity
AlgaeBulb, a "green" light bulb that uses microalgae to generate electricity

Designer Gyula Bodonyi designed a truly "green" bulb, which uses algae inside the bulb to generate electricity and light the small LED light inside the bulb. This design is also called "Algae Bulb".

AlgaeBulb consists of air pump, LED lamp, algae container, polycarbonate shell and air outlet. This system sucks carbon dioxide and water through the air pump. When the air passes through the bulb, a kind of chlorella pyrenoidosa spirulina can be cultivated. Microalgae will absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, and the energy generated in this process provides power for small LEDs.

When AlgaeBulb does not emit light, it looks green, which is the color of microalgae living in it.

Considering the huge number of certification systems in the world, if they are used, they will save a lot of energy. In addition to using renewable energy, it also helps to reduce carbon dioxide and increase oxygen, which is absolutely "green"!

As a new type of bio energy, seaweed has been widely used in the heating, cooling and power generation technologies of houses. This drop shaped Algae Bulb seaweed bulb includes a PC housing, air compressor, water tank and hydrophobic material. When the air enters the inside of the bulb, the oxygen generated by the algae can supply power to the LED lamp. In addition, the reaction process of this bulb will not be affected whether it is placed forward or backward. Although it is small, the algal lamp can achieve mass production and save a lot of energy. At the same time, it also absorbs carbon dioxide, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
