Online video manufacturer Fluorite launched its own sports camera "Fluorite S1" in December 2014. Shortly after that, Xiaomi pushed the Xiaoyi camera, and the sports camera suddenly caught fire.

This is a sad and happy thing for other manufacturers. The happy thing is that sports cameras are hot, and they can save a lot of advertising expenses; Sadly, other manufacturers have to confront this price butcher. Before the detailed evaluation, let's have a picture appreciation.

Packaging and accessories

What we got is a package version. In addition to the sports camera on the left, there is also an independently packaged selfie rod.

The package is simple, but there are a lot of accessories inside, such as power supply, remote control, remote control strap, waterproof shell, etc.

fuselage

The size of the fuselage is a little smaller than that of GoPro, Xiaoant and other peer products.

The front of the fuselage is smooth, and the back is frosted skin coating. The top is the video key and indicator light, the bottom is the 1/4-inch bracket connector and speaker, the left is the connector cover, the right is the power and wifi buttons, and their respective indicators. It is worth noting that fluorite S1 is one of the few sports cameras that uses built-in batteries.

There is also a status indicator on the left side of the machine (really many lights...), and the interfaces include the TF card slot, the miro HDMI and the mirco USB charging interface.

selfie stick

The selfie stick is relatively long, but the total amount is very light. There is a sponge anti slip pad at the handshake. There is also a 1/4-inch standard interface at the bottom. It can also be connected to other tripods.

The rotation angle of the self timer is 180 degrees, but the default angle is inclined to one side to facilitate self timer.

The selfie stick is also a conventional rotary fixed type, which is composed of 4 sections. The length of the selfie stick when fully unfolded is very considerable (the left side of the picture above shows a 5.2 inch mobile phone).

Remote control

The shoulder belt remote control is fully frosted. The right side of the monochrome display is an ultraviolet sensor. The back mounting is frosted aluminum alloy. There is only one set key on the side. The built-in keys have the feel of the entry-level keyboard phone of the year (look at the shape, the waterproof level should not be low).

The bottom of the remote control is a mirco USB charging port, and the strap sponge is thick and has air holes.

Waterproof shell

Fully transparent waterproof shell with classic shape.

The touch of the pin type key is hard, and there is a waterproof ring on the side of the back cover.

After removing the built-in PTZ, the waterproof shell can be fixed on the self timer rod.
