Remember? The "death grip" of iPhone 4, Apple finally The antenna design causes the problem that the signal is weakened when the user holds the mobile phone in a certain posture, and provides the user with a free mobile phone case as compensation.
This event has made science popularization to the public: different holding positions may affect the signal strength of mobile phones. Although the iPhone 4s and later mobile phones have improved the antenna design, saying goodbye to the "death grip", the influence of the hand on the signal strength still exists. That is to say, although many people hate to add a cover to a mobile phone, they have to admit that the cover has a positive effect on the mobile phone signal, but the positive effect is not obvious.
We recently received a mobile phone case Linkase Pro from a Taiwanese company. In general, we do not evaluate the case, but it claims to enhance the signal strength of the iPhone. Taking the iPhone 6 Plus version as an example (as shown in the above figure), this mobile phone case provides two pull-out antennas, namely 4G and 3G signal enhancement antennas.
Both iPhone peripheral manufacturers and enthusiasts familiar with the design of mobile phones know that the location of these two antennas is the location of the corresponding iPhone antenna. Every year, Apple sends a copy of iPhone to hardware developers ( , pages 17-18), the position of the antenna that should not be touched with metal is marked in detail. Therefore, the positions of these two antennas are very particular.
As a mobile phone case, Linkase Pro is very common. It is made of plastic. The advantage is that sanding treatment has certain anti fingerprint and anti slip effects. Unlike some mobile phone cases, which completely surround the bottom power supply and headphone interface, it is left empty for daily use, but dust prevention is not a problem. If you like the slim phone case, Likase Pro is not your dish. But this 300 yuan mobile phone case has a more important mission - enhancing the mobile phone signal.
This is the first time that we have heard of the case with antenna. So it slipped on the mobile phone for several times. Maybe it was just used at the beginning, and the sliding was not smooth. It is estimated that this structure will become more flexible with more use.
The antenna of Linkase Pro is called , Electro Magnetic Waveguide means electromagnetic waveguide. It is equivalent to setting up an external antenna for the mobile phone to receive more signals.
We all have this experience: no matter which operator's network is used, there are always some places with poor signal, or even no signal. Can this mobile phone case play a role of "wonder" in these places?
The long test process began like this. I picked up the iPhone 6 Plus and decisively downloaded SpeedTest and FieldTester, two professional signal test software.
Since it is said that holding a mobile phone will interfere with the signal, I will not believe this evil. I will first run to see the 4G performance without a shell. The upload speed of SpeedText test is 31.88Mbps, and the download speed is 37.11Mbps (the performance is good, where is the legend so exaggerated). Then I put the shell on the phone and pulled out the antenna to start the test. The upload speed of SpeedText test was 30.74Mbps, and the download speed was 46.68Mbps. The test results really surprised me. The download speed has increased so much, but the test environment is indoor after all. Would it be better to change the environment?
So I decisively ran to the closed elevator (as we all know, many mobile phone signals enter the elevator directly without service, so it is more reliable to test here). As soon as I entered the elevator, the mobile phone signal immediately fell to three bars, opened the test software FieldTester and measured the 4G signal reading to 17%, then I put the phone on the shell and opened the antenna to test again, Miracle happened. The cell phone signal became four bars, and the 4G signal reading became 35%. Later, I repeated measurements in the elevator, and the results were all improved.
Finally, I came to the outside and found an empty space surrounded by tall buildings. I took out my mobile phone and saw how there were two signals. Is the signal source blocked by the tower? The 4G signal reading measured by FieldTester is 4%, which is just a sight to behold. So I decisively pulled out the antenna and raised it above my head. I measured the 4G signal with FieldTester, and the reading became 12%. The cell phone signal also miraculously became three bars. I was surprised as well as surprised! (I didn't test the subway and mountain areas, after all, those places themselves can't find 4G signals)
With a dubious attitude, I returned to the office. Although there was some improvement in the test results of three places, I think it would be better to do some more ground-based tests. To make it clear that 4G is nothing more than surfing the Internet or watching videos. Since this shell has improved the signal, I will check the speed of loading web pages and videos and open the stopwatch, Take off the shell and start timing to open the web page. From opening the browser to the full display of the page, it takes 9.38 seconds in the 4G state. Then I put on the shell and open the antenna. Repeat the operation again, and the time becomes 7.06 seconds. 2 The wonderful promotion surprised me.
What about the speed of video loading? Sina Video also loads a video screen, which takes 4.12 seconds in the 4G state, but 3.67 seconds after putting on the shell and opening the antenna. The viewing environment has also improved to a certain extent. (However, during the test, my own mobile phone traffic was nearly 200 MB wasted.)
It can be seen that after pulling out the antenna, this mobile phone case almost immediately increases the 4G speed. However, in the Beijing subway section without 4G signal, it is impossible to pull out the antenna when walking out of the subway, at least in my own test. So it can be determined that it has the effect of enhancing signals, but it has no ability to transform decay into magic. If you want to make things better, don't expect too much.
Linkase also has a case that supports the iPhone 5s for enhanced Wi Fi and 3G signals. Colleagues tested on his mobile phone, and he said:
I always have a dream that when I "work" in the building toilet, I can also connect to the company's Wi Fi to brush my friends' circle. After using Linkase, I did find more Wi Fi, even several intermittent connections, but... Nima... none of them can access the Internet. Better use 3G data. For the test, my legs were numb.
The above is our test results for your reference.
This product can be bought in Tokyo, and can be adapted to iPhone 6/6 Plus (288 yuan), iPhone 5/5s (198 yuan), with a variety of colors available. Officially, the Galaxy Note 4 will also be launched, and the iPhone 6 case with Wi Fi and 4G antenna versions is under consideration.
It should be noted that Linkase supports the networks of the three major domestic operators, but if you want to take it abroad, please check To see if it supports the operator network of the country.
