Today, Xiaomi held a media conference in Beijing. In addition to the new Xiaomi TV that everyone knows and the new Xiaomi tablet that everyone guessed wrong, Xiaomi also unexpectedly released the Xiaomi water purifier and TDS detection pen. Xiaomi TDS detection pen
The first is the Xiaomi TDS detection pen as a gift for guests at the opening. The packaging of the machine is also a typical millet style (the mobile phone tablet has a kraft paper box, and other small accessories are all packed in pure white).
There is only one millet logo on the front, product specifications on the side, and very detailed product introduction on the back.
After opening the package, in addition to the San Bao certificate, it is the pen body.

The author conducted the test in the on-site bathroom, submerged 2/3 of the pen cap with the water sample to be tested, and stirred to remove the bubbles adsorbed on the pen head. The reading is stable in about 3 seconds, in ppm.
The TDS reading of tap water in this area of Beijing is about 170, which is not ideal (For reference, the reading of tap water in the toilets of Shenzhen office building is about 70ppm, while that of Ipoh barreled water is about 1ppm).
The full name of TDS is total soluble solids, that is, how many milligrams of soluble solids are dissolved in water. The unit is mg/L, or ppm, which is common but difficult to understand.
In fact, it is not used to test how good the water quality is, but to test how bad the water quality is. Because TDS does not include soluble salts, organic matter, and insoluble particles that can pass through the filter. However, if even a simple indicator such as TDS is failed, the water quality will certainly not be very good.
Xiaomi TV 2s
Then came the Xiaomi TV 2s, which occupied the main space in the press conference. As for why it is not Xiaomi TV 3, the main reason is that its appearance has hardly changed except for the backplane material and thickness.
The front bottom and base are not different from Xiaomi TV 2.
The body layout is very similar to that of Xiaomi TV 2. The vertically placed interfaces include two USB interfaces (one is USB3.0) and two HDMI interfaces.
The horizontally placed interfaces include the third HDMI interface, AV tricolor cable, network cable interface, audio output and other rarely used interfaces.
The fuselage panel is really thin, and has caught up with mobile phones. On the left is the S6 edge with a cover, and on the right is the Xiaomi Note.
The outer edge of the screen is metal wrapped, and the front is a black anodized frame. The screen edge still has a black edge of a certain width.
This time, the back plate is also replaced with the anodized aluminum process commonly used in mobile phones, which is much higher than the standard.
The miniaturized power connector made by twice injection molding is much smaller than the plug of millet patch panel on both sides.
There was also the dismantling of the TV on site. The whole circuit board of the TV is equipped with a 4-core A17 architecture MStar 6A928 CPU, Mali-T760 MP4 GPU, 2G memory+8G eMMC 5.0 flash memory.
Broadcom's BCM43569 wireless chip, 2.4/5GHz dual band wifi, 802.11ac dual antenna, Bluetooth and other modules are all on a separate circuit board.

In indoor lighting, the color performance, visual angle and fineness of the screen are also really good.
In the darkroom used for contrast testing, the default placement order is Sharp on the left, Xiaomi TV 2s in the middle, and Sony on the right. The test uses a macbook (below the figure above). After the video signal of the machine is transferred from one to three, it is respectively connected to three televisions.
The first is the dark field performance. The Sony Dafa (far right) of this model leaks light impressively, while Philips (far left) performs slightly better. Even considering the brightness difference of the upper backlight panel, the dark field performance of the Xiaomi TV 2s is really exaggerated (Sony on the right has the smallest maximum brightness).

Sharp has been criticized for its lack of special decoding processing. Even the 4K panel is still drunk when encountering the situation of "tiny+white characters on red background". Sony's performance of this model is similar to that of Xiaomi, and it is also the second flying Sharp model. However, whether Xiaomi's independent decoding scheme has the same significant improvement in other cases remains to be evaluated later.

You can see that Sony's brightness on the far right is much lower, but its actual appearance is actually the most comfortable. This requires the manufacturer to have enough confidence and the fans to have enough faith, because it is not conducive to the manufacturer to sell the machine in the store (under the light of the store, the machine with higher brightness will be more attractive).

The water inlet and outlet are designed on the touch tap, which can leave a pipe position. The two buttons above can choose to directly come from the incoming water or the filtered water.
The waste water pipe is relatively thin, and there are two suction cups on it, which can facilitate the user to fix it to a suitable position. The detail design is very considerate.
