At the same time, it adds new personalized screen locking functions, new desktop, multi task cards, global notifications, custom fonts and other new functions, bringing more than 300 new functions and more than 1000 performance optimizations.

Flyme 5 continues the functional advantages of mBack, completely removes the bottom classified navigation, reorganizes the internal structure of each application, changes the interface from an I-shaped structure to a T-shaped structure, places the reconstructed primary classified navigation at the top, and keeps the browsing order from top to bottom, so that reading is smoother and the Flyme 4.5 era is reduced, In the process of use, users need to constantly move their eyes up and down.

Flyme 5 cancels the sidebar design with Meizu elements and classifies all contents into five categories: "wireless and network", "tips and notifications", "system", "account", and "device". The titles of each category are displayed in gray shading, which is very eye-catching, while the sub categories below are arranged in a list on a clean white color block, which is clear at a glance. Although giving up the sidebar was criticized, we have to admit that it is a wise choice, and the user's operation process will certainly become natural and smooth. In the era of Flyme 4.5, the four line icon layout is easy to make the icons look a little larger. In order to make more rational use of the large screen space, the icon layout of Flyme 5 is increased to five lines, and the five line layout makes the icon size more reasonable. In addition, it adds the icon batch management function, which can select and move multiple application icons in batch, greatly improving the management efficiency of the desktop.

Flyme 5 finally gave up the traditional pull-up column multi task list and adopted a card like multi task interface similar to the original Android interface, which was opened by sliding from the bottom up. Compared with Flyme 4.5, which only displays multiple tasks with icons, the card based multi task interface is more intuitive. However, the one click all off button has been placed on the top. Another killer feature of Flyme 5 is split screen mode. The split screen mode of Flyme 5 solves the problem of the most popular game of red envelope grabbing. It allows people to use two things at once. The size of the split screen can also be manually zoomed in and out through the line, but there are few applications currently supported, so the practicability is discounted.

Flyme 5's mobile phone search function is actually an upgraded version of Flyme 4.5's mobile phone search function. The unique one button loss reporting function of Flyme has been added, which allows users to report the loss of their mobile phones by searching for mobile applications or logging on to the official Flyme website.
