The best price performance ratio of 100 yuan, 37 degree smart bracelet evaluation

The 37 degree bracelet is one of the few domestic bracelets with heart rate sensors. It may be the smallest heart rate sensing device. The price of 99 yuan also makes it the most intimate bracelet product with heart rate sensors. But as a price, it cancels the shock reminder function. Is this trade-off worth it? And what about its actual performance?

Very good appearance and workmanship

The touch of all black paper box packaging is very special, a little like the inner skin coating. The front is a 37 degree logo, and the back has simple parameters.

It is packed in a double-layer box. The upper layer is the bracelet body, and the lower layer is a silicone strap, charging base and instructions.

The overall workmanship of the bracelet is good. The front of the machine body is covered with specially treated aluminum alloy, and there are grid distributed smooth dots on it. According to the different viewing angles, it will have special reflective effects, while the side is a conventional CNC chamfer.

The back is black frosted plastic, the middle is an optical heart rate sensor the size of a shell, and the top is a charging contact. The side is the joint seam left by the upper and lower covers, and the charging base bayonet.

The charging base adopts micro USB interface, which is very small. But unfortunately, it does not use the magnetic suction design, and the bayonet of the prototype we got is relatively tight, so it is not convenient to open and close.

The silicone strap has a one-way twill on the outside and a horizontal projection on the inside to enhance breathability. The official foot provides 14 card holes

The fitting effect is relatively harmonious, and the metal buckle with the approximate anodic oxidation treatment also has a high strength, but it is higher than the silicon tape. When typing, the metal buckle will scratch the desktop, and the desktop and the buckle will always be "injured".

Upper middle level wearing feel

It has to be said that because of the addition of heart rate sensors, the bracelet body is also very long in similar products, but the width of the strap is well controlled.

Apart from the material and wearing tightness, there are four main factors that affect the wearing comfort of the bracelet: weight and weight distribution, watchband thickness and texture. For the bracelet without heart rate sensor, the most appropriate wearing tightness is the width that can be inserted into a finger; However, the bracelet/watch with heart rate sensor must be used close to the skin, and its tightness must be tight. This disadvantage will be more obvious when sweating in summer.

The weight of the 37 degree bracelet is slightly higher than that of similar products. In order to improve the wearing comfort, it uses the design of a thin watchband. This is a correct solution adopted by most manufacturers, but as a price, the weight of the bracelet is almost concentrated on the front. When running or quickly rotating the wrist, there will be a feeling of inertia.

In terms of wearing comfort, it is slightly inferior to the millet bracelet/bong2, a similar product with a small body, but it is still more comfortable than the Fitbit Charge with an ultra wide watchband.

In addition, although it has the shape of putting down the display, its front is really just an ordinary decoration. During the trial, several people asked me whether it can display the time... And its IP54 protection level (unable to completely prevent dust intrusion, but does not affect work, splash proof water) is lower than similar products, although it does not affect daily use, However, it is not recommended to take a bath or wash with water.

Operation and use

The bracelet itself has no interactive function. It only lights up the optical sensor on the back and the work indicator on the front when detecting heart rate/blood pressure.

The brightness/light intensity of the heart rate sensor is very high (it can easily shine through fingers), while the brightness of the front indicator light is low. It can provide seven kinds of working status indications in combination with the five colors of "red, green, cyan, yellow and blue", as well as the flashing and constantly on states, but it is estimated that few users can remember.

In terms of function, in addition to the step counting and sleep monitoring of the regular bracelet, the machine also provides five additional detection functions, namely, "blood pressure, respiratory rate, heart rate, mood, and fatigue". Each project takes between 20 seconds and 2 minutes. In order to control the endurance, the machine will only detect "blood pressure, heart rate" and other data at the whole hour.

In terms of the final endurance, the machine has its own 157mAh battery. It can open the app 4-5 times a day for synchronization and manually measure 1-2 times. The machine can persist for about 5 days, which is weaker than the Xiaomi bracelet with 2 or 30 days' endurance and the Fitbit Charge with 7 days' endurance, and only slightly stronger than the Microsoft bracelet and other products close to smart watches.

APP has powerful functions, but there is still room for improvement

Its clients are very few similar products with card design. Records such as "step counting, sleep, blood pressure, breathing, mood, fatigue" are displayed in time lines. Click specific items to see the line chart/histogram statistics of the whole day. Sliding between data can view the data of each whole point. The app will also give simple health advice.

Of course, the user can also start the measurement manually. The measurement result will be placed in a card independently, and an input box will be provided to record the physical/mental state during the measurement.

The most special feature of the machine is the "emotion and fatigue" measurement. The measurement principle is unknown, but the results are still accurate and fresh.

After each week/month passes, the app will generate a weekly health report to make detailed statistical descriptions and suggestions on the three data of sleep, blood pressure and exercise, and the degree of specialization of the blood pressure fluctuation trend chart is unexpectedly high.

What surprised the author most was its power display. It can predict the specific time of power depletion, and it is accurate to the minute level. No matter whether its accuracy is that high, even if it is only an hour level accuracy, it is far more practical than the conventional percentage power display.

However, its app also has some unscientific settings: probably because of the addition of heart rate sensors, the official is too confident about the movement and sleep judgment of the machine, and the app does not provide the usual manual modification function. In addition, the data of each day is independent. In the data of that day, it is impossible to jump to data of other dates like that of similar products, which causes obvious inconvenience when comparing daily conditions. In addition, the official does not provide any other date jump method, so users can only find it on the home page slowly

accuracy

Since there are few bracelets with heart rate sensors, it is difficult to verify the measured data such as heart rate, blood pressure and respiratory rate. However, the accuracy of the optical monitoring itself is very high, that is, the heart rate monitoring app using the mobile phone flash as the light source can also provide good accuracy, so the accuracy problem is not too big.

Fitbit on the left, 37 degree bracelet on the right

In terms of footwork, we used Fitbit Charge as the comparison object. After five days of walking around, the basic conclusion is:

  • The value of the 37 degree bracelet is small, with a small range of 20-30%;

  • Charge is still famous for its large scale, and it can easily break through 100% (perhaps in order to make everyone's data look better, it deliberately does not filter non motion jitters such as typing?).

This error sounds like a big one, but it is really the error level that is often found in sports bracelets nowadays... However, as a senior costume dog, the author prefers the error direction of Fitbit.

37 degree bracelet on the left and fitbit on the right

In terms of sleep monitoring, there is the addition of heart rate sensor (which can sense heartbeat/blood pressure and other data for state judgment), and the machine's sleep and wake time judgment is extremely accurate, and the accuracy is very close to that of fitbit. The sleep statistics of the two devices are highly coincident, and even the data of sleeping back can be displayed (4.4 data). But the 37 degree bracelet itself has heart rate sensor data for judgment, and the statistical data can be divided into deep and shallow sleep, which makes people feel that its accuracy will be higher.

summary

The health function of the 37 degree bracelet is really in place. Both the health data and suggestions are richer than those of the peers. Although the accuracy of step counting is average, sleep monitoring has much more capital than domestic rivals, and it also has additional health monitoring such as heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, mood, fatigue, etc. It is a rare bracelet product that can make health monitoring so comprehensive.

However, there is no vibrator inside the machine, and there is no vibrating alarm clock/call vibrating function of conventional bracelets (although many domestic bracelets have weak vibration, almost all have this function), and the machine also has no time display function. If the determination to exercise and keep fit is not strong, the lack of time display function may make the machine less practical.

But these problems are no longer obvious in front of the two selling points of "heart rate sensor+99 yuan". After all, there are few bracelets with heart rate sensors, and the "reputation price" of Xiaomi bracelets is 79 yuan, and the regular bracelet bong2 costs 99 yuan. There is no doubt that the 37 degree bracelet is one of the most cost-effective bracelets at present.

fabulous:

  • Heart rate sensor, many types of health monitoring

  • Accurate exercise state judgment and sleep data

  • Price conscience

  • Good workmanship, easy to use

Step on:

  • Alarm clock/call vibrating function missing

  • The core part is too large

  • The protruding metal watch buckle is difficult to maintain, and may scratch the desktop
