1. Unpacking brief comment
Since Zenfone2 won the 2015 Hanover IF Design Award, the box should be printed with a big IF logo. The Intel INSIDE logo on the side also indicates the Intel lineage of zenfone2. In addition, no detailed parameter configuration is marked on either the side or the bottom, and only a few icons on one side represent the characteristic functions of zenfone2.
The packing box adopts a drawer opening design, and the packing box contains: PC, fast charger, data cable, manual and warranty card. The fast charging head supports a charging speed of 5V=2A or 9V=2A. Officially, it can be charged to 60% in 39 minutes.
Seeing the phone made me feel like I saw a Korean phone. Samsung's factory membrane a few years ago would also be printed with various features of the phone. On the factory film of Zenfone2, we can clearly know that Zenfone2 mainly focuses on photography, high screen proportion, high performance, etc. Zenfone2 adopts a 5.5 inch 1080P screen, uses IPS+technology, has a pixel density of 403PPI, and is covered with the third generation Corning Gorilla glass. Its durability is guaranteed. On the front are light sensors, distance sensors (two sensors can be seen in strong light), recessed long earphones, 500w pixels, wide-angle cameras with an aperture of 2.0, Andro's Three Heavenly Kings and the lowest concentric circle design. The body size is 152.5 * 77.2 * 3.9~10.9mm (thickness will be mentioned later). The overall weight is 170g. For a mobile phone with a non metal body, the weight is too heavy.
Tearing off the original protective film, we can see the red metal brushed back cover. However, the back cover is plastic. The plastic is not inferior to the metal brushed texture of LG G3. It seems that the workmanship of ASUS is very good! The back is a true tone dual color temperature flash, 1300w f/2.0 large aperture ultra wide angle camera, equipped with PixelMaster technology, volume key, Intel inside logo, Array speakers. This volume button is worth mentioning. It is similar to the back button of LG series, but the power on wake-up button is on the top, and LG is not placed on the back. The top is noise reduction mic, unlocking key, 3.5mm standard headphone interface. On 5.5 inch mobile phones, even though the screen proportion is higher, the size of the phone is difficult to hold with one hand. It is not a wise choice to put the unlock key on the top! However, Zenfone2 supports double clicking the bright screen and double clicking the lock screen, which largely solves this problem. There are no buttons on both sides of the body, but it can be clearly seen that Zenfone2 is somewhat like the double arc shape of HTC ONE E8, which makes the thinnest part of Zenfone2 3.9mm, and the thickest part only 10.9mm.
There is a notch on the right side of the fuselage for us to open the rear cover. After opening the back cover, you can see the TF card slot supporting up to 64GB expansion, sim1 supporting 4G and SIM2 only supporting calls. SIM1 supports dual 4G of China Mobile and China Unicom. Although the mobile phones that support TF expansion are very conscientious now, it is simply unbearable to remove the back cover and not replace the battery.

2. Features
Zenfone2 adopts the Zen UI based on Android 5.0, with many features: memory cleaning, power saving mode Zen motion、 Screen color adjustment, etc. This transport and storage destruction technology is really awesome. Once it is turned on, there is only about 3GB of transport and storage available. After a while, there was only 2GB left, but fortunately, there was no memory shortage after such a long time. There are also many power saving modes to choose from. The system default is the balance mode. Zenfone2's ultimate power saving mode is to turn off animation, turn down brightness, reduce frequency, and disconnect. Generally, it is the same as the ultimate power saving mode of HTC and Samsung, but obviously Samsung and HTC will save more power. (black home screen and disconnect all connections)
Action: Long press or slide up on the desktop to call up the "Management Main Screen" interface, where you can customize the desktop in depth. Slide down on the desktop to call up the notification bar. Double clicking the lock screen is also limited to the desktop. The Home key slides up to call up the Baidu app. It can be set to call out the single hand mode. The multi task key can be set to hold down for screen capture.

3. Actual use

3.1.1 Basic camera interface and shooting mode
Of course, the highlights should be framed for special instructions. Zenfone2 adopts 1300W, f/2.0 wide-angle rear camera+500W, f/2.0 wide-angle front camera.
The default automatic mode photographing interface of the latter camera is as follows: the top is for setting, switching to the front camera, flash switch, and the bottom is for mode selection, shutter, photographing video switching key, and album. There are 18 modes to choose from, among which we will focus on manual mode, dim light mode and delay shooting. The diversity of shooting modes has greatly enhanced the playability of zenfone2, as well as its PIXEL MASTER technology.
In the album interface, we can quickly flip through photos by pinching two fingers. Sliding upward can quickly delete photos. When you manually delete the wrong photo, there is also a remedy to undo the deletion, but undo can only restore the recently deleted photo. There are still many adjustable parameters, which are very useful for audiophile users, but not for ordinary users, but I can not, but you can't do without the deep-rooted consumption concept, so manual mode is more and more common in cameras of major mobile phone manufacturers.

3.2 Battery Mobile phones are becoming more and more unusable, and the power is as touching as a diabetes insipidus. Just like my iPhone 6, it charges three times a day, and nobody needs to play with the phone! (I am a heavy mobile user) Zenfone2 is equipped with 3000mAh battery and its own fast charging technology. The official said that 60% of the battery will be charged in 30 minutes. Let's test it.
During the charging process, the screensaver will display the words "charging fast". When the power exceeds a certain value, the phone will predict the time required for you to fully charge. This screenshot is taken when charging for 30 minutes. At this time, the charge is 42%. (Charging starts after automatic shutdown.) It takes just 70 minutes from 0% to 100%, which is good compared with other mobile phones that can be fully charged within 2 hours, but the actual charging speed is still far behind the official charging speed. After testing, it can last about 6 hours under heavy use (use time). At night, the standby power failure rate reaches 6%, which I can't praise. (Balanced mode, non intelligent power-saving mode) It seems that even the 3000mAh large battery is difficult to have good endurance under the 5.5 inch screen.
3.3 Screen The screen has always been one of the weaknesses of Zenfone 2. Even if the IPS+technology is adopted, the full fitting panel and the third generation gorilla glass cannot resist the thick sense of cheapness of the front panel. However, it is a 2k mobile phone after all, and it may be a little poor if you want it to be a compelling phone. The screen parameters are impeccable, but what about the color? First, a set of contrasts against a red background. On the left is HTC ONE M7, and on the right is Zenfone2. It can be seen that the Super lcd screen adopted by M7 displays more transparent red, while zenfone2 is more profound. In terms of visual angle, zenfone2 has obvious color deviation, directly changing from red to pink.
Other colors: It can be seen that yellow is the worst on the Zenfone2 screen. Bright yellow directly turns into fecal yellow, and the screen color is obviously green, especially in the case of white. White directly reverts to silver gray. I think I'm going blind. In the last picture, there is obvious light leakage under the black display, which shows that the workmanship of ASUS is still not guaranteed to be particularly exquisite.
It is worth mentioning that Zenfone2 has its own color temperature regulator, which can customize the screen color temperature according to users' preferences. It also has its own color temperature in three modes: balance mode, eye protection mode and bright color mode. The color difference can be directly felt through the icon color in the white box.
3.4 Daily use We all know that Intel chip has been developing for several years on the mobile terminal. The first Intel chip smart phone should be MOTO's Fengli mobile phone. However, compatibility has hindered its sales. A few years later, when using Intel chips for mobile phones, compatibility is no longer a problem. At present, most of the software and games on the market are compatible, but a few games will encounter the problem of flash back. Mainstream software has been well compatible, so users need not worry. As a 64 bit Intel chip, some netizens said that this configuration can be used for wining. In fact, on Zenfone2, it's hard to avoid some clumsy plans. The startup time is about 35s, which makes me crazy and overturns my view that the higher the configuration, the faster the startup speed. (After all, it only takes 18 seconds for the i9300 to boot up) Maybe it is related to flash memory. After all, SSD computers can boot much faster than HDD computers.
4. Summary Advantages: low price, high configuration, smooth operation, excellent performance of PixelMaster camera (especially in weak light), and rich features. Disadvantages: problems with screen calibration, Atom CPU compatibility, and battery life need to be improved. Comprehensive: high cost performance, worth buying.
