Powerful wearable device, Huawei MWC 2015 new product begins to play

This time, Huawei focused on wearable smart devices in MWC 2015, and released three new wearable devices, namely, Huawei Watch, TalkBand B2 and N1. On traditional hardware devices, it only brought MediaPad X2, a tablet computer. Let's take a look at these new products.

MediaPad X2:

The first is MediaPad X2, which is positioned as a cross-border product of tablet computers and mobile phones. It has a 7-inch 1920 × 1200 IPS screen with a pixel density of 323ppi. It supports voice calls and LTE Cat. 6 networks.

The MediaPad X2 looks like an enlarged version of Mate 7. The MediaPad X2 uses a lightweight aluminum alloy all-in-one body, and the screen proportion reaches 80%.

Inside the body, MediaPad X2 uses Huawei's latest mobile processor Kirin 930, which is an eight core Cortex-A53 design. The maximum frequency of four cores is 2.0GHz, and the maximum frequency of the other four cores is 1.5GHz. The GPU is Mali-T6285000 mAh battery, which is a non removable design and supports dual SIM cards.

In terms of storage, it uses a very common combination of 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. In addition, there are more high-end 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM for consumers to choose from. Both of them run Emotion UI 3.0 based on Android 5.0 system.

The number of pixels of the rear camera is 13 million, and the number of pixels of the front lens is 5 million.

The thickness of the fuselage is 7 mm, and the weight is 239g. The fuselage is divided into two colors: moonlight silver and rose gold, which correspond to the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM version and the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM version, respectively. Both support SD card to expand memory.

When you hold the MediaPad X2 body in your hand, it feels quite lightweight overall. For such a body size, the grip is also good. The frosted aluminum body provides a good feel and grip stability.

Huawei did not announce the price of MediaPad X2 at this press conference. In the current competitive market environment for 7-inch tablets, Huawei's MediaPad X2 does not stand out. Therefore, whether Huawei can stand up to rivals such as Asus Fonepad depends largely on how Huawei sets its price.

Huawei watch:

Compared with MediaPad X2, the smart watch released by Huawei this time has attracted more attention. Huawei watches use a round dial design similar to LG and MOTO, but the difference is that the screen resolution is higher and more options can be customized.

The shell of the watch is made of cold formed stainless steel. The shell diameter is 42mm. For a smart watch, it is a relatively compact body. The thickness is 11.3mm, and the body weight is relatively light. It may not be suitable for people who like heavier watches.

The color of the watch body provides silver, black and gold.

The seamless connection between the watchband and the body makes the overall appearance more beautiful. The watchband matched by Huawei includes leather, metal and fiber watchbands.

Of course, the watchband can be changed at will. The watchband displayed by Huawei on the spot also looks very classy.

When Huawei released the Huawei watch, it specifically said that Huawei watches can be worn on the user's left or right hand, but the asymmetric button design of Huawei watches may make it difficult to control when wearing them on the right hand.

Huawei watches use a 1.4 inch AMOLED, 400 × 400 resolution screen, which has exceeded LG in terms of the fineness of the screen. However, in the actual appearance, Huawei watches do not have any special advantages, but the lights are extremely bright when playing. Huawei watches do not show any lack of brightness or difficulty in reading the surface.

More importantly, Huawei watches are the first smart watches that use scratch resistant sapphire glass. Although Apple watches will also use sapphire glass, the sapphire glass of Apple watches will only be available on high-end models.

Huawei watches provide a total of 40 dial designs, all of which are very beautiful. At first glance, Huawei watches are no different from traditional watches. Only when its intelligent functions are used, will it reveal the true look of the Android Wear intelligent system.

Other built-in hardware includes a heart rate sensor, which can track the fitness and health status of users with an application specially developed by Huawei. Huawei has also cooperated with Jawbone to make this app support more wearable devices. For users, they can also directly use the Google Fit application with Huawei watches.

Huawei watches also have a 6-axis motion sensor, barometer and vibration motor built in, which can be compatible with Android 4.3 and above smartphones using Bluetooth 4.1. The effective connection range is about 10 meters, and the built-in 300 mAh battery. Huawei claims that Huawei watches can last 1.5 to 2 days.

Huawei watches will be launched in various parts of the world by the middle of this year, but the price has not yet been announced.

TalkBand B2:

The TalkBand B2 released this time is a follow-up product of TalkBand B1 on MWC last year. The appearance of B2 has been redesigned. The body color is available in black, silver and champagne. The embedded Bluetooth headset can be removed and used when users need it.

The body size is 62 × 20.6 × 11mm, and the weight is 16.8g, of which the earphone part weighs 9.4g.

The charging interface of B2 is on its handsfree module, which is inconvenient when B2 needs to be charged. Huawei official data claims that the standby time of B2 can reach 5 days, the continuous talk time of Bluetooth is 6 hours, and the charging time from 0 to 100 is 1.5 hours.

In front of B2, a 0.73-inch PMOLED display screen is equipped with high brightness, but the display effect of this screen should not be expected too much. This screen is sufficient when users need to read pedometer data, calorie data, sleep data and use it as a stopwatch.

B2 can be compatible with phones above Android 4.0 and iOS 7, which is enough for mainstream smart phones at present, but I hope it can support Windows Phone in the future.

The starting price of TalkBand B2 will be 179 euros, equivalent to 1255 yuan. Huawei's watchbands are black, white and brown.

TalkBand N1:

Although there is a "Band" in its name, N1 is actually a Bluetooth headset developed for fitness users, which has the ability to prevent splashing.

The most distinctive feature of this headset is that it can tell the user in voice how far away from the deployment target set by the user. The body weight is 18 grams. The N1 can provide a maximum standby time of 108 hours, a continuous talk time of 4.5 hours, and a continuous music playback time of 7 hours.

In addition to the simple Bluetooth headset function, N1 also has 4GB of memory space, which can store songs. After connecting to the mobile phone through Bluetooth 3.0, users can control the playback of music stored in the headset through the supporting APP. The supported music formats include MP3, WMA, FLAC, WAV, APE and ACC. The frequency response of the headset is 20Hz~20000Hz. At the same time, Huawei has also added the APTX function to improve the sound quality.

The body color of N1 will be champagne, silver and pink, and the price may be between 100 and 200 euros, but the specific price is still uncertain.
