Super endurance Jinli M5 shooting evaluation
Super endurance Jinli M5 shooting evaluation

With a 6020 mAh battery, the Jinli M5 uses an F/2.0 large aperture 13 million pixel camera and a 5 million front camera. The hardware conforms to the current mainstream mobile phone configuration. As for the performance of the Jinli M5 in various scenarios, let's take a look.

Camera interface

The camera interface of the Jinli M5 is relatively standard. The upper left is the shooting mode, where you can select the camera shooting function, and the functions are very complete. The upper right is the setting key, where you can set the shooting mode, countdown, composition assistance and other tools.

The M5 camera can design the focus and metering points respectively in the automatic mode, which can easily control the camera exposure when shooting.

Daytime performance

Let's first take a look at the imaging performance of the Jinli M5 in the daytime. It uses the F/213 million pixel camera. The imaging in the daytime is OK, and the color can be slightly brighter. Now the proof is a little cold, a little bit blue, which is not suitable for ordinary consumers.

We zoom in 100% of the screenshot, and the details of the central area in the picture are good. The words of the tourist center on the picture are also very clear, and the tolerance is acceptable. The details inside the backlit building can be seen, without being overshadowed by shadows.

In terms of edge imaging, compared with the central position, it will be slightly degraded. However, the wide angle of the Jinli M5 is very large, so the edge stretching and slight degradation are understandable.

We can use the iPhone 6 to compare the wide-angle of the two photos. Both photos are taken from the same place, and the left side of both photos reserve almost the same position. On the right side of the sample, we can clearly see that the scenery taken by the Jinli M5 is much more than that of the iPhone 6, and the range of up and down view is much larger than that of the iPhone 6.

Even when shooting remote buildings, they still maintain a certain degree of clarity after 100% magnification, and the detail capture ability of the Jinli M5 is also at an excellent level.

HDR

We can see that after the HDR mode is turned on, the overall color of the picture is brighter, the color is bright, and the details under the shadow are more, which is very consistent with the mainstream perception of mass consumers, and the effect is quite attractive.

Next, let's look at the local details of the automatic mode and HDR mode imaging. We selected the screenshot at the lower right corner of the sample, In HDR mode, the shadow details of plants are clearer, and the sharpening effect will be slightly enhanced after HDR, so although the HDR proof will be clearer, it may also have a little more jagged noise, but at least the effect is realistic.

Continue to paste two HDR comparison pictures. If you are interested in taking a closer look, you can click the magnifying glass at the upper right corner of the picture to view the sample with a larger resolution. It can be seen that after the HDR mode is turned on, the color of the sample is more bright and bright, and there are more details. In some cases where the contrast of light ratio is large, we also recommend turning on the HDR mode for shooting.

Macro

(The above figure is 100% enlarged)

Next, let's take a look at the macro performance of the Jinli M5. In terms of details, the M5 is also good. After 100% magnification, the details of the petals are very clear, and the picture is relatively clean. However, when shooting this macro, the white balance is slightly off, but still within an acceptable range.

The recent focusing distance is also relatively close, so it is easier to shoot small objects.

(100% screenshot above)

As I said before, compared with the current mainstream, which likes bright and bright colors, the taste of color adjustment in automatic mode is a little bit lighter. However, you can try to turn on HDR shooting at this time. Maybe there will be better color effects.

Nightscape

This is the night scene sample shot by Jinli M5 automatic mode. We can see that the ISO has been raised to 1800, and the shutter speed is still within the safe range of 1/25 second. It is estimated that Jinli has to sacrifice the picture for a faster imaging speed in order to improve the film production rate, This processing method leads to the obvious noise of the night scene in the automatic mode, and the details are also blurred by the noise.

(100% screenshot above)

However, the M5 camera has its own night view mode. When shooting the night view, I strongly recommend that you turn on this mode. As we can see, the noise of the night view shot with this mode has been suppressed perfectly, which ensures the details while reducing the noise, and the shutter speed is also slightly slowed down. You must be steady when shooting.

By comparing the screenshots of the two models, we can see more clearly the difference between the details of the samples taken in the automatic mode and the night view mode. The lines on the buildings and the words "Tourism Center" pressed by the noise are all presented after the night view mode is turned on. It can be seen that the night view mode algorithm of the Jinli M5 is also quite powerful.

However, in some darker scenes, the shutter speed has basically slowed down to 1/10 second of the slowest in the automatic mode, and the ISO has been pulled higher. Even if the powerful noise reduction algorithm in the night view mode is turned on, the noise is only reduced a little, and the improvement of the picture is still small.

This is the time to move out of the manual mode of the Jinli M5 for shooting. We press the ISO of the camera to a minimum of 100 sensitivity, and then set the shutter speed of 3 seconds. After setting up the mini portable tripod, determine the composition, and then shoot this long exposure night scene. Is it true that the thumbnail is much better than the above two night scenes?

Next, let's compare the local details of the three modes of screenshots. We can see that the noise and details of the night scene samples in automatic mode are poor. After the nightscape mode is enabled, the performance of noise reduction effect and details has been improved, but it is still not an excellent nightscape detail. In the third picture, after shooting in manual mode, the noise is not obvious, and the detail performance is absolutely excellent. The performance effect completely overwhelms the first two shooting modes.

It is believed that through these groups of samples, you can clearly see the performance of the samples taken in manual mode. However, to use manual mode, you must have a good way to use a fixed phone to take long exposure night pictures.

Manual mode shooting has many restrictions, and not everyone is accustomed to carrying a portable tripod. However, once you have a way to fix your mobile phone, you can enjoy recording the beautiful night scene in front of you.

Other functions

M5 camera comes with some classic filters, and it is a real-time filter. You can see the performance effect after shooting through the camera's real-time shooting.

Nostalgia.

Obscure.

Black and white.

The M5 also has a real-time beauty mode, and you can see the effect after shooting through camera preview adjustment.

Beauty includes big eyes, skin abrasion, thin face and whitening, which is the comparison of the samples after the highest beauty effect is turned on.

Text correction: after shooting, the phone will automatically cut the correction angle, so that the text content in the picture can be displayed at a neutral angle as far as possible.

summary

The performance of the Jinli M5 in the daytime is relatively standard, the white balance is slightly cold, but this later period can be adjusted by engineers, and the detail performance is also consistent with the performance of 13 million pixels, the tolerance is also relatively good, and the image quality of the edge is acceptable. The HDR proof is really eye-catching. The details under the shadow are more abundant, and the colors are also very bright and attractive. In terms of macro, the recent focusing distance is ideal, which can shoot smaller objects, and the ability to capture details is also excellent. In terms of night view, although the performance of night view taken in automatic mode is not excellent, there are still night view modes that can improve the imaging effect of night view samples. If you can fix your mobile phone, you can still use a more excellent manual mode to shoot night scenes, and the imaging effect is also quite good. And the beauty effect is also quite excellent. All kinds of skin abrasion, big eyes and thin faces will be loved by many beauty lovers. In addition, it is surprising that the power of the mobile phone only dropped from 36% to 33% after shooting for half a day. During the shooting, the high intensity bright screen was used all the time. The battery life of the Jinli M5 is also quite amazing.
