Shut down the machine before disassembling it

Remove the SIM card. Since P8 Youth Edition has two cards, both SIM card slots must be removed.

Insert the guitar pick from the gap on the back and cut the cover on the back.

Slowly cut off all the back clips and remove the back cover.

There is 3M glue at the arrow on the back of the back cover, which is bonded to the body, so it is difficult to disassemble it during disassembly. However, be careful not to use brute force.

For the screw holes on the motherboard, the blue ones are cross screws and the red ones are T5 screws. Different screwdrivers need to be used to disassemble them.

Disassemble various screws and remove various covers and protective covers covering the motherboard.

Use a crowbar to lift up the antenna sub shift and press another metal protective cover under it.

Use flat head tweezers to pick up the metal cover plate. Below it is the battery cable.

Then remove the other two protective covers above the motherboard

Replace the display:

After the battery is removed, there are four flat cable connectors on the motherboard as shown in the red circle. After the above four flat cables are removed, we can remove the motherboard.

Pry the display panel cable with a crowbar

For volume key and power key flat cable, please note that during disassembly, it is necessary to remove the flat cable from the rear after prying up the buckle from the opposite direction of the flat cable.

Remove the light sensor, distance sensor cable and touch screen cable on the left.

After confirming the correctness and removing all cables, we can remove the motherboard from the body from the bottom up.

After removing the main board, we turn the machine over and use the hot air gun to heat the front panel evenly. Remember not to heat a place for a long time to avoid damaging the screen.
