It's my honor to apply for the trial of this mouse on Lei Feng's website. After confirming the trial list, I expected that this high-tech mouse would give me some surprises and bring some convenience in my daily work. After a whole day's trial, I decided to write this article to complain about it. I work in the information department of a small enterprise, and have some superficial understanding of software development, information security and other fields. This paper will focus on testing the mouse's finger vein recognition function, which is a big selling point of this mouse. This article is only based on personal technical level and experience for trial. All comments only represent personal views. If there are any wrong views, please correct them.

I received an express of the mouse when I went to work in the morning. Because I wanted to try the mouse effect earlier in the company, I first took some unpacking pictures with my mobile phone. I planned to take some high-definition pictures with my camera after I went home in the evening. As a result, after I tried the actual effect of the mouse, I decided to give up taking pictures at night. See the trial notes below for specific reasons.

First of all, the packaging was in place. There were two layers of boxes with a layer of bubble bag in the middle, which showed that the staff were more careful. Unlike the things they bought in XDong, they just put a plastic bag on the original box.

The package was pretty. When I continued to open it, I found a small problem:

The packing box is a pull out type. The gap between the top cover and the bottom box is designed to be very small. The thickness of the box is about 6.5 cm, so it is a little difficult to pull the bottom box out from the top cover.

The package list of the unpacked family photo includes a mouse, a user manual, a thank you card, and the rest are auxiliary packaging materials. The packaging is relatively simple, these are secondary, and the high cost performance of the mouse is the king.

The appearance is also relatively simple. The four white spots on the right are "near infrared lights", the "finger vein viewfinder" is beside them, and the rest are standard mouse structures.

The bottom of the mouse is very common, and the nameplate is in English, which is "tall".

The wired mouse uses a nylon data cable, which feels good. It also comes with a sticky belt to bind the data cable. It seems that it really pays attention.

My hand is too big. I like the big mouse. The frosted surface feels good.

Next is the whole process of trial (start to complain).

Plug in the USB port of the computer, wait a few seconds, the system will automatically recognize the mouse, indicating that there is an unknown device. Normal. Since there is vein recognition, it must be driven. There is no CD in the box, so go to the official website to download it. Open the manual and find the download address. When I saw the following explanation, I was shocked for the first time.

Article 1. The only applicable platform is Windows, and there is no Win10. Well, it is barely acceptable. Items 2 and 3 are all platitudes. Oh My god!! It's funny that we need Microsoft Net support, not to mention that every user needs to install it Net, a relatively large support database, is a hardware product. It is a security device that supports vein recognition Net is a code hosting platform. I really don't know whether to say you are not professional or not!!!

Continue to download the software. The next step is OK after the installation. Open the software to register an account and vein information. Follow the prompts and keep going.

Here we should say that the speed of vein registration is very fast, and pressing the third section of the index finger on the "Finger vein viewfinder" for three seconds indicates that the registration is successful. Then prompt to scan finger vein login, and open the main window interface after login. After I registered the finger vein, I asked three colleagues to come over and try it. They tried repeatedly but failed to log in. This shows that the finger vein scanning is relatively safe. The hardware of this mouse is perfect.

The main window is very simple. There is a button to add quick login. Click it and it will come out [Add fast login account binding]. When I saw this interface, I was shocked again.

Article 1 only supports websites in the list.

What?

Only websites are supported, that is to say, the client applications I commonly use, such as QQ, Baidu Cloud Manager, Alibaba Wangwang, Dingdong, etc., still have to enter user names and passwords, Oh My God， It seems that this mouse is already half a vase. I can see why I don't support it Applications on the Net platform are also unlikely to interact with the bottom layer of the system.

There are 26 or 7 websites supported by the drop-down list roughly. For the first time, bind a website with low privacy, and choose AutoHome.

Since I haven't logged on to that website for a long time, I made a mistake when binding. As a result, I found another place to complain.

After binding, the main interface of the program of "Wukong Finger Vein Mouse" will have the icon of "Home of Automobile". After clicking, the browser is opened. A small problem is that the default browser of my system is Chrome. As a result, IE browser is opened for me. I don't understand why this is so.

Let's leave IE alone. I won't complain about this point.

After logging in, I was prompted that the account or password was wrong. Predictably, when I was ready to re-enter the password, the dedicated 360 popped up this prompt box for me. When I saw this prompt box, I was speechless. There must be a lot of complaints. This prompt is very clear. "Wukong Finger Vein Mouse" is recording the password I entered.

If you haven't realized the seriousness of the problem, then I don't think you need to use this "high-end" "Wukong Finger Vein Mouse". All passwords should be 123456, which will not be forgotten.

The software is actually recording my password!!!! As mentioned earlier, the mouse only supports the login of the web page (I have already complained). The support for the login of the web page means that the computer must be networked. In my "defensive mind", if the software secretly uploads the recorded password to their server... (Many apps on Android phones do this, and CCTV has exposed it).

My Taobao, JD, email... Oh My God! The consequences are unimaginable.

I temporarily believe that the official mouse will not do so. I decided not to try the function of "quick login" any more. I will definitely not use the function of quick login. The function is too weak, and I feel even more insecure. I'd better remember the password with my head. (If you have time to use packet capture software to analyze the network traffic of the software in the future, maybe you can understand more).

To sum up the function of quick login, it is a software that can help you remember your password. When you click the website, it will automatically help us open the page and fill in the password we remember. In addition, it can only use IE (don't you know that Microsoft has abandoned IE?), and also automatically record our password. The process of landing has nothing to do with fingerprint vein identification. In fact, I understand that the purpose of recording passwords is to update the passwords saved for us in the software. However, in a networked software, there is a function to record the login password of the web page. I have to allow it to record, and it is a software of a start-up company. I really dare not use it.

When I wrote about this place, I really didn't want to continue. In line with the principle of "trial must feel", let's try the file protection function again.

This interface prompts how to add and remove protection to a folder. It does not mention how to authorize access.

Because there are too many interfaces for software operation, I will take a screenshot here and try to explain it in text.

Add a folder randomly according to the prompt, and then double-click to access the folder. The interface appears that I do not have permission to access the folder. Why not authorize the login interface? How should I visit? Open the software interface and continue to search, but still can't find how to authorize and access this folder. Can you only unlock it in the upper interface? Unlocking is possible. I haven't found other methods for a long time.

To summarize the usage of this function:

1. Open the "Wukong Finger Vein Mouse" and scan the finger vein for login

2. Unlock folders in file protection

3. Operate on folders

4. Return to the file protection in the "Wukong Finger Vein Mouse" and lock the folder (if the interface has been closed, you need to reopen it and log in again with the finger vein).

      Oh My God！ It is so troublesome to use encrypted folders. The designer of this software graduated from the art department, right! At least we should refer to the design ideas of our predecessors. Is it just made out of thin air?

The last function is screen lock. This function is really easy to use, but it's a bit lame. Few people lock the computer at home. Almost everyone in the business office computer has a password, which is usually known by several people next to the computer password. Occasionally, they directly borrow computers from each other. At least our company is like this. I remember that it was like this when I was at Foxconn. If we used finger vein encryption, it seemed that we had to log in by ourselves, and others would not be able to use it.

I have written so many articles in disorder. It means that you still pay attention to this product. First of all, let's talk about the hardware. All the hard indicators of the mouse are qualified, and the finger vein encryption is also qualified. Most of my content is about software, which can be said to be a failure. Because all operating systems are not designed for Godson, and Apple's IOS system is designed specifically for his chips, so the combination of hardware and software can give maximum effect.

I am not qualified to say how a product or company should go. All the contents of the article only represent personal views. Different people will have different views on the same product. Here are some suggestions on software:

1. Opening the SDK for finger vein recognition can enable people in need to apply the finger vein recognition authorization function to their own systems, and it is also conducive to the development of hardware to allow more people to participate in the development of applications.

2. There are many similar software in the field of file encryption. With the help of their use mode and the finger vein recognition function of the mouse, the file encryption function can be convenient and safe. This function is still in demand in most companies.

3. The client software should be written in the underlying language as far as possible to better interact with the system.

4. In the quick login function, the website should be added at will. Now, most enterprises have their own management systems, which are also logged in on the web. Some public institutions even have N kinds of systems inside. If the fast login websites can be defined randomly, the application range will be very wide.

It is obvious that the software part of this product is not very mature. Now that the hardware has been completed, the software will also be improved quickly. As a member of the enterprise information department, I am still full of expectations for this product. In the field of business applications, information security is more important. My boss and boss need not be crazy about remembering and mixing all kinds of passwords every day.

This article does not comment on mouse sensitivity, trial environment, button feel and other aspects. A mouse worth tens of yuan can do well in these aspects, so I feel no need to comment again. Most of the evaluation articles are intended to promote the product, but this article points out many shortcomings of the product in order to hope that the product can go to a higher level.
