ZTE AXON Tianji uses a unique dual camera design. The main camera is an IMX214 F/181.3 megapixel camera, which is mainly responsible for depth of field detection. What is the shooting effect of the two cameras of AXON Tianji? Let's have a look.


Camera application

The shooting interface of AXON Tianji slides to the right to enter the background virtualization mode, which can simulate the aperture of 1.0 at most and F8.0 at least. This background virtualization can simulate the aperture size to highlight the depth of field virtualization effect. Slide left to enter more shooting modes, including panoramic, multi exposure, manual, motion, slow motion and interval shooting (delayed shooting). In the automatic shooting mode, there will be a switch for HDR function in the center, as well as buttons for setting, flashing, timing shooting and switching the front camera.


In camera settings, there are also functions such as locking focus and anti streak when taking pictures, which are relatively novel. In addition, there is a rare 2.5 second manual long exposure setting below 3 seconds, which is more careful than the camera setting that jumps to 4 seconds after 2 seconds from some mobile phones.

Daytime imaging

We zoomed in 100% to see the details of the sample, and the analytical power of the center was very good. The words "Shenzhen Tourism Information Center" were also very clear. What was more surprising was that the buildings were in a backlight environment at that time, and the scenes in the sample observation room were still clearly seen, not black.


The image of the edge is slightly weaker than that of the center, but the words of such and such desserts printed on the flower stand can still be seen clearly. Considering that the wide-angle is relatively large after all, the edge degradation of this degree is well controlled.

We are familiar with Sony IMX214. Especially with the combination of IMX214 used by Qualcomm, the performance of Sony IMX214 is still stable, so there is no need to worry about its daytime performance.


HDR

Then let's take a look at the HDR prototype performance of AXON Tianji. The left side is taken in automatic mode, and the right side is taken in HDR mode. It can be seen that the HDR model has more details under the shadow of the prototype, and the color will change slightly, making it more bright.

However, the sky machine requires a long shooting distance, and the shooting distance cannot be very close to the subject, which leads to the inability to shoot too small objects, which is a pity.

The night scene performance of AXON Tianji in the automatic mode is relatively excellent. Although the ISO is relatively high, AXON Tianji has a good control over noise, and it still maintains good details after zooming in. However, in darker scenes, the imaging ability of the mobile phone's automatic mode is still limited. After the noise generated by high ISO is smeared, the sample will be blurred and not pure enough.

However, AXON Tianji supports the manual mode. After limiting the minimum 100 ISO, and setting it to 3 seconds of long exposure, you can get a clear detail and clean picture of the night scene.
