Packaging and accessories
What we got was a commemorative engineering machine. The outer white paper box was very simple, and the inner layer was black plastic packaging.

The charging base is exquisitely made. The data cable on the outer layer of nylon is very thin, which is nearly 40cm apart. The USB connector is magnetically attached to the base, which is also very convenient to carry out.
Appearance and workmanship
The small black 2 dial is 45 * 34.4 * 11 mm, and the 20mm strap is used. Xiaohei 2 gave up the first generation of arc frame, and its shape is more robust. With a commemorative version of the cattle leather strap, its appearance has matured a lot.
The front is covered by a piece of glass that claims to have a hardness of 7H, and below it is the Memory LCD screen, which is the biggest feature of Xiaohei. The screen proportion of the dial is not high, but the screen is dark enough to successfully achieve LeEco's ancestral "ID without border", and the appearance is good.
The logo and charging contact are on the back, and the words of engineering machine and 3ATM waterproof (30m water depth, can deal with surfing, diving and other occasions) are also printed. A quick release lever can be seen at the interface of the leather watch strap. Push the lever to remove the watch strap.
The belt buckle has been brushed after being painted. The belt is thin and soft, resulting in an average texture.

The left side of the fuselage is a return button, and the right side is a up and down selection and confirmation button. The button is very solid, completely free of empty position, and slightly hard to handle. Fortunately, the button is of dome design, which is relatively comfortable to press.
The privileges of the commemorative edition also include the attached silicone watchband, which is transferred to a separate buffer paper bag.
The silicone strap is slightly longer than the belt, and the buckle is more square. Silicone material is good, also very thin and soft, very comfortable to touch. There is a grid pattern on the outside, but there is no bulge on the inside, so the air permeability is average.

Wearing feel
The biggest change of Little Black 2 is that its appearance is more mature, and its body becomes lighter and thinner. The body weight of 19g is even lighter than many bracelets, which brings a direct improvement in wearing comfort. Although the leather strap is really thin to no texture, the soft and light strap has no sense of existence.
The price is that for users with thin wrists like the author, the watch strap is too soft, and the watch body will move significantly when the wrist is rotated. However, the wearing comfort of this leather watchband can still be scored very high.
The watch body is compressed to 11mm, and its thickness is close to that of the medium-sized bracelet fitbit charge.
It is a pity (but very normal) that the silicone wristwatch strap doesn't feel as good as the leather wristwatch strap. The silicone tape is also thin and light, but its permeability is poor. Moreover, the silicone tape will not have the self bending of the leather watch strap. After wearing it, the dial and itself will be pressed on the skin, which makes the permeability worse. The wearing comfort can only rank on the average level of a smart watch (but the author prefers the appearance of the silicone watch strap...).
In terms of maintenance, the dial basically doesn't need to worry. The 7H hard glass on the front won't be scratched by daily sundries such as keys, while the black plastic body is not obvious even if it is scratched. However, there are some precautions for the watchband. The leather watchband still needs to avoid soaking in water, otherwise it will be really sad to wear it; The all black silicone watchband is easy to get dirty, so you should pay attention to cleaning at ordinary times.

The biggest significance of a smart watch is its screen. The two generations of Xiaohei use Sharp's Memory LCD screen. Its feature is that it is close to the power consumption of E-INK screen, does not self illuminate, and its refresh speed is much higher than the latter, but both can only display black and white, and the pixel density/PPI is not high.
Appearance: The screen looks like an ordinary electronic watch, with a faint purple color on the side. The use characteristics are almost the same as e-ink. The brighter the ambient light is, the clearer you can see it. There is no problem of visual angle. When you press the button, the light purple blue backlight will light up, and its brightness will not be dazzling in the middle of the night.
Fineness: The size and resolution of the screen are not officially announced. The pixels are very obvious. The screen can only display 120 Chinese characters, and PPI is barely enough. However, as a black and white screen, PPI seems to be meaningless

Apart from viewing time, there are only three pages: time, sports statistics and function list. There are only five functions in the function list: "message notification, running record, music and photo control, and mobile phone search".
In fact, the following three functions can interact:
Running mode is a function for sports enthusiasts. When it is turned on, the four data of sports duration/kilometers/step frequency/step speed can be displayed in real time without the mobile phone;
Music control is the most significant function in addition to message push. After the watch is connected to the mobile phone, the watch can still control the song playing even when the mobile phone is on the rest screen. Wear earphones to listen to music on the way to and from work, and your mobile phone can cut songs in your bag, or you can let your mobile phone play songs at home without taking your mobile phone;
Remote control photography and video recording are basically functions of merging eggs. Even though its usage rate is low, it needs to open the corresponding page in the mobile phone client to control the mobile phone with a watch
App and function
Xiaohei's app requires Android 4.4 and iOS 7.1 or above. As a smart watch, hundreds of maps, numbers and pointer dials are officially provided, but the number of pixels and black and white are limited. Many map patterns have a retro and geek flavor.
The app interface is impressive. Its functions are simple, focused and highly realized. The core functions are still the same as those of watches/bracelets: sports/sleep data statistics, message push filtering, and schedule/alarm clock settings.
The movement/sleep statistics of Xiaohei 2 are very similar to that of inwatch. Both use time lines to display all movement and sleep data. The intensity of exercise and the depth of sleep are shown by the chart, but the chart is too general, which can only roughly understand whether you are sleeping well or not, and the intensity of exercise is not intense. It's a pity that you can't see what minute you are running or can't sleep like similar products.
In terms of accuracy, it may be that the engineering machine has not been debugged yet, and the step count value of Xiaohei 2 is about 20-30% lower, which is the opposite of the conventional fitbit charge. The judgment of the machine's sleep and wake time is very accurate, but the recognition of the off meter situation still needs to be improved (the use of the mobile phone while lying in bed with a watch after the author takes a bath off the watch is also regarded as a sleep embarrassment).
Message push supports application filtering, which can display almost all messages that can be popped up in the mobile phone notification bar. It supports up to 120 Chinese characters, but does not support pictures and voice (nonsense). It can also display notification content such as WeChat. It supports Do Not Disturb mode (no shock wake-up in a specific period of time), which is much more practical than the bracelet that can only display application icons.
For heavy users who have a lot of agenda reminders or QQ WeChat, this message reminder can help you save a lot of energy on your mobile phone.
However, schedule reminders should be set in the app. It is not possible to import the calendar that comes with the phone or a third-party calendar. In addition, the phone's own schedule reminders can also be pushed to the watch, which makes this function a bit redundant. In terms of alarm clocks, at most three alarm clocks are supported, but unfortunately, the vibration amplitude is not strong, and it can only vibrate for about 20 seconds. It is difficult to wake users who will sleep to death, such as the author. They still need to use multiple alarm clocks in a continuous array to wake themselves up.
The additional function is to prevent the phone from losing. The implementation principle is similar to the remote music control. The watch can control the phone to emit sound and vibration, so that users can find the location of the phone easily; Turning the wrist to turn on the screen can wake up the backlight with action, and you can also save the action of turning on the screen at night. The wake-up function is very sensitive, and the function is fully available, but at the cost of higher power consumption. However, with the help of Xiaohei 2's 1-month endurance, it is estimated that this function can last about a week.

When Xiaohei 2 sold for 399 yuan last year, it seemed to be highly functional and cost-effective. In this year, Xiaomi bracelet has pushed the bracelet products to below 100 yuan. Many domestic bracelets have added screen and message push functions, which makes Xiaohei 2, with a comprehensive upgrade, look inferior to the previous generation in terms of cost performance.
