Daytime shooting is regular

Summary of daytime shooting samples: the sharpness is a little bit insufficient, although the sharpness can be adjusted in the camera, I suggest not to adjust it too high. If it is too high, it is easy to increase noise (the default sharpness is set by the editor). In addition, the color restoration is OK. Some scenes are slightly faded. This can be remedied by HDR, which will be explained in the HDR chapter below.

Make good use of HDR shooting

As I said above, in some scenes, the color of the direct shooting will be a little bit lighter. After HDR is turned on, the photos after compositing and adjustment will be more bright than the original image. Although they will be more bright than the naked eye, they will be easier to attract eyeballs. Whether you like this effect depends on your personal opinion.

HDR can also play a role in the night scene.

When HDR is turned off, it can be seen that the background behind is basically dark, and only lights can be photographed.

When HDR is turned on, the background will be clearer.

After the night scene HDR is turned on, the picture will be brighter. In fact, I think that even if you don't turn on the HDR samples, they are all good. Of course, if you want a brighter night scene, you can consider turning on HDR. However, attention should be paid to setting the focus on the bright part of the picture, so that although the picture will be dark, the brightness of the picture will be improved after HDR is turned on.

When HDR is turned on, please note that the dark part of the tower will be lightened after it is turned on, but the place where the left sun light source directly shines will be smeared very dark, so the HDR effect of Xiaomi 2 is not very good, please pay attention to the use.

Summary of HDR shooting effect: Xiaomi 2's HDR performance is not excellent, especially when the light and dark contrast is strong, so it needs to pay attention to the situation.

Macro performance

Xiaomi 2 has a large aperture of F/2.0, and the background is blurred, but it is not soft or even a bit stiff. The background should be soft to make the picture more comfortable. Xiaomi 2 is not good enough at this point.

A little skill about shooting night scenes

In terms of night scenes, although there are several examples in the HDR chapter above, they are still not enough. I will share my skills in shooting night scenes here.

First, let's look at the impact of adjusting the ISO level on the shutter speed and image formation:

Small editors are used to adjusting ISO to the minimum to limit excessive noise in the picture. Considering that the shutter speed of shooting night scenes will become slower, in order to stabilize the image, the editor limits ISO to 200. He thinks that the shutter speed is only 1/2 second at most. Unexpectedly, the shutter speed can reach a full second. The shutter speed of 1 second is too high for a photographer standing on the street to shoot, Any slight jitter will seriously affect the imaging.

By the time the shutter speed is adjusted to 800, the shutter speed has been 1/7 second, which can obtain stable enough imaging, and the noise is not too much.

Adjust to the highest ISO value of 3200, the shutter speed will definitely be the fastest, but it will increase a lot of noise. So ISO only needs to adjust to the range it needs.

By the way, the automatic ISO is 1276. I think it is a little too high, and the picture is noisy. In shooting such a bright scene, the ISO of 800 is enough, but the final adjustment of ISO depends on the actual situation.

In fact, in addition to adjusting the ISO to increase the shutter speed, you can also adjust the shutter speed by adjusting the focus.

For the following two photos, the editor is shooting from the same position with the same ISO setting. Why is the shutter speed so different from the image?

The short story is simple:

In the first picture, the small focus area is the light on the signboard. For most mobile phones, the focus and the metering point are at the same point. You focus on this point, and the metering is also at this point. So when the lens detects that the focus light source is sufficient, it will dim the picture, making the light source part clearly visible. This will darken the rest of the picture, There is less demand for the low beam of the lens, so the shutter does not need to extend the time to allow more light sources to enter the lens, and the shutter speed is naturally fast.

In the second picture, the small editor sets the focus on the dark part on the ground. When the lens detects that the focus position is dark, it will brighten the picture and make the dark part visible. But at this time, the rest of the picture will be brighter. In order to show such a bright picture, the lens will extend the shutter speed to allow more light sources to enter the lens, so the shutter speed will be slow.

Sometimes the night scene is too bright, the shutter speed cannot be lowered, and the hand is easy to shake. What should I do?

In fact, you can also control the brightness of the picture by reducing the exposure. This picture editor reduces the exposure by one gear. In addition to the natural performance of the picture, the shutter speed can be increased a little, and the image will be more stable.

The editor mentioned above that the slowest shutter speed of Xiaomi 2 can be 1 second, which is really good for Xiaomi 2.
