This is a smart sports watch that is preparing for crowdfunding. The machine consists of the core of traditional quartz watch and smart bracelet. In addition to supporting functions such as step counting, sleep monitoring, vibrating alarm clock, message push, etc., it should also be the first intelligent meter of its kind to add LED screens.
Accessories and appearance
The packaging of the machine has not been determined yet, and the engineering machine of Unik2 has not been packed. Machine accessories include instructions, charging base and USB charging cable.
The machine is a pure sports watch shape, and the strap and body are all pure black color.
The front and back of the silicone watchband are decorated with orange stitches. The material is soft and comfortable to touch. The "sticky hair performance" of the material is very excellent, and it is difficult to clean the dust, but this is not a problem for gray black products.
The metal watch buckle is brushed and engraved with the brand logo of Yimei.
The dial has concentric circles and orange fluorescent pointer. The crescent shaped LED display below can display simple text messages, which is the biggest difference between it and similar smart watches/sports watches in appearance.
The body is made of plastic material. The crown on the right is used to adjust the time. Four square buttons are symmetrically placed on both sides. The touch of the button is the same as that of common sports watches. It is not very pleasing. The key range is large but there is no obvious sense of paragraph. Fortunately, the area of the key is large, and the touch of pressing is relatively harmonious.
The structure of the machine should be similar to that of similar products. It is internally integrated with an intelligent bracelet and a traditional quartz watch, and uses independent power supply (even if the intelligent part has no power, you can see the time).
Stainless steel back cover is provided with concentric circle wire drawing treatment. In addition to logo, it shall also have 5ATM waterproof mark. The two dots above are the charging contacts of the intelligent part.
The charging base adopts micro USB power interface.
The base uses a silicone buckle to fix the watch body. It has no magnetic suction design and is not convenient to use.
Wearing experience
The main factors affecting the wearing feeling include size, weight, shape, material and surface treatment, and weight distribution. The body of the Unik2 is thicker than that of the traditional sports watch. The size and weight of the Unik2 are controlled, and it can only be ranked in the middle or lower level among smart watches. When wearing the real thing, it will be found that the manufacturer did not use the metal dial, which is really the right choice (the body is heavy enough).

Soft and slightly slippery silicone strap, waterproof, breathable and tactile, very comfortable to wear. However, the weight is almost concentrated on the dial, and users with thin wrists will feel obvious drag when swinging. The wearing experience of Unik2 also follows the principle of weight and size: it is not as good as the bracelet and the smaller Android wear device, but it is not less than the watch equipped with Android system.
Unfortunately, the design of the replaceable watch strap is not visible on the engineering machine, so it is unlikely to support the replacement of metal or leather watch straps for the time being. In addition, because the screen is under the dial, the pointer sometimes blocks the screen behind, but it has little impact on daily use.

The machine client does not have the normal code matching process, so the connection is very convenient. But theoretically, other nearby mobile phones can also be connected to the watch you are wearing. It is estimated that verification methods such as QR code scanning or button operation will be added later.

Although the client is an engineering version, the UI and function design are highly completed, and the color matching and many details are very creative. The type of its own spoof avatar group is also surprisingly rich, and the animation of the input button on the main interface is also quite beautiful. Although in the eyes of the vast majority of people, these are all part of the merger, at least we can see that the art team is very attentive.
The app has common sports rankings and fitness programs. The former is a direct ranking among users, while the latter is actually a simple text plan with little practical significance. The app can also manually enter heart rate, weight, exercise, and even mood. However, in my opinion, they are the real part of the merging eggs (except GPS track recording)

The smart watch of "traditional quartz watch+bracelet core" is essentially an enhanced sports bracelet, whose core functions are similar to those of sports bracelets: vibrating alarm clock, sports and sleep records.
Many people buy smart bracelets to shock the alarm clock, but many bracelets vibrate too weakly and for too short a time to wake users. Unfortunately, the amplitude of Unik2 is not strong, but its interval vibration duration is nearly 1 minute, and this setting is quite brutal. However, for users like the author who sleep very hard, it is safer to set another mobile alarm clock or set several alarm clocks together in a row (up to 3 alarm clocks are supported).
Step count and motion statistics page
The more smart bracelets/watches you use, the less you care about the accuracy of step measurement (because their accuracy is not high, and simple step measurement data is not as useful as sleep monitoring). The step counting algorithm of Unik2 is conservative. It will not be used as a motion step counting for daily activities such as washing/typing like fitbit charge and millet bracelet, but it can still cheat the sensor by deliberately shaking the hand, so the step counting number will be slightly larger than the actual number. Although there are only a few data, the statistics page is still very refined.
In terms of sleep recording, Unik2 is much more sensitive. The machine can even record half an hour's nap (fitbit charge almost never succeeds in recording the author's nap). The algorithm can identify whether the user really sleeps or takes off the watch. There is no common "false sleep" problem of domestic bracelets/watches. The records of the machine are even a little too sensitive, which makes the deep sleep value pitifully low. Some whole sleep will be cut into two segments for display.
Unik2 also has notification push and phone search functions, which are "sandwiched" between the smart bracelet and the smart watch. The former has a high degree of completion and supports third-party and system application notification filtering. However, the way the machine pushes the notification is still "vibration+icon display", and the watch display still cannot preview the notification content.
Loss prevention function
When it is not convenient to take the mobile phone, you can look at the watch and know whether it is WeChat/SMS or Momo/Post Bar messages, which can save many times of taking the mobile phone. The Find Phone function, as its name implies, is to use a watch to control the sound of the phone so that the phone can be retrieved, and you can change the music used when the phone sounds.
What makes Unik2 different from similar products is its own screen and four buttons (entry and return on the left and up and down selection on the right), which makes it work away from the phone to a certain extent. In addition to looking for mobile phones, watches can set timers, view steps, sleep hours, and turn on/off preset alarm clocks. Although there are not many enhanced functions, the experience of the smart bracelet has improved significantly, just like the leap from no screen to a screen. The author still supports this.
In addition to its own screen, Unik2's biggest advantage over similar products is certainly its endurance. During the trial, although the Bluetooth connection with the mobile phone was not maintained all the time, the functions of step counting, sleep monitoring, and vibrating alarm clock (3 alarm clocks) were fully turned on, and the screen was lit about 20-30 times a day. A week later, the machine lost 8% of its power. The endurance is impressive. It can also be regarded as filling in the hole without a magnetic charging base.

As an engineering machine, it also has some small details that have not yet been polished. For example, there are problems with adaptation and jamming on the APP (the red rice note runs more smoothly than S6), the details page and thumbnail of the sleep record are different, the sleep record is repeated, the process of connecting once from beginning to end after Bluetooth is disconnected, and the mobile phone retrieval function of the watch is not stable.
Of course, what kind of bike do you want for a smart watch with an official preset price of about 300 yuan (the official announced that it was going to go to Taobao crowdfunding, but the specific price was not determined)? The medium appearance and feel of wearing, the high degree of completion of step counting, sleep and alarm clock functions, the support of notification push, and a small screen that allows the machine to work semi independently are all worthy of this price.
