The top configuration of Xiaomi Note will be officially launched on May 12. This "top configuration" adopts almost all the top components, including 2K screen, Snapdragon 810, 4G Ram and the new HiFi module. What about the interior of this performance monster? Let's find out with our camera:
Before disassembling, of course, the first step is to turn off the power of the phone.
Then we take out the card holder through the clip.
Use suction cups to remove the glass rear cover.
Be careful of the snap on the back and pull the back cover down.
Open the back cover, you can see the internal structure of Xiaomi Note top configuration, and there is a graphite radiator behind the back cover.
The back cover of the Xiaomi Note top configuration uses 3D curved Corning gorilla glass, and the back is fixed by two rows of plastic snaps and adhesive tape.
Compared with the standard version, the battery capacity has improved to a certain extent, reaching 3010mAh. The battery adopts LG cell and is manufactured by SCUD Electronics.
Next, remove the lens protection cover with tweezers.
Remove the screws from the body.
Remove the antenna bracket assembly.
The top configuration of Xiaomi Note uses the S3320A touch IC from Synaptics.
Tear off the graphite radiator on the rear cover assembly with tweezers.
You can see the inside of the graphite radiator (please skip... for those with obsessive-compulsive disorder).
Next, disassemble the rear cover assembly.
Use the crowbar to gently lift the back cover assembly machine to directly see the motherboard.
Next, we cut off the power supply.
We can easily remove the battery by using the tape under the battery.
Use the crowbar to remove the FPC connection cable between the screen and the main and auxiliary boards.
Remove the front camera cable.
Use tweezers to separate the RF cable.
As the cable is very thin and the skin is very soft, it should be handled carefully during operation.
Slightly lift the mainboard and take it out.
The SoC module and HiFi module can be seen on the back of the motherboard. On the SoC, we can even see the serpentine heat conductive silicone grease, which is a common processing method on computers. The two chips next to the SoC have thermal conductive adhesive.
For the metal frame of the fuselage, silicone grease can be clearly seen at the SoC position.
After cleaning the silicone grease, you can see Samsung's memory chip, the model is K3RG2G2, which is a high-speed LPDDR4 memory with a capacity of 4G. Below the memory chip is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810. Since they are packaged together, they will not be destroyed or disassembled here.
Beside the SoC, there is a high pass PMI8994 power control IC.
It can be seen that the top configuration of Xiaomi Note uses dual power control IC, and another one is PM8996.
Qualcomm's charge management chip SMB1357.
Texas Instruments TAS2552TI low-power loudspeaker amplifier.
On the other side of the motherboard, we can see the HiFi module with a relatively scary scale. In addition to the independent dac, dual clock crystal oscillator and two-stage dual op amp, the top configuration of the Xiaomi Note also uses the new SABRE9018C2M (with the same performance as the ES9018K2M, but different packaging methods) as the DAC chip, and adds eight Panasonic PPS audio capacitors and two-stage voltage stabilized power supply, Therefore, the "stacking" level of audio chips is better than before.
SABRE9018C2M, With CSP packaging, the size of the ES9018K2M packaged by QFN is much smaller than that of the previous ES9018K2M, leaving more space for the mobile phone with "money for money". Above this chip, we can see the golden double clock crystal oscillator.
OPA1612 dual operational amplifier from Texas Instruments.
The custom version of the ADA4896 dual op amp can be seen that the identification and packaging method on the chip are different from our common ADA4896.
Since the shielding cover on the other side of the motherboard has been soldered, we will not do further disassembly here.
The motherboard is also connected with the earpiece component, which can be removed after disconnecting the ribbon cable. This component integrates several functions, such as light sensor, distance sensor, noise reduction microphone and earpiece.
The vibration motor is connected to the auxiliary board, but the vibration intensity of the motor is not strong. Many users complained about this problem in the standard version of Xiaomi Note.
Rear camera, Sony 13 megapixel IMX214 sensor, 6P lens, F2.0 aperture, with OIS optical anti shake.
UltraPixel camera with 4 million pixels in front, aperture F2.0, and single pixel up to 2 microns.
Finally, the family photo of this disassembly.
