Sony earphones can generally be divided into two types, one is a good one, and the other is a good one. But the MDR-1R that Sony once launched is a good one, and the MDR-1ABT that we received today is the Bluetooth version of 1A, the successor of 1R. So the good one and the Bluetooth audio are added. Will it be more useful without the shackles of cables?
The packaging box still has a white background, plus the setting of the product effect picture, the huge wireless and Bluetooth logo, and the Hi Res gold logo. The style is the same as the previous Z7.
There are various specifications on the back as usual, and because the Bluetooth version can control music playing, there is also a touch control guide on the back side panel.
The unit of 1ABT is a 40mm aluminum plated polymer liquid crystal diaphragm - the material of this diaphragm makes me feel nervous. Maybe 1ABT is a poor earphone again
1ABT supports aptX and LDAC. The principle of these two technologies will not be discussed here. In a word, what you need to know is that Bluetooth devices that support this technology can provide better audio quality performance than ordinary Bluetooth devices when playing music with Bluetooth. Of course, your mobile phone also supports aptX or LDAC, and flagship mobile phones of international manufacturers generally support it, At least the former will be supported, and then Sony has added the DSEE function to further improve the audio quality. However, the DSEE function should only be enabled when listening with Bluetooth.
A white jacket wraps a black box.
Open the black box and find a headset. The one hanging is still a simple description of touch operation. Tap on the shell of the right ear unit to control music playback/pause. Press and hold up and down to adjust the volume. Sliding back and forth is a cut song. It's very considerate design, and the operation power is also good.
In addition to the earphone body, there is also a 3.5mm plug, a 1.2m long earphone cable, a MicroUSB cable, a storage bag and a manual in the entire package. The original storage bag has also been in the tradition of 1R since the year, and the accessories are still conscientious.
There will be model marks on the side of the head beam.
Both the unit shell and head beam are made of metal. The head beam is covered with a layer of very soft leather. The matte one looks very classy. Then the NFC logo is convenient for NFC touch matching. Mobile phones that support NFC can touch and connect directly. As for iPhone, it is better to search for matching.
There is also a touch operation instruction inside the right head beam - it's just that many people can't see it in this place.
Ear pads are also made of genuine leather. The material is soft and comfortable. The durability should be assured. My friend's 1R has been in use since it was released a short time ago. The genuine leather has not been particularly damaged or aged. Of course, if you don't cherish it, you can't help but destroy it.
With its own microphone, you can talk with Bluetooth without worry. If the built-in battery is dead, you can also plug in the headset cable and use it as an ordinary headset directly.
There will be a vent on the top of the unit to improve low-frequency performance. Like the original 1R, the shape is no different.
The charging interface is at the bottom of the unit on the left side, and the protective cover is open. The standard MicroUSB charging is quite convenient.
In the short open box audition, Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge can be directly connected through NFC pairing. As for iPhone, it is too cumbersome to test, but there should be no problem. NFC may not be very practical, but a touch can solve many things when needed, so I feel it is necessary.
1ABT earmuffs are not as big as expected (only 40mm unit after all), and the all inclusive design will have better wearing comfort compared with other ear pressing designs. But when summer comes, the heat is certain, and the elasticity of the head beam is moderate, so even the little brother with a big head (pang) in the picture will not clip his head.
(Thanks On camera)
According to the preliminary audition, when 1ABT uses Bluetooth to connect mobile phones, the overall sound continues the style of the previous 1R, and it is not difficult to drive when directly plugging in the cable. However, the main use scenarios of this headset are mainly wireless Bluetooth listening. We will provide a detailed sound quality evaluation after a period of time, and hope you will continue to pay attention to us.
