The Lumia640 is the latest Lumia series model launched by Microsoft, with a 5-inch 720P screen, 1 million front cameras, 8 million rear cameras, Snapdragon 400+1G memory+8G ROM, and 4G dual card dual standby configuration. It is also destined to be a low-end entry machine, but it is one of the first models to support win10, and is also a "rare" new machine for the WP platform in recent years.

Packaging and accessories

It is packed in a white paper box. There is no common cardboard support inside, so it will appear a little thin. The front and back are the product publicity pictures.

The packaging designer seems to attach great importance to the selling point of "double cards and double waiting", and the font size has caught up with the product name.

The words "Nokia" could not be found on the package, which was somewhat disappointing.

In addition to the battery and warranty manual, the drawer type side pull packaging only includes the power adapter and mirco USB data cable. The font and font size of the manual have the smell of WP.

This is the lightest power adapter the author has ever encountered. The USB interface is on the side and the top is Microsoft's logo. The 5V/0.9A output faces the 2500 mAh battery of the machine, and the charging time is bound to be long (it is estimated that it will take nearly 3 minutes to fully charge).

The 2500mAh battery is not very good. Microsoft seems to be venting its sovereignty, and even the battery has added a trademark.

Airframe and workmanship

We got the blue back cover version. The rear cover of the machine body is designed as a large side enclosure, which is wrapped to the screen edge.

The camera is on the left side of the forehead of the fuselage, and the faint rectangular black box beside it is the distance and light sensor. It is the first time to see the sensor opening like this

In the middle is the trademark of Microsoft. The grid earpiece is very thin, deep and low-key, but it is easy to accumulate dust. There is nothing at the bottom, and there is an obvious speaker opening at the lower right corner.

The material of the back cover is similar to Meizu's double material injection molding, which makes it crystal clear. The middle of the back is the Microsoft trademark, and the top is the flash and camera. The machine we got has a slight misalignment problem.

The lower right corner of the bottom is a circular speaker opening. Note that this is really an opening. After opening the cover, you can see that the speaker is actually very large, and from the outside, you can see the grid of the internal speaker.

The layout of the interface and buttons is really simple. The top headphone interface, the bottom mirco USB interface, and the side power and volume buttons.

The border thickness of the portal computer can't be too much. Microsoft has given it a full fit screen anyway

The frame outside the 5-inch 720P screen is impressive, so the body is not small, but thanks to the ancestral arc edge design, the machine has a good grip.

4G dual card dual standby, TF card slot is placed on the side, which may be limited by the cost, and the display backplane is directly exposed.

The machine has many interesting and rare industrial designs, but the workmanship is not good, and it has been covered with Microsoft's trademark, but the body is still full of Nokia's flavor, and the author has no doubt about its ability to prevent falling and smashing walnuts. Moto G can be used to run Android 5.0 with Snapdragon 400+1G memory configuration. The author has no doubt that Lumia640 can run WP8.1 smoothly with it.

The most worrisome thing is Microsoft's WP system. Of course, if you want to get away from the modern disturbing intelligent life, this is a good choice. When a friend calls you AA to collect money or help order takeout, you can answer with a little sadness. I use WP... Follow others and they will look at you sympathetically.
