Xiaomi held a media conference on Xiaomi's mobile phone 4c in Beijing today, and also released Xiaomi's own phone card and a Bluetooth speaker. After Hongmi Note2 pulled the MT6795 into the 1000 yuan machine market, Xiaomi 4c directly brought Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 to the 1299 yuan file this time, and the pricing strategy was quite ferocious. Fortunately, Xiaomi 4c, a derivative model of Xiaolong 808, was finally introduced into the mainland market.

The appearance of the new machine is the same as that of Xiaomi 4i. The 3D machine is 138.1 * 69.6 * 7.8mm and weighs 132g. It is available in black, white, yellow, green and pink. It uses a 5-inch 1080P screen (PPI441), a 5 million front camera+13 million rear camera, a Snapdragon 808 processor+3080mAh battery, 2G memory+16G ROM for the standard version, and 3G memory+32G ROM for the high configuration version.

The machine supports dual card and dual standby all Netcom, and can also use 4G from other operators when using Telecom 4G. It uses Type-C interface and supports Qualcomm Fast Charge 2.0, plus multiple technologies and functions such as "double click wake-up, frame rate dynamic adjustment, edge touch, infrared remote control". The Xiaomi 4c follows the appearance and general layout of the Xiaomi 4i. As can be seen from the previous peer lending, the latter is actually an extension of the Xiaomi 3 mobile phone, and its internal layout is similar to that of the Xiaomi 3. The Snapdragon 808 is one of the biggest selling points of the machine. The last two famous models using this SoC are Moto X Style and LG G4, both of which are flagship machines with prices above 3000

The Snapdragon 808 is a 6-core design, consisting of two 1.8GHz A57 and four 1.44GHz A53. The GPU is Adreno 418. There is still a certain gap between the extreme performance and the Snapdragon 810, but the advantage is that the power consumption is relatively low, and it can run at high frequencies for a longer time. The performance is between 801 and 810 clips. It is a very balanced SoC with good reputation.

The biggest advantage of Snapdragon 808 over other chip manufacturers' SoC is still Qualcomm's baseband and ISP (graphics processor). The important premise for realizing the All Netcom 2.0 mentioned below is the All Netcom baseband on the 808.

The screen provides 95% NTSC color gamut, supports the same sun screen technology as Xiaomi Note (changes the contrast to improve readability in the sun), and the minimum brightness can be controlled at 1 nit. After the last promotion of Hongmi Note, Xiaomi wrote the parameters and suppliers in great detail this time. The camera adopts Sony IMX258 or Samsung S5K3M2 sensor, and is equipped with the lens module of Ophiro and Sunny Optics. However, it is impossible to confirm the matching and proportion of these four suppliers when shipping.

IMX258 claims to be an improved version of IMX214 with PDAF phase focusing technology, while the Samsung S5K3M2 is the one on the red rice Note2. In terms of photographic performance, it may be a little better than Red Rice Note2 (perhaps the difference of lens modules will lead to improvement), but it is estimated that the gap is not too large.

The USB Type-C interface is a trend setting. No manufacturer has yet launched a Type-C interface that supports both Qualcomm Fast Charge 2.0 and USB 3.0 speed output. Basically, it can only be compatible with one of them. The Xiaomi 4c chooses fast charge, which the author agrees with very much. However, starting from the experience of LeEco and One Plus Two, it is necessary to provide an additional Type-C cable or interface, It is really better to distinguish between the front and the back of the traditional mirco USB interface. The infrared remote control function on Hongmi Note2 is not absent. It can be used to control infrared appliances such as TV and air conditioner. In terms of network, Xiaomi put forward the concept of All Netcom 2.0. In addition to supporting dual cards and dual standby, the machine can also use the 4G of other operators with another card when using the telecom 4G. It has changed the previous situation of "4G cannot be used with other cards when telecom cards exist" and "4G cannot be used with other cards".

It doesn't make any difference to the users of China Mobile Unicom, but it is a blessing for telecom users (although it is still impossible to use two telecom cards at the same time). However, whether this new scheme will bring large power consumption costs (additional support for telecommunications CDMA may require the addition of another set of RF modules) will be confirmed after actual evaluation.

The high-speed rail mode can lock the base station connection, and correct the Doppler frequency shift under high-speed movement through algorithms (high-speed movement towards and away from the signal transmission source will cause the frequency of radio waves to change). The former is estimated to be only algorithm optimization, and the actual effect may not be obvious, while the latter effect should be more obvious, but the cost is to open two antennas at the same time and need additional calculation, and the power consumption will be higher.

In terms of pricing, the standard version of 2G memory+16G ROM is 1299 yuan, and the high-end version of 3G memory+32G ROM is 1499 yuan. The price difference of 200 lies in the difference between memory and 16G storage. Although the extra 1G memory will not be too big under light use, the machine does not support TF card expansion. Users who have requirements for capacity may have to "bear the pain" to install the high-end version.

Xiaolong 808 at this price has its own competitiveness even in the face of Hongmi Note2. In the price range of 1299-1499, Snapdragon 808 and Zhenquan Netcom are invincible configurations, and MIUI is also one of the best domestic roms. Of course, in terms of absolute price performance ratio, Hongmi Note2 is still the king of price performance ratio. In the eyes of many users, this difference in appearance, fast charging, CPU and All Netcom may not be worth 500.

Xiaomi Mobile Phone Card

At the press conference, two kinds of phone cards, "Let's Go" and "Eat to Full", were launched. The former will be sold tomorrow, and the latter will be publicly tested at the end of October. Xiaomi has also become a real virtual operator. The two cards are three cut cards, which can be inserted into all mobile phones.

What should be popularized here is that virtual operators are somewhat like the agents of the three major operators of China Mobile Unicom. Whether Alibaba or Xiaomi, the phone cards provided by these virtual operators still use the networks of the three major operators.

The main advantage of virtual operators is that the price is relatively cheap. Both purchase and recharge can be completed online (it is estimated that ID card photos will be uploaded for real name authentication). The package can generally take effect immediately after the change (it does not need to wait until the next month), but at the cost of not having a busy business hall and customer service support that the service has to serve.

The selling point of "Let Me Go" is free of monthly fee, that is, rent in 0 month. Whether it is a call, SMS or Internet access, it takes off at 0.1 yuan (phone 0.1 yuan/minute, SMS 0.1 yuan/piece, traffic 0.1 yuan/MB). Conscience is that local calls and long-distance calls are both 0.1 yuan/minute, and there is no roaming in the country. However, it should be noted that this card uses the service of China Unicom, whose signal coverage and stability are far better than those of China Telecom and China Mobile in small and medium-sized cities. Its provider is Telecom (think about it, only Telecom can provide such strong traffic). Its signal stability and coverage are not a problem, but users need to consider whether their mobile phones support the telecom system.

Xiaomi Bluetooth speaker

Compared with the above two speakers, Xiaomi Bluetooth speakers are not very attractive, but their parameters and appearance are good. Its size is similar to that of a large mobile power supply, with a built-in 1500mAh battery. It is officially announced that it can play for 8 hours continuously, and supports direct playback of TF card content.

Its built-in Avnera AV3102 chip, three-stage frequency division dynamic range control, aluminum alloy diaphragm, 36mm neodymium iron boron magnet unit, the highest loudness of 99 dB, and up to 90 dB at 0.5m.

The price is 199 yuan, and the rendering is available in red/pink/purple/blue/gold, but only gold, blue and pink are on sale for the time being. Of course, sound is a metaphysical thing, and the sound quality must be measured before being qualified for blind comparison.
